Great video for beginners . when i began in the mechanical manufacturing industry there were instances where time was tight and didnt know if there was warn up needed , or instances where a foreman would come up to me and say " hey youre wasting time " .
One trick ... the standard program has an M30 at the end, so it reaches the end of its dwell, then shuts down ... and starts to cool off. I add one more spindle speed command at about 1/2 of max spindle speed with no dwell and comment out the M30. So, it holds at a nice, easy speed until you come back. Just hit the Reset button when you want to get to work.
Also, you've got to read your own owner's manual. There IS a spindle type that should not be run without a toolholder in it - I'm not sure because I don't have the paperwork here, but I think it's the HSK type.
A nice inclusion in this vid would have been to show a precision turned shaft at the start of the vid that fits into a collar, nice slide fit, then to hold the shaft in your hand for the 10 mins that the video runs, then show at the end that the heat from your hand has made the shaft too big to fit ;)
curtis0432 We tend to get caught up in renovations to our building quite often, as we're racing to upgrade to better serve our membership. So sometimes certain video projects are temorarily shelved. That being said, we actually have a new CNC video coming out in the next week or so, so keep an eye out!

Nevermind the primary purpose of a spindle warmup is get grease flowing and actually lubricate the bearings
Thank you
