Sorry I didn't say this last year, but this video helped me a ton. Short story is I was out of gardening for well over 25 years, day lilies advanced a ton in that time, some of the ones I got were simply not setting anything. I did wonder if I would be able to get the petals off before the next day, since I thought that could be the problem. I just wasn't sure how to do it right. I messed up a few and gave up. Then I happened to run across this video. Turns out I was being too careful and light handed. This worked so much better.
