  • Gulfstream IV is a family of business jets developed by the Gulfstream Aerospace in the 1980s. The family is presented by the Gulfstream IV basic models and their subsequent generations Gulfstream IV SP, G300 and G400, as well as the G350 and G450. During the period from 1985 to 2018 more than 900 aircraft of the family were delivered, most of which continue to fly.

    Hello. I was a Gulfstream IV SP Pilot. Was ?? Unfortunately, life continues year by year and we can not stop it. But at least, i was allowed to sit in the cockpit of a plane until the age of 65.
    23560 hr flighttime is in my last flight look. Starting with the piper j3c ...... King Air 90 / 100, Lear Jet 24D / 35, DC 8/63, SE 210 Caravelle, MD 87 ( first glas cockpit ) and all models of the MD 80, Airbus 320 / 330, Cessna 560 Excel, and the Gulfstream G IV SP. I loved all the old planes, but on the Airbus it was already after 3 year's too boring for me.
    The G IV SP finally was again a plane ,that needet a real pilot.
    HB - IWZ, HB- IKR and 9M-ABC
    IT was the best time in my life.
    And now, i'm in pension, but not so happy. I miss to fly around the world.

    There's a little gathering in my county you might have heard of called Bohemian Grove. Our sheriff's department's reserve deputies got hired to keep watch over the private planes that flew in. Anywhere from 25 to 30 jets arrived on a Friday afternoon and left on Sunday afternoon. There was a sprinkling of Challengers and even one 727 but the overwhelming majority were GS II, III and IV. I got a long look at these during the weekend. Even the fuselage workmanship let you know you were looking at the best. I don't know how much money some owners spent of paint jobs, but they were stunning. There were also a few plain gray models but we were never told whose planes those were. Probably a good thing too. :-)

      @Mohammad AlEidi When you come into a conversation three months late you run the risk of losing some of the context. This Simth character deleted a bunch of posts that made him sound like a deranged conspiracy theorist. Of course I know what went on their, but more of was like a giant Boy Scout summer camp for guys that never had a childhood than most of the nefarious things you hear about.

      Your father was a load master in not mistaken, and stationed in MCBH at Kaneohe Bay, we went on the first long mission back in January 2002. Yes it is Grey Ghost ! This aircraft had full reconstruction after damages sustained during hurricane Andrew, the entire front section, composite rudder (G 450) and left wing also (G 450). I spent twelve years with four U.S. Navy and the Grey Ghost.

    1 for all: I liked all the Gulfstream airplanes beginning from the sixties, when I was a teenager, and dreamed about an opportunity to construct and to fly such wunderful machines. But this was in East Germany - and I'd never had a chance to fulfill the dream. In the 2000ers my neighbour was a young lady who flew the airplane as a business jet for Daimler-Benz. Times have changed - the fascination of flying didn't.

    You can keep your converted airliners as "private jets", in my opinion, if you've made it to fantastic wealth you have to own an aircraft from the famous Gulfstream manufacturer.
    Private owned airliners are cool, no doubt about that, they're big and have bedrooms and all sorts of other stuff but Gulfstream aircraft have a touch of class to them which a big white bus in the sky doesn't have.

    My message to big companies who come in and buy smaller companies and try to change an already successful business........... "Stay away, leave them alone, stop interfering and there's an old saying.... if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it".

    Hey Sky. These are some really well researched and made videos you put out. Iv been following your channel and videos for a while now. Just 1 small bit of advice, when you talk about range and Speed of the Aircrafts could you mention them in “Nautical Miles” and “Mach” since those are aviation relevant terms 😊🤟🏻 keep up the good work. Cheers 🥂

    • @Eternal_Tech
      @Eternal_Tech 5 років тому +1

      While "nautical miles" and "mach" are the relevant aviation terms, many people watching these videos may not be aviation experts. The general public is more likely to be familiar with kilometers, miles, kilometers per hour, and miles per hour than aviation-specific terms for distance and speed.

But as many aviation nerds like me are also watching this videos it would also be nice to have e.g. speeds also in MACH to better compare differend aircraft as the specs are always discribing the speed in MACH or TAS ! But never the less keep up this amazing work :) PS: If you make videos about the Global 6000 or 7500 and you need infos - let me know!
