You've just explained what's going on with me in the first 2 mins...I have the early symptoms and it's been extremely frustrating, especially the hair loss and cold. Thank you!!!
Holy crap I have 90% of these symptoms and always suspected I might have hypothyroidism but my dr was like oh no you’re thyroidnis fine based on my tsh results but he didn’t even check t3 or t4. Thank you doc I’m scheduling my own bloodwork this week.
I really felt something is wrong with my body this past 3 years, I can't remember things the way I used to and I can't stand the cold. I'm glad to find this video.
I dont have trouble with this symptom , never really have but it gets people in different ways. I find that by late afternoon i need to sleep so i set my alarm for an hour or so and have a sleep. I have had hypothyroidism from birth so used to it by now. This is called Congenital hypothyroidism.
It is heart warming to hear silence again without sound disturbance, all thanks to Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel for his herbal medication free from hypothyroidism
I read an article about hypothyroidism in a magazine in the break room at work and realized I had a lot of the symptoms. The worst one was fatigue - I'd get home after work, fix dinner for me and my son and then just lay on the couch until bedtime. At my next dr appointment I asked to be tested. She asked a couple of questions, felt my neck and agreed. Started on levethyroxine within two days but it took several months to get the dosage right.
Homoeopathic medicines if prescribed by a good Homoeopath and taken regularly gives wonderful results not only in symptoms but also helps to stop other tablets.
Try using natural thyroid medicine made at a Compounding chemist ? It’s made from pigs 🐖 feet 😝.. something of this nature . ( they are not killed or harmed for this ) The only part that’s really hard to know is TSH. T3 & T4 … have a range guide) Eg : 10-20 .. always aim for what’s Comfortable for yourself, but 13,14 is a good thing. 13.5 was always my best reading. I feel like that’s my sweet spot and all is working together. But now it’s a Male doctor who says 10 is perfect. Shits me. As if I don’t know my own feel good level. So it’s been depression anxiety now I’ve got trigger finger skin dry , signs Of arthritis all over my hands. In 3 weeks my skin has aged me by 30 yrs . Hands are so sore . Dr says you have tennis elbow and carpet tunnel . Have it cut and have injections to help. Not thyroid coz it’s at 10 . That’s the low end of the range, he’s putting me at risk. What would I know though. Doctors need to Wake up. Those Doctors in the past were the best I’ve had , she ..who dared to make a difference always get kicked out or seen to be doing wrong by government. Everyone is built differently. Thanks for this video . I will be sending it to my current doctor in hope he might wake up to the pain he’s causing me.
It can do, i have problems to this day and i was born with it. As it is an endocrinological condition and hormonal, the thyroid can decide it's not playing over a period of time and that's why we have blood tests to check the levels
Got my blood test back from my doctor and my TSH levels are at 10.67 mIU/L and diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism. I dealt with depression in the past, and currently dealing with some these other symptoms. It’s great to know what is causing these issues and can do something about it now.
@@MohdDanish-sh6kx Not yet. I'm scheduled for my next blood test November 2nd then I'll see my doctor a week afterwards. My doctor thinks my starting dose of Levothyroxine will not be effective enough. He told me it's required to be started at the lowest dose first before increasing it if need be. My guess is it'll probably still be high, but I'm at least hoping there will be some improvement.
I am always freezing cold but always hungry, chronic diarrhea, dry brittle fingernails, no possibility of weight loss even with one meal per day, always tired, low energy, often depressed, hair falling out in big handfuls, tingling in hands and sometimes sharp burning sensation in the hands, scattered thinking, dry skin, terrible joint pain, feeling of a lump in my throat, so, I am self-diagnosing myself with low-thyroid function. I guess it's time I got serious about this. It has been like this for many, many years, yet my Doctor told me I have no problem with my Thyroid... I think he did not do the right tests. Thank you for your excellent video... I feel could be life-changing for me.
@Carlos Semit what would you recommend for me , low energy IBS that dry itchy throat thin mucus fatigue dry itchy .my blood work is always coming back normal
Oh poor you!! It must be harder for people who are diagnosed with hypothyroidism later in life as they feel well!then wham, it hits them like a steam roller!!!. I have had it all my life so got used to it. Go to your Dr who will do blood tests , prescribe medication and maybe refer you to an endocrinologist who works with this part of the body and the hormones that are connected to the thyroid.
@@racheldemain1940 Thanks for your message... since I have been strict with eating Carnivore for a few months, I am feeling better and better... I don't eat any grains, vegetables or fruits now so I am starting to feel ten years younger... Though it is challenging to eat such a boring diet of only meats and salt... nothing else I just can't go back because of how much better I feel.
@@Dakiniwoman If you are overweight and want to lose weight, surely there is no chance that you would not lose weight on 1 meal a day, unless that meal contained very many calories. The laws of physics still apply so if you have a base metabolic rate of X calories per day, eating less than that will necessarily mean you will lose weight because you are not a perpetual motion machine and can't create the energy you use from the air you breathe. I personally wouldn't suggest 1 meal a day but perhaps counting and dividing the calories in 3 or at least 2 meals per day and many nowadays say it might be healthy to eat those inside a shorter window like 8 hours. It's even better if that window is earlier in the day rather than in the evening, so something like 3 meals evenly spaced to keep the metabolism going between 8am to 4pm or 6pm. Exercise helps metabolism not get destroyed during weightl loss, and it doesn't even need to be too hard. Even walking is good if one does it regularly for example 1h per day outside. I definitely wouldn't suggest carnivore as the longer term heart disease risk comes from the higher cholesterol levels from that diet. Even that "carnivore MD" Saladino quit the diet and is eating fruits with his meat now so I would try to find things other than meat that you can tolerate to diversify the diet as well, at least in the long term. Carnivore might be ok for shorter periods as an experiment and to lose weight, but there isn't long term studies and the risks are obvoius.
I went to the doctors a couple months back due to feeling dizzy constantly.. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. But I started to feel better! Months later I have began to loose a lot of hair and it’s so unlikely for me.. and I’m starting to get worried. Mind you I’m only 19! Thank you for this video!

