Slippers were invented in Japan when westerners were first allowed in Japan once the isolation period was being lifted. Westerners were keeping their shoes on inside and potentially destroying tatami floors which are expensive and were difficult to make back then. Tatami are easily destroyed and can get infested with bugs or rot if allowed to get wet which are likely to happen if you walk over it with shoes on. The slipper reference probably alludes to this point in history.
You could probably do another whole video like this from the concept art sheets that were revealed in the Japanese guidebook earlier this week. Suutamie has already translated them, and they include so, so many interesting details that weren't mentioned in the game itself!
I always feel that Cogita is displaced. Even though she is a descendant (seems to be the only one) of the original Hisuian people, her clothing and her accom seems a bit different from the rest of Hisui.
Her outfit appears Victorian, for sure. Certainly the right time frame. The word cogita is European in origin, appearing in the French, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, and Spanish languages as a verb. (Portuguese and Spanish...) The word means similar things revolving around thought (cognition). Some past tense, some present, some affirmative, and so on. Cogita seems to be a bigger enigma than Cynthia, who we honestly know little about outside her studying Sinnoh's myths, loving Pokemon, and being the Champion of Sinnoh. Also the first of... 2 female Champions? Wait, what? We've had more female Professors than Champions? I'm suddenly very salty... True, it's only by one (Juniper, Magnolia, and Sonia), but that makes it even worse, if you think about it.
The two games were developed, at least partially, side by side. I would not be surprised if there are a number of foreshadowings of Scarlet/Violet in Legends: Arceus.
Take this with a grain of salt as it probably comes from a fake leak. However, I've read that Scarlet/Violet actually begun development as far back as 2008 and that it is supposed to incorporate several ideas that were scrapped in the development of older games.
I just notice the no title of "trainer" in the game so suspecting the "wielders" is how people call them how train pokemon This make some hope for volo
Something I've noticed, and seem to be the only person who talks about it: Vulpix and Alolan-Vulpix both have different types of berries that they like. Something to keep in mind is that you're only ever gifted, one, Alolan-Vulpix in game. You can't find it anywhere in the wild - which makes me wonder if that's something they considered doing at one point in time but ultimately scrapped the idea. And this is just a remnant of that. And something else to keep in mind is: You can't feed your Pokémon once they're captured, which makes me also wonder if you were able to feed them after as well?
here is something people did not notice. Well unless you look deep into one of the things that really inspired legends arceus. As you know the update for the game is called daybreak which is a nice name however it is funny that it is very similar to the name sunbreak which is the upcoming paid dlc for monster hunter rise. It is noted that according to the creators of legends arceus the game was not one to be open world but more similar to that of the monster hunter series most notably the monster hunter stories which is much more like pokemon than the monster hunter rise game which is you hunting and killing the monsters. I say this as legends arceus has way more in common with monster hunter rise and stories than botw from the crafting system and many other mechanics. Not that botw did not inspire some aspects as well just that to many people look to botw for such things when there are other notable games that could also be used for inspiration.
My only trouble with it it's that i need savedata of other games to catch shaymin and Darkrai (At least isn't a bad dlc plus don't need to play that long the game
I don't remember if you already covered this, but I found a cool detail. All around Hisui, you can see what is essentially the Pokémon world's take on Japanese writing. The only place that doesn't feature this is Laventon's room, where all of his writing is the same written language seen in Galar.
If slippers were a reference to Gen9 i don't know what it could be about, although in Spain they are pretty popular, your typical spanish grandma always wears them I'm wearing some right now lol
The artwork of a young adaman might be because the anime uses the game artwork a lot sometimes the concept art for the game will show something that doesn’t appear in the game at all but then it will be used for the anime and since they announced they were making a special series based on the arceus game it’s possible that the show will show a young adaman in a flashback scene
The kanji 子 (child) appears after their names in the concept art, indicating that they specifically named them child versions, so I’m sure flashbacks were originally intended.
Gen 9 region is Spain-based, so if the slippers are a nod to that, they could be espadrilles? Espadrilles are a kind of woven slipper invented in Spain, and honestly, the shape is pretty much exactly like the ones they have in Legends. The wiki page for Espadrilles has a good pic of what they look like.
What if the slippers belong to the player character? The room found from data mining implies the player was plucked from their room by Arceus while sleeping, if the official opening is anything to go by. They were likely beside his/her bed and fell through. Side note: Sonic the Hedgehog could also have lost them.
Is the fact that Cyllene is from Hoenn that big of a deal? Like we know that the heads of the Diamond and Pearl clans are ancestors of Archie and Maxie who are from Hoenn. We also know that most in the village are not from Hisui either. So there’s obviously a substantial connection between the two regions.
The unusual shoes and appliance vocabulary theory is genius. Gamefreak has always been sneaky with foreshadowing new games (most common i.e. paintings in previous games) and I do not doubt that they are hinting at new games. The biggest from PLA , Alder's protrait in both diamond AND pearl clans. This imo is a HUGE hint
Also, one of the misfortune sisters (charm) states she's from Kanto so maybe get a new legends game in the far future. I wouldn't mind legends style for all regions - this, imo, is one of the best, if not, the best pokemon game created.
the slippers are a red/violet color so yeah it might just be like hey since its the day we announced the new game here are commemorative shoes OMG what if in another update they introduce premeire balls to commerate US granting the world a new relationship that fucking changed their entire world it was a gift to this world hence we are given one each time we buy a ten pack
So far I'm enjoying it a little bit. Wasn't really into it at first. One of the things I like about the game is that I can evolve a Pokemon quickly without having to worry about having to learn moves late. The levels of when they learn moves stays the same!
Considering the fact that Unova has been the Pokémon community's punching bag since day one (and still is to this very day), I'm surprised GameFreak references it at as much as they do. I love these games, but let's be real, you'll be luck to find 10 other people who like it.
I just notice the no title of "trainer" in the game so suspecting the "wielders" is how people call them how train pokemon This make some hope for volo
The concept art for young Adaman could imply that the player character was supposed to be sent even further back in time at some part in the story , but the idea was scrapped
It somehow amuses me a lot that so far, there are only 2 people confirmed to be the ancestors of current day characters but we are all just taking it as fact that every single other character is an ancestor of their lookalike XD

