I wasn't aware anyone had stolen from us Susan. The van was in such a mess, Pats purse could have been anywhere. We just don't know how our lives will pan out in the future, whether we get another van, or just keep finding deals and doing it that way Susan. Tracey doesn't mind what we do as long as we are happy.
It’s so hard to watch you go through the stress of seeing your home. I can see how hard it affects you both. Give yourselves credit for having the strength to even go to it this soon. Nearly seven weeks ago I was in a collision with an elderly lady who had a 'medical incident'....she passed away later that day. Her insurance admitted liability almost straight away.Then came a battle with 'the faceless ones' over internet/phone....insurance still not quite sorted yet.
Truly God sent angels to protect you. I am sorry for your loss and thankful you are well. When you are ready, the road awaits to show you more of this amazing world. God bless you both and go easy. You have been thru a lot.

We are a strange couple, Pat & I, we don't know what people know, we are oblivious of even our own bodies, we plunge ahead without a care, only to discover we are not that prepared after all. Too much too soon. Everyone knows except Pat and I. Well we know now, will it make us rest and take it easy? Maybe.

Looking at the photos of the van and seeing you both walking and talking makes me believe in miracles once more. I had a miracle too. I was 32 and a mother of four. I worked 3-11PM as a nurse. I was driving home and a drunk driver sped through a red light. I saw him for just enough time to slam on my brakes. I hit him and the front of my station wagon looked like your van. The force of the collision knocked down a power line. I was in shock too. But I remember that it was as if an angel had its arms around me and held me tightly against the seat. This was before seat belts! In 1971. I remember getting out of the car and walking across the power line in the street to the horror of the people who had rushed out of their homes when they heard the crash. My only injury was a scrape on my knee from the keys in the ignition and sore arms from my tight grip on the steering wheel. I am 85 this year. I now have 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. I thank God each morning for the gift of another day. I thank you both for reminding me of miracles❤Sylvia

Yesterday the road ahead seemed so clear and obvious. Today I lay here 🤔 wondering, is it worth it? Do I want to re equip another motorhome and join the increasing number who do.

You survived....be careful to give yourselves the 'extra special care' you need/deserve to mend, both emotionally and physically. this kind of trauma can have a few invisible effects on us, that we don't realize until a bit later....but you guys are ahead of the game with your upbeat take on life and your positivity. So sorry this has happened to you. It would be bad enough If it was just a holiday van but devastating when it’s your home. Start making a list of all the belongings you didn’t manage to retrieve or that is damaged so that you can claim for them. Glad you weren’t badly hurt-amazing really..

Don't stress about your bits and pieces.... the insurance will cover everything. It might be beneficial for you to start listing absolutely every item you had and get prices for buying new.

Today I don't feel as though I have survived the smash. I feel like it's not me who is here. Pat was badly effected by that visit to the van, it made her ill. I am now struggling to find my mojo, it all seems so crazy.

I don't know Yvonne, it was all a blur to me. It was a van he was travelling in, only a week old, it too is written off, and I have no idea how he escaped.
My goodness, as soon as the video began could tell straightaway been a hard day for you both and Tracey, then when you should the state of the van, I went in to shock myself even burst into tears actually had to pause the video make myself a cuppa calm myself, I’m ok now, seeing the carnage, that was a heck of a impact to cause all that damage, it’s a pure miracle how you both got out of that with just the injuries you sustained just incredible really, well also the driver of the car that hit you, how Pat said what walked up to the van when it happened, like others have already commented you must have Guardian angels looking out for you, I’m just glad after seeing this video you are both ok from the tragic day, thing is you are both still recovering, today must of been so difficult it’s going to take awhile to heal from this, but wow that little gift you received was so lovely, loved it, sending you lots of love and hugs, wishing you all the best going forward getting everything sorted and looking forward to your future plans ❤😊xx

It was a shocking experience Dinah, Pat became ill in the afternoon, but she is better now, so don't worry. We will get through it, and you are right, it is going to take time.
It’s gut wrenching to see ones van after a accident. We only seen pictures of ours because of our lengthy hospital stay. I can’t imagine how hard and shocking for all of you seeing the wreckage which was your home. Take care.
Pat was effected by it, she was not well yesterday afternoon. I only wanted my washbag and charging cable for my watch that Pat bought me, I would have left it all and walked away, but Tracey was determined to do otherwise. I look at the stuff, and try to think what is needed to carry on, and I am just numb.

It has effected Pat quite bad, she is not well at the moment, it is the shock, and to realise how near we came to being killed or mamed. It is a miracle we walked away from it.

