I really like that they didn't go the monochromatic route. I like that they did super cute, curated 9 pan colour stories.
Yes, that was smart, since they already have monochromatic palettes, the brunch palettes that are pretty single hued and the birth stone palettes that are built around a star colour. I love all those concepts, but a new collection has to bring something new and this does!

One of the things that I love about your channel is that when you review an eyeshadow palette, you use most if not all of the colors in your look, and you swatch them all! I am not a fan of UA-camrs who say they’re testing out a palette, but then They only use two or maybe three colors out of the nine or 12 in the pallet.
This was a nice way to do a Collection Review. I liked the insert of how you created the look while you were talking 👄

Bit the bullet and ordered some of the “spicier” named ones. Glad this is their regular good quality eyeshadows. Hopefully no one asks me what eyeshadow palette I used though.. 😂

Your eye look in this video is stunning! The color story of “do not disturb” is incredibly unique and beautiful. Happy to see them do beautiful color stories versus just monochromatics like Colourpop.
I just bought the do not disturb pallet! It's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I got the blueberry muffin pallet and the bubblegum pallet too, on your recomendation. I'm so excited! They need to collab with you or something!
The Sweet Shoppe palettes are probably my 3rd favourite from 2020(?). They're still in my regular rotation. The mattes in them are some of my absolute favourites, in my whole collection. I have 0 regrets, buying almost the whole collection. 😅 And the Bubblegum palette for a friend, too. They're so much fun!
@@Acidfunkish I've heard they're awesome but it's nice to hear again from another person! I can't wait, I love my blue eye shadows. BH is coming for colourpop's necks in my opinion!
@@stickshiftsteph9968 If their other products were just as good, they'd be there, already. 😩 Colourpop has a really great selection of CURATED groups of products, and the choices are very well organised.
Like, they have one liquid foundation, one stick foundation, and one tinted moisturiser. One primer and set duo. Good brow products that actually make sense. One cream blush formula, and a couple powder blush types. You can very easily find what you want, based solely on the descriptions. And you could basically do your whole makeup routine with JUST Colourpop, if you had the inclination.
BH still needs to catch up on the other products. They're a mix of REALLY old, not well-liked formulations, and newer decent formulas, but you can't tell that just by browsing products. They release new products, but the colour options are completely different, so you don't know if an old match will still work in the new product.
Their powder products are mostly fantastic. I've loved all of the Truffle blushes and highlighter palettes I've tried, as well as all of their newer eyeshadow palettes (the old ones are NOT good, eg: Romantic Nomad, Digital Future, etc). But they basically need to start over on their other products. Just completely redo them, and quit releasing new, sometimes temporary products alongside their old ones, with no way for consumers to compare them, to figure out which would be a better match. Release different brow products that ALL come in the same shades, for example.
Their other, older stuff is still too messy, IMO. They really need to overhaul, remove all of the subpar products for sale, and replace them with curated collections that aren't a complete pain to compare and choose. 😩
I've pretty much stopped buying eyeshadow from Colourpop, though. They just release too much that's too similar, and it stinks of FOMO-baiting and the glorification of wasteful consumerism. They need to stop. Maybe ONLY do collabs with creative influencers, because they can't be trusted to do anything creative, themselves.

The packaging feels like they are really trying too hard to be hip but if the quality is great, I really don't care how tacky the outside is. Glad these palette are that usual good BH quality! Loved all your looks ❤
Exactly my feeling on it. If the quality is good, the colour stories inspire, and the price isn't stupid, I'm here for it!

Hey Angie, I would really recommend you the bh cosmetics 1991 palette with Alycia Marie. The top row is only duochromes and the bottom row is rather grungy mattes. The quality is really great...

Lol, everyone else can pack up and go home. I've really enjoyed seeing you review BH lately and I'm really happy they stepped it up this last year. I'm glad they seem to be bringing quality to the table across the board with their palettes and it's not one of those things like with Too Faced where you can only count on them to bring their best in certain packaging.
BH may not be bringing Indie quality with their shimmers, but I am happy that they are good enough I can pick them up on a brush. I've recently grown out may nails and I can now see why that is such an important issue for people. There are some high end brands that I can't do that with. I can't even do that with all Sigma shimmers and I've been loving their mattes so much that I'm willing to work with them and use a glitter glue without much complaint when using their palettes.
I really like "Do Not Disturb"; that would be the only one I would go for, honestly.

Have to agree with your choice for number 1. Great edit of a color story, nothing was repeated or unnecessary & it had a full range of depth to achieve drama & give you more options/versatility. Definitely the best stand alone palette 👍 Kind of wish the blue shimmers had more ooooomph pow pizazz but adding in a duochrome or special shade from an Indie Brand could easily pump the look up if desired.
I brought all of these when they launched 😂😂😂😂😂 LoL. No shame in my BH Cosmetics palettes game 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great video Angelica. 😎

I definitely don't NEED anymore eyeshadow palettes, but I think these are ace. No one else sees my palettes while I'm putting on makeup, so no one will get their frilly knickers bunched up by the names - I don't care that there are "bad words" on them at all. I think the colour stories are beautiful, and really dig the minimalist packaging. I appreciate some beautiful artwork on palettes, but for I don't mind a plain jane series in my collection at all. I'd much rather have plain white with black text than those infantile "I am an adorable cupcake" palettes. Lol! ANYWAY, what matters is what's inside, and these shadows look lovely.

This video was SO helpful, please do more like this! There were palettes in this collection I was initially drawn to (blue/berry and green/brown)... but now that I've seen this I'm drawn to completely different ones (mainly the pink/black one and the red/peach!).

When I was like 13/15 CoverGirl made this duo with a pink and blue both were shimmers and I loved that tiny little duo I must have gone through 10 of them in those two yrs, that palette your favourite one totally reminds me of it and now I have to try and get it lol this look is absolutely stunning i fluffing love it!

I saw these and I bought right away the two with cuss worlds just because and the colors. Now I’m going home to compare pictures with the avocado toast palette that I do own. BH cosmetic is my favorite eyeshadow palettes brand and I favor it even over my ND. Love their colors, the packaging, their formulas and mostly their prices. It’s nice not to have to break the bank for good quality eyeshadows. Can’t wait to get mine! Your look in this vid is awesome!