I'm wearing a scarf and flannel pants in August as I watch this. So intolerant to the cold! Feels like constant depression with a mild chronic flu (muscle, joint aches etc). Just diagnosed with hypothyroid a few days ago and started levothyroxine. Thank you for explaining it all so eloquently and making it easy to understand. Have a lot to learn so this has been a big help.
I have been living with hypothyroidism for a long time, at first I did not care about it, but now I just started feeling the tip of fingers somewhat numbness and tingling, so I guess it is taking a toll now, I have to see the doctor now!
Why can't doctors like this actually exist? Someone that cares, actually LISTENS and isn't trying to sell you the latest antidepressant or any other pill they can get you hooked on. Honestly they're like slimy car salesmen.

Not everyone has all of these symptoms, you may only have a few of them and elderly people may have very few symptoms except for the mental decline. Therefore, thyroid tests are to be done on any elderly person being evaluated for mental decline. Also, anyone suffering from depression should have a thyroid check done at least once early in their evaluation.

I’m a little confused. The main reason I decided to get my thyroid tested was because I was suffering from heat intolerance. I can barely be active if the temperature is over 75*F because I overheat so easily. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism but everyone always talked about hypothyroidism being sensitive to cold and hyperthyroidism being sensitive to heat. Is it possible that they can cross over?
This also happens to me .. I started out with high thyroid they did treatment caused it to go low I have issues trying keep it normal now .. as long it’s in the normal range they don’t do anything about it ..
Absolutely yes!!!! They can't get my dose right, at the moment I'm freezing all the time but when my beautiful girls were little I could not tolerate the heat, my last bloodtest came back ridiculously low why I'm cold. But when I was younger it was too high and could not tolerate heat take care everyone ❤❤❤❤❤

