I was ready to buy several, but the biggest disappointment/turnoff was Swatch promised to make the MoonSwatch available online then reneged 6 weeks later. I no longer care to own it if Swatch has such low regard for its customers. I enjoy wearing my Omegas.
I think the miscommunication or back tracking about the online release was the worst thing. At first Swatch representatives said the watches would be released online. Months later the CEO said they wouldn't be.
I think it is more about the supply issue.. i dont think even the swatch group expected to see this big hype and demand. They r still in high demand as of today all over the world.
Marketing genius 101. Love it or hate it, it was a huge success for the Swatch Group.
I own Seamaster and now I have Sun and Mercury Moonswatches, I absolutely love all three of them.
Great fun watches especially for summer.
It's brilliant. I'll be picking up at least 3. No rush as it's not a limited run. They look fun.
Only time will tell if this works out for them or not. What the watch investment shenanigans over the past few years has taught me is that demand for hyped watch is irrational and unpreductable.
In terms of luxury and excellence in watch series, Omega watches definitely stand out, for me. This partnership, in my opinion, will help us understand emerging trends.
Ceramic plastic...also known as unobtanium. Poor marketing. Sold only at flagship boutiques and not all Swatch shops, shame on you.
Just sell it on-line via your website.
U.K. has 2, Scotland and London, I live in Manchester. Guess I will get my Rolex before one of these.
The Collab idea is good and was fine. But the launch was horrid
Design and luxury attraction of Omega is always notable in watch industries.. This collab will be make a possible marketing strategy..
I like Omega watches. The collaboration’s launch is reminiscent of those involving streetwear and high-end fashion houses
So it appears omega and the other luxury brands is introduced to future buyers, and swatch has the new product
to introduce. They each may benefit, certainly st. Expand the audience is #1, and inject new thoughts into the mind
of the consumers. But the artificial supply and demand, and the resulting price hikes. And the making of opportunity
for those knock out low price product, to the respective bottom lines.
This shouldn't be a big deal. This is the same as the Seiko-Patek
epic fail .. wrong .. this watch is still going strong for those who really want.
I think most people are confusing this watch as a cheap omega watch, when in fact it’s just a really expensive swatch. Not only does this diminish the omega name but it hurts swatch putting one of their watches financially out of reach of most people these days.
There's that $500 American Documents Timex which ain't so great...
