I relate with this song so much. I lived this for over 20 years trying to have a relationship with my kids through visitations. So many times traveling to get my kids only to have their mom either hide the kids from me, flat out refuse or drum up some false charge against me, issue protection orders on a lie because she knew it would take the system longer than what my summer visitation would be before having a hearing. It finally got better after a prosecutor told her after the 3rd false allegation that the state dropped due to lack of evidence or witness statements not matching, that if she filed another false charge against me, she would be prosecuted for it. It wasn't a matter if I won or not, because my children were the real losers in this situation . I chose the high road and never talked poorly about their mom regardless of how much pain she was causing me. Sadly, she did not. Not a day goes by that I wish they understood what was going on and how hard I fought to do the right thing, be present in their life, be the father they deserved, and have that relationship with them. Unfortunately I don't really have much of a relationship with my kids now that they are adults with their own kids.
If you ever get the chance to, see them live......it's amazing!! The amount of passion each one of the band members play with is emotional. Ryan, the violinist, keys.....basically any instrument put in front of him, is my favorite to watch.
I've seen them 2 times Live. And both times they were the best live shows I've ever been to. Justin has an amazing voice live! You really need to react to "Stay " Feel Again live version. It is a very powerful song and performance.
The great thing is in 2018 Justin finally got custody of his daughter blue. You gotta check out Fight for Love acoustic. Blue sings it with Justin. Loved the reaction
Not a father, but having had my own set of struggles, I've always loved this song and been able to relate to it. "Don't be concerned, it's just the power of a breaking heart." Two Blue October recommendations (official videos, please). "Bleed Out", written by the lead singer TO the lead singer, from the perspective of his wife at the time (his second marriage, not the one from this song). The other song is "Moving On (So Long)". The song lyrics are relationship oriented, but the video... you can see how happy the lead singer is for the people in the video. It's happier and more uplifting than you'd expect.
Jim from Maine again. Your channel has helped this 70 year old get thru a heart attack and now Covid! Much better now . Long retired musician. If you Get a chance react to Springsteen Jungleland New York live from the early 2000s . Best live band ever. Been to 20 or so shows. Even last year when he was in his 70s . First time was in 1975. Pink Floyd, Springsteen , Queen all greatest live bands ever. Listening to studio version with those bands are wrong haha have a good day and thank you!
Found your channel yesterday and I am addicted. Loving the blues guitarist videos. Look into Jeff Healey a blind blues guitarist. Also please check out Larkin Poe. Sisters killing blues. One uses a standing lap steel that will blow your mind. Again, loving your channel.
My sons wife him and went back to her mothers. And he was a broke man. His son was 7 months old, and he had never slep 1 night without his son curled up in his arms Then my second husband was working 3 jobs. But between 1 & 2 job he got to go home and his 2 little girl would run laughing had he would throw them in the air , swing them around. Then he was going home one day, met them at the 4 way stop, he just thought they were going to the store. Then 2 days later they are 3 states away. My husband cant stay in an empty house now. And he say the lonest place is an empty having to stay in a motel room alone.
Hey the live dire straits is not as good as the original, Dire Straits Live at Wembley 1985, has the original drummer, a better Key board guy, and as a bonus, a sax guy that is a brother to one of the a c DC rock band this version is way better Cheers Carl
If you think this hits, wait until you hear him sing The Feel Again/Stay (live from Texas version)
Godown thus rabbit hole bro! They are criminally underrated. Justin conveys emotion in his lyrics like no other.
💙💙💙💙💙 best band period! They’re even more amazing live in person! 🥹

First time I've heard of Blue October. WOW. Powerful lyrics - try to shield the children from the horrors of divorce.
Sebs, I can't find the link for a suggestion and I wanted you to hear The Voice, Brad Delp of the group, Boston. The song is: More Than a Feeling