Also other symptoms I get are morning stiffness acheness, weight loss, sadness, no sex drive. @@clairedaly4530 I just got diagnosed with this too and from what I understand not everyone has the same symptoms though fatigue + depression seem to be the most common ones. What was your TSH level? If it's below 0.5 that's hyperthyroidism and if it's above 4.5 that's hypo
I hope you feel so much better xxx. I have been battleting it for awhile. I lost my thyroid through cancer and I had brilliant Specialist who actually cared, sadly Professor has passed.
So many of these symptoms overlap with low testosterone. Turns out I am low in both thyroid and testosterone, and have most of these symptoms. What causes it? How do I treat it?
Excellent presentation! Covered a lot of my symptoms. I could never get diagnosed because my TSH was in an acceptable range. But two of my sisters had Hashimoto thyroiditis, another just "hypothyroid". Two other sibs, like me, had the symptoms, but never a diagnosis, and coincidentally, we were all gluten free. Finally I made progress when I cooked up a big batch of fried cabbage and ate it heartily. The next day I couldn't get out of bed. That's when I found out that my thyroid is sensitive to the kale/cole crops. Do you think I am the only one in my family that has this condition? I don't, and so I hope to see more research delineating the condition: how common is it, what are the tong term effects, when should a diagnosis be considered? I was in my mid 60's when I found out, but had left the work force early because mentally and physically, I couldn't go on. Oh, and the long term outcome for me came a couple years after diagnosis. I developed pancreatitis. For me it seems odd that I had two glands that weren't functioning. I wondered if maybe I was more sensitive to sulfur than just the kale/cole crops. So I doubled down on a low sulfur regimen. And my pancreatic enzymes receded! We know that in this condition, it's about thiocyanates competing to get iodine. Don't all women have dietary thiols in their bloodstream? Then it's a matter of some people, men too, being better at clearing sulfurous compounds than other people. So it's not a matter of the TSH being out of range, the thyroid itself has nothing to do with this. And that's why this condition is under-diagnosed, and misunderstood. I hope in the future you can do a presentation on it.
@@TriciaStCharles Sorry, I was unclear. Never did get diagnosed with HT, possibly because I've been gluten free since 1984. What I finally found out was that I have that issue that I can't eat the cruciferous veggies as they interfere with how my thyroid makes the hormone. Actually, when I developed pancreatitis three years after the "no cabbage edict" I decided to double down on a low sulfur approach because it seemed weird that the thyroid and pancreas are glands, and both glands seemed to be malfunctioning. Odds were, that the cause was connected to both glands. I had to cut out coffee, which to this day makes me very ill, chocolate, black pepper, onions, and beans, but after I did that my pancreas enzyme levels dropped back to normal. In the end, I think that even though my TSH was acceptable, the amount of usable, hormone, activated with iodine, was so low that it couldn't influence the pancreas. After that, it becomes an issue that this condition needs to be taken seriously. Women who have been diagnosed with it need to be followed up with to see if they get complications similar to my pancreas problem. I think it's a weak link in women's health care to overlook and under diagnose it. Hell, I don't think this condition even has a proper name!

4:32 By the way, I found this one video, an expert on thyroid and skin issues mentioned that someone with hypothyroidism, especially chronic hypothyroidism, may have intensely oily/greasy skin, on the face, on the scalp, on the upper portion of torso, and on the upper portion of the back. And that's kind of exactly what I've been struggling with, and because of all the other symptoms I have I'm suspecting I had hypothyroidism all these years (in a few days I'll do the necessary blood tests). And I'm also noticing that it's such a rarity to see people with such a problematic face and scalp skin, so oily, so dirty actually (impossible to keep clean), so acneic. Most people have no idea how incredibly fortunate they are, when it comes to the skin. I look at others and I'm just amazed - "it's incredible how perfect the skin of human beings actually is"... Heck, you can even take cancer patients or people with some severe disease, and their skin is STILL amazing. I don't know what kind of lottery I personally "won", but it's not fun, like at all.

Hello everyone. I'm writing here because I was wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between anxiety and hypothyroidism... I have depression and anxiety and notice lots of physical symptoms along the way (dizziness, fatigue, sickness, nots in stomach, headaches...). I stumbled across hypothyroidism during my daily symptoms research (I have terrible health anxiety) and I am wondering if there's a difference. It would mean a lot🙏
I would advice against that.Aftwr a while of not taking thyroxine things can go wrong. The thyroxine is a synthetic thyroid and creates the function your thyroid can't. This gland controls your metabolism and keeps you well. Speak to your Dr about your medication, you can't dothis on your own.
Thank you for all the information you have provided I was diagnosed with the sys.lupus at a very young age but could not get any information about it or information to treat it other than a big dose of antibiotics and steroids when I had a flare up. Thank you again!!!

No, its usually hypo. the goiter is because your thyroid grows to try to produce enough hormone. Goiters used to be more common, and it was regional, not all soils have enough iodine to get into your foods, therefore goiters/hypothyroidism from lack of iodine. this is a pretty rare cause now because so many of our foods are supplemented and are not regionally grown. you can have a thyroid nodule or tumor producing too much hormone and be hyperthyroid, but this would be a localized swelling of part of the thyroid, not overall enlargement like a goiter is.

