Nope, just look at any largecap funds vs smallcap funds, there are periods when smallcaps dont perform and that period can last even a decade, just choose largecap or flexicap, both have decent allocation in smallcaps, avoid smallcaps mf on your own, imho

Simple trick, first check Mutual fund portfolio shares, if most of the down specific days then do lumpsum before 2 PM so you will get more units. Do this practice regularly your funds never ever will go negative.

Aur lock in period nhi rehta ..matlab apki iccha ho tab nikal lo aur dusre acche performance wale share me apki amount daal dijiye .. aur returns bhi acche aayenge . Nippon flexi cap , parag parikh flexi cap etc. acche hai ..

An unpopular opinion. Don't go for debt funds. It's risky and the indexation benefit has been withdrawn. Simply go and perk you money in FD, ( can go small fin bank upto 4L ) / gold/good corporate bonds( Bajaj fin FD)
