- Fishing for sea trout in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada. On this particular trip, we went trolling for sea trout in ocean tidal waters with an aluminium boat. We managed to hook six fish and they tasted great in the pan. For gear we used lucky strike spoons with worms.
Note: All of the fish caught in this video were not put to waste.

Was a great day out!!!
Are you fishing the Bras d'or lakes?
Nope coastal eastern shore
What a beauty of a day! Great video 👍🏻
Haha thanks!
hey good days fishing, i catch sea-trout off the shore in northern ireland, interesting your baited spoon method we just fish play lures and sometimes a dropper fly above the lure
Thanks for tuning in! What's it like to fish in Ireland? I've seen videos and it looks awesome!
@@Huntingpros im very fortunate that i live only 10 mins away for some great sea-trout fishing in saltwater or fresh, we get some very good fish, double figure fish are here but they are very hard to catch, ive some videos on my channel if you ever get 5 free minutes check them out
@@whitetroutchannel I subbed ;)

Awesome we does pretty much the same here on Newfoundland island, awesome fishing...
Nice fish. Tasted good too :).

Thanks!
Great video. Nice catch!
When is the best time/season to fish for sea trout? Thanks 🙏
In salt water the best time is late spring to mid summer ☺️. Thanks for watching!
Cool vid!
Thanks for watching 😀
Nice video
Thanks!
What part of Nova Scotia is This cause I’m try to get myself on some sea trout ?
Eastern Shore. Anywhere large brooks or rivers run into the salt there are sea run trout in the late spring/early summer.
What kind of worms do you guys use? Just regular nightworms or salt water worms? Depth of water? Cheers from newfoundland!
Just standard earth worms! We troll about 2-3ft deep and typically in less than 12ft of water. Thanks for watching 😀!
@@Huntingpros thank you! Trout in our area seem to be picky on worms, they're not huge nightworm fans 😁
Neat video man! Never seen that done before in the ocean.
Thanks Jim!
New subscriber here my friend, awesome video, keep them coming...
Thanks for watching 😁
@@Huntingpros your welcome very much..
What not launch would you use is that musqdobit bay or chez
What time of year do they run? Only heard of going for mackerel or flounder here would be nice to try for these here as the fresh water trout have been pretty much wiped out by chain pickerel.have you heard if they run up the west coast?
Not really sure on the west coast. Here there run from mid Spring until late July or early August!
Awwwwwwww shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Lolol nice fish 🤠
Sea trout? Never knew you could catch those. Is this one specific area or along the coast of NS?
Yeah man. Easy to catch in tidal waters when they are running. Eastern Shore NS.
@@Huntingpros hey man I live on eastern shore wondering how your doing for sea trout right now ?
@@Huntingpros what do you fine better in ocean trolling method or just stop and cast?
@@modernwarfareclips2463 For sea trout, I find trolling better because you can cover more ground and get to areas you can't access on foot.
@@Huntingpros thanks man I’m 16 I do a lot off shore in sheet harbour if you know where thas
Where is this? I would like to experience catching sea trout.
Eastern Shore NS

@@Huntingpros that’s awesome man cool channel! Dunno if you remember me but we went to school together! Maybe we could get out for a fish sometime!
I remember you bud! Haha that would be awesome!
What location is it
Eastern Nova Scotia
funny, are these sea run brown trout? the european and south american name and most widely known....Or are they sea run brook trout (only canadian east coasters call em this . Most people will think they're sea run browns unless from the coast),, brookies are actually a charr.....There's also sea run rainbows in p.e.i but like on the west coast. They should be called steelhead
They are sea run speckled trout. Thanks for watching!
There are sea run rainbow trout in Nova Scotia to
mini baby trout
Thanks for watching!
where in the hell is this at....lol
Eastern Shore Nova Scotia 😉
@@Huntingpros thanks, not much fish here, envious
Where at is this musq or chez
Neither!
How deep are you guys fishing the spinners ?
Just trolling through still waters and lakes. I'd say the deepest they go is about 3 feet.
Child molesters!
They are not old enough to spawn yet! Babies!
Are you really allowed to kill that small fish i NS?
The retention size is 6 inches. The average sized sea trout in Nova Scotia is 10 inches in length. Thanks for watching!
Lol this guy clearly hasn't fished sea trout in NS 😅.
@@shedhammer9700😁 I'm fine with people saying whatever they want on UA-cam. The fish kept were double the size limit. If people want to contest local laws and fight the Nova Scotia Governement and Canadian Federal Government on appropriate size limits, be my guest! Both levels of government spend millions of dollars researching wildlife management. All local laws were followed during this trip 🤠.
@@shedhammer9700
A good observation!
No, I have never fished anything in NS.
Minimum length is 50 cm/20 inches where I'm from.
Cheers!