I dont have trouble with this symptom , never really have but it gets people in different ways. I find that by late afternoon i need to sleep so i set my alarm for an hour or so and have a sleep. I have had hypothyroidism from birth so used to it by now. This is called Congenital hypothyroidism.
Hello friends have you guys tried herbal remedy? I got from Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel, and am free from hypothyroidism
( they are not killed or harmed for this )
The only part that’s really hard to know is TSH.
T3 & T4 … have a range guide) Eg : 10-20 .. always aim for what’s
Comfortable for yourself, but 13,14 is a good thing.
13.5 was always my best reading. I feel like that’s my sweet spot and all is working together. But now it’s a
Male doctor who says 10 is perfect. Shits me. As if I don’t know my own feel good level.
So it’s been depression anxiety now I’ve got trigger finger skin dry , signs
Of arthritis all over my hands.
Doctors need to
Wake up.

Thanks for this information. How were you able to eventually get a diagnosis since your TSH were in the within the normal range?
Thank you for the education ❤

@@JoyT01 This information has needs great help to me. When I tell the doctors my body feels like it has a motor or a jack hammer. They just look at me like I’m crazy. They never check my thyroid. I’m tired all the time even when I’ve just gotten up, Anemia , heart palpitations, too hot or too cold, can’t loose weight even though I don’t eat a lot of food. I’m going to get my thyroid check. Thx again.
Thank you.. It was useful..
Super Doctor😊
Thank you.
I AM ALL OF THAT! I AM ALSO G6PD DEFICIENT AND SICKLE CELL TRAIT!
I have soo many of these symptoms
Hail from Canada!
I'm 25 and always tired even after 7+ hours sleep, I get dizzy alot, bad wrinkles with combination skin, my hair is slightly greying already and looks abit thinner and so does my eyebrow hair. My weight goes up and down but I thought that was because I like beer but now I'm thinking I have thyroid issues. I just have anxiety about going to the doctor... 😥 Symptoms for nearly a year.
It is heart warming to hear silence again without sound disturbance, all thanks to Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel for his herbs remedy..
Hope you went to the doctor and are feeling better.
Excellent presentation, just the facts. I have many of these symptoms, cold intolerance, weak metabolism, constipation, brain fog, rubbish appetite, muscle cramps and weakness too, with severe fatigue thrown in, to name a few. Started on Levothyroxin 50mcgs, not much effect, about to go to 75mcg to see if this has any effect. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, which I've been reliably informed, plays a part in developing hyperthyroidism. So, it's just a waiting game with the medication, I just want my life to return to some level of normalcy. Thank you for this straightforward video it's been a great help.
Regards Rob (UK)
I hope you feel better soon! It's horrid isn't it, I'm freezing cold and I live in Australia lol, skinny, never hungry and have a lot of koint pain at 49! I've had this disease since my 20s and am on 200mcgms and they can never seem to get the level right, 😢
@@Steamedhams-f6l Thank you for your reply. I forgot to mention I have rheumatoid arthritis too, but that's behaving at the moment. I've read somewhere that arthritis can be a causal agent of hypothyroidism!! I battle on, it's all we can do, take care.
Regards Rob.
@@robstammers7149how are you feeling now?
I have it. Doctor put me on levothyroxine... hasn't helped me. Not sure what to do at this point.
Maybe the dose isn’t right, I take levothyroxine and it works well, but I know some people who have issues getting the dosage right then you will feel better
You may need to take synthroid sometimes the levothyroxine doesn't work because its the generic brand
@@cindysherrick2042 works well for me, why would I need the original $$$ no thanks

Sir can you explain to me if why diabetes type 2 can have hypertension and hypothydism

Excellent presentation
My doctor told me that my t3 uptake is irrelevant to finding out whether or not I have hypothyroidism, my t3 uptake was low . Now, I’m not doctor or anything but when I looked up on google, “ what does low t3 indicate?” The first thing I see pop up is hypothyroidism. So idk if it is ignorance of my doctor but she seems to not know about hypothyroidism I have been having the symptoms for close to a year now with no treatment and each day just get worse and worse for me I feel so tired everyday and my thyroid is also enlarged. So idk why I can’t get treated as soon as possible just because my tsh and t4 levels were normal. I need treatmentt ASAP and I’m denied treatment it’s so sad. I’m tired of feeling like this
I hope you got some help it can be really difficult to go through
Doctors are mostly useless to me.
@Kimberly Chance you’re a living testimony that people are annoying.
Before we could measure TSH levels, it was common to check T3 level, T4 level and T3 uptake. Now that TSH can be measured, doing T3 uptake levels is generally not done now.
Thank u science

By the way, I found this one video, an expert on thyroid and skin issues mentioned that someone with hypothyroidism, especially chronic hypothyroidism, may have intensely oily/greasy skin, on the face, on the scalp, on the upper portion of torso, and on the upper portion of the back.
Maxim P I have spots on my head for past 2 years and I have no idea why. The also itch. I get shampoo from my doctor but it keeps coming back. I have type 2 diabetes and under active thyroid. I take 150 of thyroxine. Also constantly tired. I'm going to make appointment or at least get a fonecall with doctor to get bloods done. I think my thyroid has dropped again.

