- In this video we're making plans and getting to work preparing for Christmas while trying to keep our focus on giving to others. It covers about 2 weeks of preparations. We're still homeschooling during this time though it's not shown in the video. Our next video will be of my shopping day with all 8 kids followed by another video counting down the final days until Christmas.

I decided to re-watch Andrea's Christmas videos. They bring me comfort even though I only know Andrea through UA-cam she touched my life and I truly miss her. I love hearing her soft voice but also how organized she was and how well thought out her Christmas plans were. I also enjoy seeing the children. She was always so patient and kind with her family and everyone. She was taken too soon from her family and all of us that watched her channel. ❤❤
Exactly how I feel and doing the same as you 1 year later. What a wonderful legacy she made for herself.
I just found this channel and saw the sad news, heart breaking. She was a great mother and wife. The children will be good and strong from her love and their father's.
It's so sweet how each child gets to pick what they want for the Christmas festivities. I don't know how she was always so calm with the kids hanging off the walls and standing on the chairs LOL.

I love how both sides of the family have so much to do with each other, like Andrea's sister bringing Tom's mom a present. I love that. A lot of my inlaws are like that. I'm close with and know all of my sister in laws family, same way with my sister's first husbands family. We all blended so nicely. You just don't see that much these days.

Thank you; he's actually only 4 1/2, but he really seemed ready to start school so we began Kindergarten this year.
That's even more impressive than most 4 yr olds have trouble with just one direction maybe 2

I don't have any children and, while I certainly love and enjoy my husband and extended family, it's really nice to feel like a part of something bigger than my quiet house and remote, relatively isolated location. Rewatching the Christmas videos, Andrea was such a beautiful person so calm and loving with her family, taken way too soon.
I'm so impressed by how you manage to rear so many good kids, but seeing you manage that on top of such a busy season is really something else! Also, Monday Magic made me laugh, hopefully my kids will want to do things like that when they're older.

This may be helpful when shipping packages. In lieu of foam popcorn and air filled plastic I use washed, empty soft drink and water bottles. Fills space, lightweight and repurposing.

I SO wish God would've blessed us with more children!! We have 3. I had a difficult time carrying each one. Almost lost them. But I was blessed with 1 boy who is 30, 2 girls, 1 is 21, and my baby is 18. We also have 2 grandchildren so far. My 21 year old is engaged, so we should have more in the future. I don't have a large family. We are a family of 5. I also work full time. So my mind is in a million directions. My question for you, how are you always so prepared? I always find myself running to walmart for this this this at last minute. I personallt would like life to slow down and myself be more focused and prepared for holidays, baking, cooking, birthdays. I feel like me being not prepared takes alot of thr enjoyment away. Any tips and tricks you can share. I really enjoy your videos, thank you for sharing your life with us.

As soon as I saw you guys were watching Nightmare before Christmas i stopped everything I was doing and watched it!! by far my favorite movie!! I was in 4th grade when I first saw it and i will be 21 on the 10th so it's amazing to see that it is still a popular movie with the kiddos!!!

Yes, she was actually in this video. (Tom was married briefly right out of high school. His wife left him and it was quite traumatic. When his parents decided to leave California and come to Wyoming he felt like he wanted a new start and came with them. That's when we met. Tom's aunt and uncle raised his daughter, Mileena, and she and Aunt Suzie spent the night with us while they were visiting from California.) When we were cutting out snowflakes she was on the couch. (She didn't feel like making snowflakes.) That sections starts at 57:33.

Hmmm did I hear Asher say "stupid baby" as he walked by Claudia? Do you ignore that? I have kids that sometimes say hurtful things and I think for them it's more about the reaction then trying to hurt Feelings. What is your opinion on how a believer and mom should handle this? Asher seems to typically be a huge help with your littles, so I'm sure if he said what I thought I heard he didn't mean it. Thanks for your channel, I enjoy it!😊
Yes, Asher has a "grumpy old man" sense of humor. Clearly, he loves Claudia and everyone else. I don't make a big deal out of it unless someone doesn't realize he's playing. Then I have him apologize and I remind whoever got their feelings hurt that Asher's just trying to be funny. (It's good for Asher to learn to be sensitive to when someone isn't in the mood for jokes and it's good for the other kids to get used to not getting upset when someone says something they don't like.) Really, though, if Asher hurts someone's feelings, he feels bad and makes it right on his own most of the time. He very much shares my late grandpas sense of humor. I don't mind him being him.

I feel like we the viewers don't see enough of tom. Like we see him but we don't.
Yes, he spends his days out on appointments taking care of customers so he misses out on a lot of the day to day activities. He stays home in his office on Wednesdays, which allows me to go out to the library, shopping, etc. but then he's not with me again. We don't get much video of our evenings which is when he's with us.