@Joseph C. I agree. Although at the time of contact westerners would've had mostly stone flooring and no central heating so shoes made sense inside.
@Joseph C. Yeah! That is so disgusting! You walk around in dirt and mud all day and then you just walk inside like that?
I go barefoot outside, but always wear shoes and socks inside and to bed
I honestly doubt this because it wasnt base game content. This is a weird reference to just throw in without an other context in a dlc
Maybe, just maybe, the slippers are from gen 9, and we could maybe see a side character say something like “where in the world could my slippers be!?”
Agreed, and if we bought them in legends and have the game data on the same switch as Scarlet or Violet maybe an unlock-able side quest
@@thekidj458 sounds like a cool feature!
I would love something like this personally!
The craziest thing is that there are probably way more hidden in the game than this and we haven't even discovered them yet
You could probably do another whole video like this from the concept art sheets that were revealed in the Japanese guidebook earlier this week. Suutamie has already translated them, and they include so, so many interesting details that weren't mentioned in the game itself!

Maybe your parent in pokemon Scarlet and Violet asks "Where are my slippers" and this is where they are xD
The name change with the "Unusual Shoes" doesn't seem like an odd thing since the Rotom items also change their names once you buy them.
ALL of Ginter's things have name changes...
That’s the point 🤣
I still think the coolest (and funniest) thing they could do is show Red's ancestor, which would simply be Red with a bad mustache

This game is probably filled with more
I got a theory that could be true. In detective pikachu the giant Torterra could be a hint to gigantmax in gen 8
Possible.
It was a few months before Sword and Shield and that's why I said could be
Or size differences in GO/Let's Go! games.
The movie shown the Macro Cosmos symbol
I do wonder if the founders of the 2 clans are actually RSE Maxie and Archie that’s sent to the far past.
Maybe in scarlet and violet if you talk to a certain npc they will say their slippers are missing
I would love it if they did this lol
“Young adaman” could just be his little brother. That would explain why you see them next to each other and you see him with mei
Maybe the unusual shoes is a hint that the running shoes from gen 2 is back? they also look a lot like Sonic's shoes, and he is... yknow... fast! :D
*Lillie soon wear unusual shoe then become slippers* I know what they are.
Maybe the slippers belonged to the player character prior to them getting sent back in time?
My theory is that the slippers as well as the rotom appliances came from the rifts and were picked up/retrieved by the Gingko Guild.

What off they were the slippers off the main character in scarlet and violet. We start the game and wake up to our slippers mysteriously missing
Wow didn't know that Cylene and Cyrus ancestors are from the Hoenn Region, yeah those red shoes seem kinda interesting though
Cyrus’ descendants being from Hoenn of all places is probably the biggest suprise of them all. Now I want Cyrus to use Dusclops or Aggron.

It makes sense they'd add the chancla in preperation for pokespain
Omg the shoes thing 😯
The slippers look like Sonic's shoes 😆
What if our mom wears those slippers in the gen 9 games I know it wouldn’t be a big detail but I’d love to see it

There was a purple book in her book case, maybe there’s a scarlet or orange one somewhere else in the game?
Doesn't Dawn's mom wear those slippers in the anime?
I don't know; I'm probably remembering wrong.
Flint and flannery related
It’s so obvious we Should have connected that sooner we are so dumb lol
I misread that sentence scratch what I said above
Noti gang
the lady in jubilife village that sells the clothes kind of looks like Jessie from team rocket when she has her hair in a bun
I still can't catch a single force of nature. Weeks after starting the quest.
What about the British tea set?
I think the slippers are supposed to be your moms slippers as they are in her artwork
Amazing 1st
I feel like this was confirmed at some point but i’m pretty sure adaman and mai are siblings
They are apparently adopted siblings. There's a little girl in the Diamond settlement who says it
Cogita is bae
like your channel but your talking volume is weird. you get really loud and quiet in the same sentence like 10 times.
