Thank you Alex!!!! I needed a wireless microphone for a video I was doing. Was planning on doing this but wasn't sure if the akaso blocking was at the usb-c plug or the capsule itself.
Love your new style videos Alex, i used to love dabbling in electronics as a 14 year old..Brings back great memories of making radios and things from Everyday Electronics magazine back in about 1971/72 in the UK. Really enjoyable and interesting video Alex..
Great video. What I don't understand is if the wiring on the Akaso C is different from a normal C connector. Is there any wiring information on this - pin connections - to ensure correct conversion?
They on purpose make it not standard so that u hav to buy Original. Just like Gopro USBc, need their special adapter which cost USD50 for the adapter alone
Thank you this is great and shows the wiring for a mono / single channel mic. But I have a wireless receiver with 2 mics for stereo. Did you figure out the USB-C to 3.5mm jack pin out wiring for stereo? Stereo wiring is a better solution because stereo wiring will work for both mono and stereo. So it covers any eventuality I see Akaso have released their own 2 channel wireless mic for the Brave 7 and Brave 8. So obviously the cameras supports stereo. Does anyone know the pin out ?
Trying to do the asako Micro USB to 3.5 mod for the V50x and having issues with getting it to work. My 3.5 cable has three wires white, green, and blue. Blue appears to be common. I would assume that the blue wire should go to red if the red is common and the white and green get wired together with the orange
I purchased trs to mini USB cable ( for go Pro hero 3/4 and akaso mic from amazon joined the Red and black from gopro cable to red and shield from akaso plug 👌 job done 👍
来自美国南部左海岸的你好。 My question after watching your GREAT AKASO type C modification, can a DIY alteration be performed to connect a wireless microphone to the AKASO Brave 8? 谢谢
Can you please make a video on how to make type c connections (special wiring) to the mic without buying akaso mic... Here in india akaso mic costs 3300 around 40dollar and its very expensive...
Can you tell me how to modify a microUSB V50X mic cable to allow 3.5mm external mics and also 5VDC external microusb power ? The V50X mic is also very poor quality.
So the mic pre-amp in the Akaso is always the limiting factor ... I suspect it is the reason so many have problems with loud popping noise on recordings? , not the mic itself but the pre-amp.
Thank you for sharing👍I have a V50 Pro with USB type C and I also have a Diety D4 mini microphone. And I also have the original Akaso V50 PRO MIC which I have cut. But my question is does the 3.5mm female socket have to be TRS or TRRS?

That sounds interesting. Can you provide a littte more info please - are these parts commercially available or are they modified. Very keen to run an external wireless mic on a brave 7 full fat (not LE) thanks
Hello my friend! My question would be which 4k 60 fps camera would be the best budget-friendly solution for cooking videos? Under direct lighting. Good video quality would be important.
How come you have fixed this issue? Brave 6, 7 and 8 and Akaso couldn't fix their mics 😂. Anyway, thank you for sharing this, the mic is the only issue that's stopping me from buying an Akaso. I hope Akaso is watching you, so that they can learn.
Because they are greedy... but in the long haul it IS costing them profit as many are buying GoPro. It would be a different story if their external mic was at least better quality. Many would pay a few dollars more for that. Some big companies 'like Akaso' just don't know how to make/keep customers happy and coming back.
Great and informative reviews. Brother where can I buy EKEN H9R 4k+? I'm actually in india. So how can I buy? I checked amazon and other sites. Ali express is not working in india.
Isn’t it just easier to buy a adapter from 3.5mm to type c and plug in a professional rode mic commonly used for gopro ?! I don’t get why you’re doing all that modification..
It’s because the AKASO is wired different internally to a standard adaptor. Kinda like a copyright protection for the AKASO brand so you can’t just plug anything into it. Which in my mind is ridiculous 🤷🏼
@@Italianbornyes your right. I just purchased one and it’s horrible 🤦♂️ I understand now also that the internals of the camera are to blame also but I guess we buy cheap cameras we get inferior parts.
I’m a fun of the is DIY I will repost this to AKASO FB page in the Philippines!
Thank you Alex!!!! I needed a wireless microphone for a video I was doing. Was planning on doing this but wasn't sure if the akaso blocking was at the usb-c plug or the capsule itself.
I had the same idea. If I build one, I'll put a female jack on it so I can plug in any mic I want.
Can you please provide the part number for the new (replacement) microphone so I can swap mine out too. Thanks

Hi I'm having the same. Sent you a dm
I can't send a DM haha. What adapter did you get? Can you send me a link here or just describe what you did and did it work? Thank you
For akaso brave 8 what capsule microphone will give me the best quality? FYI cutting and making a converter did not give me required efficiency.
Thank you sir for the ideas... By the way sir is there any idea or way to have an external mic for akaso brave 7 le? Thank you...
Just made my own and it works great even with my wireless microphone awesome 👌 thanks for the info just made my akaso brave 7 a whole lot better 👍

Hi David, can you tell me how you are able to use a wireless mic with the Akaso Brave 7?
@jackmanatee3162 I cut the plug of the akaso lav mile and fitted a 3.5mm audio socket to it creating a audio adapter 👌

did akaso brave 8 support the wireless mic?
Thanks sir, its very helpful to me.
Hello, do you send the modified to Brazil?
The old capsule had a resistor across the terminals. Why did you not need to add this resistor to the new capsule?

I dont this so

Where can i buy this cable for my v50 pro with usb c connection?
Thank you for this ❤️
So for Akaso, the third party usb c male to female 3.5 mm will not work?
Nope. Only original
