Madeleine in the comics got the name Goblin queen because she made a pact with a goblin demon and she now runs parts of hell. Sinister is obsessed with jean and Scott because Scott has superior DNA. Meaning he has the perfectly pure mutant genes to create omega level mutants and Jean is already an omega. Sinister knows that a child born from both of them would be absolutely unstoppable. Possibly powerful enough to defeat his master Apokolips.
This was a chaotic episode. Scott realizes that the Jean he is with and has a baby with isn't the real one. I felt bad for Madelyne Pryor for thinking she was the real Jean with memories. Poor Gambit. Morph is so wrong for rubbing it in that Rogue and Magneto are a thing. I hope that isn't the case and the reason for the Magneto and Rogue storyline is he probably trying to teach her a new method on how use her powers where she can touch without putting those that she touch in a coma/unconscious. I never read the comics, just going off what I hope is the case. I do hope they explain the moment and time that Jean got swapped from Madelyne Pryor in another episode. Madelyne Pryor powers are insane when she puts the X-Men through horrific visions. Like damn my boy Gambit is going through it after him seeing that vision of Rogue and Magneto. As well, poor Nathan for being infected with the virus and for Cyclops and Madelyne for making the difficult choice to have him go with Bishop. You can tell by the hair which Jean is the original(ponytail) and the clone( hair down).

That was Madelyne, not Jean, who sent her son to the future. Jean wouldn't have memories of Nathan because she didn't experience it.
