Hello sir, I want to ask a few basic investing questions which may be a question for many new beginners.
    1) What is the mindset to keep while investing or buying stocks/mutual funds/ SGB? Whether we keep our mind goal oriented ( like you mentioned in old videos desirable/ compulsory fixed goals) or to keep a mindset of increasing your wealth?
    2) If we focus on both of them then, do I need to maintain a different portfolio for separate goals?
    3) What is the best way to divide my 20% of the income (want to know about the risk profile and also merge the goals mentioned in previous questions)?
I am looking forward to your Q&A session for these answers. We really appreciate your contribution to the community for financial awareness.

Hi pranjal I am a NRI and have been investing for over a decade. I really appreciate what you do for the common people.
I would just like you to review once again the NPS model as the equity section of it is charging .5 to 2% as management fees which is very high and in the end of the day it will eat up on customers return.

The expense ratio in NPS ranges around 0.1 per cent. In the case of mutual funds, the charges can vary anywhere between 0.50 per cent to 2 per cent depending on factors such as type of fund and asset mix, etc.

Some contradictions : ET.Momeu seems to prefer multicap over flexicap, because it's seen that in Flexicap, despite having full flexibility, most fund managers are over 65% in Large cap due to liquidity in smallcap and other concerns.
So multicap with its mandate 25% in smallcap seems to have a better chance to generate that Alpha.
PPFCS : There was a recent post, that Parag P fund can be replicated just by diligently following 65% Domestic 35% International equity. Saw a ET Money episode on that recently.
Does it justify the expense ratio then if that's the case ?

Few Queries from a long time follower:
    1) What should we do with Invesco India Contra Fund & Tata Digital India Fund?
    2) Do let us know what to do if there is capital invested in a fund which you are not recommending now.
2.a) Should we stop SIP & shift that capital to a fund recommended in your list.
2.b) How to shift lumpsum at one go or slowly as market is at high valuation.
    3) What should be the percentage allocation of the total capital among all the funds recommended across categories

Funds cannot be transferred from one mf to another. You would have to sell the units in existing MFs. Consequences would be: 1. STT on sell; 2. STT on buy; 3. Capital gain tax on sold units; 4. Exit load on selling the existing MFs if they were not held beyond their respective cutoff periods.

What about midcap fund? If you guys still feel that it's not a good option but if we want to get exposure to some midcap firms, is large & midcap category enough for it or some other option is there? I personally feel with large & midcap, you do get exposure in midcap stocks but large cap exposure increases as well if we are already an investor in large cap category and if we are a high growth risk taking investor then chosing large & midcap fund will not fully suffice it. What are your views?

    Hello Sir,
Awesome work by your team for this video. I am invested in Axis Bluechip (Large cap - Direct - Growth) fund since 2020. Shall I switch to HDFC Index Fund now? How and when should we revise our mutual funds portfolio? Kindly answer as many of the viewers have the same doubts/queries.
    Thanking you. 😊🙏🏼

    • @r0yce
      @r0yce 5 місяців тому +4

You should definitely switch. Most active large cap funds while having more expense ratio underperforms compared to index funds. Your Axis Bluechip fund has an expense ratio of 0.62% while the HDFC Sensex index fund recommended here has an expense ratio of just 0.2%. Any kind of market research will tell you that most large cap funds completely lose to the index funds. Now of course since it's just been 3 years you haven't lost considerable wealth. You should switch anytime you can. Just start a new SIP in the index fund and do a lumpsum from the money you take out from the Axis bluechip fund. Make sure you understand any fees you may have to pay to make the shift. Whenever you want to take risk take it anywhere other than LargeCap funds since over decades the index is the best.
You should never do what someone else tells you to do. Not me. Not any youtuber. Definitely not Pranjal Kamra. He would agree with me. Not your favorite uncle or not even Warren Buffet without doing your own research and due diligence and understanding what you're doing.

No doubts , A good way of growing and saving your money is through investing . You don't need to have much before you can invest. "That little money you have now can make you millions if you invest it wisely". I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn over 3 crore on a yearly basis through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Another point on top of my previous comment: I was looking for your opinion on Quant Funds as they seems to be bearing benchmark left and right.
The Idea of taking Human emotions and bias out of investing and Not being married to an asset class or Segment, considering multiple variable (even things like climate change and earth macros) sounds like music to my ears because I am very much susceptible to these Human Biases !
And the Risk numbers like Beta etc, seems to be stellar compared to the return Quant Ia generating.
But I couldn't find a comprehensive video from you on this topic. Can you please create one video to share your opinion on Quant style of investing ?
As you talk so much about value in Finology, Discussing a highest performing fund should generate great value in my opinion.

I have recently stopped the monthly SIP of Rs 12500 into Axis ELSS Tax saver fund (returns 14.62%) as it is a Regular fund with Divided Payout option (not a Direct & Growth fund).
Going forward, I would be starting a new monthly SIP for the same amount of Rs 12500, in Parag Parikh FlexiCap Direct Growth fund, based on your recommendation, while not skipping any month between the stopped SIP and the new SIP.
    1. Would this ensure, that the power of compounding is not impacted negatively in the long run, due to stopping the SIP in the Regular fund?
    2. What could be the best way to handle the amount available in the Axis ELSS Tax Saver Fund, that has been earned so far?
    Thank you.

Thanks, Pranjal for educating me because of you, I started doing SIP on mutual funds and am in excellent positions in two years.
    I have two queries
    1) SIPs mostly work with a long-term investment that is 15, 20 years or maybe more to take advantage of the dividend and the beauty of compounding comes into place.
If all of a sudden market crashes or things like COVID happen wherein entire returns nullify or become -ve, then should we exit from SIPs or stay on to the same, As it starts with 0 again and the compounding and dividend also becomes 0.
    2nd Question
Should I keep changing my MF/SIPS in few years only and exit with a margin of 15 to 20%. If yes the return will not be effective as the formula of compounding and dividend will not be in place and will have to take exit in very few amount.

if you are exiting just to make higher returns then you are trying to time the market which in most cases goes completely wrong. If you understand rupee cost averaging then one must not exit when the NAVs are low instead one must invest more or shift our funds from debt to equity portfolio.