I was with a friend in a house fire that looked as bad with people chucking stuff all over the place and loads of stuff went missing too😡. Dear Paul, please don't do that, it wasn't the purse but the contents that we wanted. It was heartbreaking to see, but as you say, we are alive, and that is the main thing.
The inside construction of these motorhomes is weak. All the framing gave way on impact, throwing stuff forward into the cab. There really ought to be a passenger protection frame to keep all pasengers safe from things flying forward on collision impact.
The higher seat position and general bulk of the van saved you from serious injury. Had you been in a small car you would have been in a much worse state. Probably dead.
She was hit hard both were lucky.. I bet the wreck is sold off in many parts so insurance can recover as much as possible. Lucky that gas bottle didn't hit you both
I couldn't care less Karl. The gas bottle remained in its cupboard during the smash, it was the firebrigade who took it out. The fridge on the other hand was a different story.

Yesterday the road ahead seemed so clear and obvious. Today I lay here 🤔 wondering, is it worth it? Do I want to re equip another motorhome and join the increasing number who do.
You two are °a gift to the world° still. You survived....be careful to give yourselves the 'extra special care' you need/deserve to mend, both emotionally and physically. this kind of trauma can have a few invisible effects on us, that we don't realize until a bit later....but you guys are ahead of the game with your upbeat take on life and your positivity. So sorry this has happened to you. It would be bad enough If it was just a holiday van but devastating when it’s your home. Start making a list of all the belongings you didn’t manage to retrieve or that is damaged so that you can claim for them. Glad you weren’t badly hurt-amazing really..

Don't stress about your bits and pieces.... the insurance will cover everything. It might be beneficial for you to start listing absolutely every item you had and get prices for buying new.

I don't know Yvonne, it was all a blur to me. It was a van he was travelling in, only a week old, it too is written off, and I have no idea how he escaped.

Today was a wall we had to climb, and it knackered both of us.
My goodness, as soon as the video began could tell straightaway been a hard day for you both and Tracey, then when you should the state of the van, I went in to shock myself even burst into tears actually had to pause the video make myself a cuppa calm myself, I’m ok now, seeing the carnage, that was a heck of a impact to cause all that damage, it’s a pure miracle how you both got out of that with just the injuries you sustained just incredible really, well also the driver of the car that hit you, how Pat said what walked up to the van when it happened, like others have already commented you must have Guardian angels looking out for you, I’m just glad after seeing this video you are both ok from the tragic day, thing is you are both still recovering, today must of been so difficult it’s going to take awhile to heal from this, but wow that little gift you received was so lovely, loved it, sending you lots of love and hugs, wishing you all the best going forward getting everything sorted and looking forward to your future plans ❤😊xx
The shock has effected Pat, and she had a funny turn this afternoon. Everything is on hold now until I am sure Pat is ok.

Very upsetting seeing your van in that state, that was even worse than I imagined it would be. How you both got out so unscathed is amazing. At least you've managed to get some stuff out, but what carnage. Tracey is such a help, she just rolls up her sleeves and cracks on. It is very sad and traumatic Trevor, but you are all OK and you have a wonderful family.

Ay Nicola, a dam great fridge freezer flying out of it's housing, cups saucers, coleslaw, you name it. Pats purse could have fallen out of the van. I am a bit stiff, Pat was at first, but nothing when you consider. We are very lucky,

It’s gut wrenching to see ones van after a accident. We only seen pictures of ours because of our lengthy hospital stay. I can’t imagine how hard and shocking for all of you seeing the wreckage which was your home. Take care.
Pat was effected by it, she was not well yesterday afternoon. I only wanted my washbag and charging cable for my watch that Pat bought me, I would have left it all and walked away, but Tracey was determined to do otherwise.
I look at the stuff, and try to think what is needed to carry on, and I am just numb.

I was with a friend in a house fire that looked as bad with people chucking stuff all over the place and loads of stuff went missing too😡. Getting another van, we sold our home in 2016, this is our daughters house.
The inside construction of these motorhomes is weak. All the framing gave way on impact, throwing stuff forward into the cab. There really ought to be a passenger protection frame to keep all pasengers safe from things flying forward on collision impact.

The higher seat position and general bulk of the van saved you from serious injury. Had you been in a small car you would have been in a much worse state. Probably dead.

She was hit hard both were lucky.. I bet the wreck is sold off in many parts so insurance can recover as much as possible. Lucky that gas bottle didn't hit you both
I couldn't care less Karl. The gas bottle remained in its cupboard during the smash, it was the firebrigade who took it out. The fridge on the other hand was a different story.

The side of the fridge housing was torn away, so no matter how many screws there are wouldn't have made any difference.
They are not built for a crash, no protection whatsoever.