It can be other things too, too. Some type of toxicity, for example. For example amalgams can be the origin of all sorts of health problems.
Also I recently discovered that hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's disease) can (and often is) be caused by mercury toxicity.
Thank u well explained and understood.
I cleared up my hypothyroidism with the help of natural herbs medications from Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel.

Hello everyone.. was diagnosed in 99 been taking levothyroxine.. & now thinking about surgery
Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam African roots and herbs cured my hypothyroidism problem am grateful doc
thank you so much 🥰🥰
which medicine is best for hypothyroidism please provide medicine name or picture. hypothyroidism is lifetime deases or it can be prevention.dr
@Kimberly Chance ,hi Kimberly ,I'm Razina please can u help me ?
Generally treated with oral Levothyroxine ( the hormone you are no longer producing). dose varies person to person, and your dose may change gradually over years. True hypothyroidism is going to be a lifetime diagnosis.
good review 👍
my TSH levels were 370 mIU/L and I experienced almost all of the symptoms
What is your report now
Hi, this is amazing information. What kind of specialist do I turn to?
I've had low thyroid issues for over 20 years due to several old eating disorders which I don't have anymore but still have a low thyroid, I've been taking Levothyroxine but it's not helping, been talking it since 2002, I do have some of these symptoms with extreme sensitivity to cold and sometimes hot, rapid heart palpitations, which goes all the way to my throat and to my head with extreme pressure, my appetite hasn't been what it used to when I was a teenager, I'm now 40 and I always feel sick in the stomach.
Believe me you would feel a lot better off the medication it's poison that is why you are feeling sick
Thank you for the video.
Hyperthyroidism is curable and I cured Mine with herbal medication from dr Oyalo whom I met his recommendation here and reach out to get his herbs and it work for me.
I dont have many of these symptoms but was just diagnosed 😢
Very informative
Great video
I used to be really active and never tire .I never felt the cold . Now I burn with cold ,even the slightest drop in temp is almost unbearable. I hardly move all day I have an increase of 4 inch to my waist .I have been on thyroxine over 3 yrs .I feel unhealthy . my hair is still thick and long, my mind seems ok .i am depressed but managing it .It's truly awful ,i can hardly manage a 5 minute walk .
@Carlos Semit He suggested powdered rhino cock mixed with chicken blood .I couldn't believe it, it worked . I now run marathons and feel 20 yrs old, I thank you .
I think it's really important to educate ourselves on hyperthyroidism, what to do if you have it, and how to prevent it. contact dr.oyalo for natural cure on his channel. i got cured with his remedy. His herbal recommendation is the best
Amelyss, check Dr Berg's videos.
If you thyroid controls your hormones that's why you have issues try seaweed
@@ellanola6284 Berg isn't a MD so why should people check his videos when there are people on youtube that actually know what they are talking about?
I'm trying to wing off levotyroxide medications. Do you recommend any other supplements that helps for hypotheyroism? Please share
I would advice against that.Aftwr a while of not taking thyroxine things can go wrong. The thyroxine is a synthetic thyroid and creates the function your thyroid can't. This gland controls your metabolism and keeps you well. Speak to your Dr about your medication, you can't dothis on your own.
Do not go off your thyroid medication. It’s dangerous and you are likely to get very sick.
R9 struggled with this illnes, poor r9 😔
Thank you for all the information you have provided I was diagnosed with the sys.lupus at a very young age but could not get any information about it or information to treat it other than a big dose of antibiotics and steroids when I had a flare up.

Ahh I have this and fibromyalgia that's why I'm having a extra hard time
I always thought that neck goitre occurred only in cases of hyper-thyroidism !
My TSH seems to be muuuuch higher during the cold months and is usually within range in summer.
Does that happen for anyone else?
very helpful
Me the first few slides: yup, yup, yup, yea, yea, yes, okay, yup, sure…I can live with all this
Me the second half of the sides: 😦😯 yes, hello doctor? I’d like to come in please
Have you tried herbal medications it worked for me with no side effects
Can you still have hypothyroidism but your thyroid levels be “normal”? I have all of these symptoms except maybe like 1 or 2 and I’ve always been tested ever since I was little but because my levels are normal, I just get brushed off
