I didn't know until a saw a documentary that mid 20th century urban British housing often had detached outdoor communal restrooms that several flats would use. Imagine waiting in line to use the restroom in winter. The row houses look like what one of my British former university professors grew up in in Digby, Lincolnshire in the 1950s-1960s. Just looking at how squeezed in everything is makes me feel claustrophobic. But at the same time being so close to major urban areas, the charming English countryside, and so many historic places would be nice for an American like me who has never been to Britain.

Honestly to me its shocking it still exists. For me none of the buildings from my childhood exists anymore... And I am younger than him lol. The closest to being very much like my childhood home is a remodeled place that still belongs to family members in Japan. Since the original place got wiped out but considering it survived several things before that should have said about how it was built before that.. ( Its went through several fires and floods. It was finally taken out when Japan was hit by the tsunami that was called Dragon. ) Its technically the same place but none of the original stuff is there. One of the few places I used to live that has not went from being a house to some other thing basically. So that is why I said technically its the same place but the truth is it really is not. But the owners of said land has remained in my family for generations. One of several that my family flat out refuses to let go of no matter what and Its something I am a bit proud of. Especially considering the stuff that was faced to do it.
Wonder if Ozzy's old childhood home is the same now considering its been several years since this video was recorded.

The UK relies A LOT on old houses. Housing is very very expensive. The lack of new affordable housing have been an issue for decades.
ozzy's old home is still intact, with a few newer upgrades like double glazed windows a different front door and a new roof recently, otherwise it's the same old home. my friend lives there in Lodge rd Aston. i still work nearby and drive past regularly.🙂
