Love the format of these restoration videos , you could do this to all small components of the car that need restoration. Great work ! Keep 'em coming!
I hope someone sees this! I’m having trouble getting the motor apart like done at 2:52. Any suggestions? I can get it out an inch or so and then it is stuck!
@@upcyclethepastutp9901 You can actualy buy a DIY kit. I did, it wasnt too expensive. And you can buy yellow passivate and black passivate. Old german cars had a LOT of parts yellow passivated
@@admiralfloofz658 yes they do :) i just bought a gateros diy zinc plating kit, soon i will do the bolts in yellow or silver :) slow progress is still progress ! Hehe. This video with the starter rebuild was a year ago xD

There are two types of starters
Fat and slimmer ( the slimmer is faster and better less ware )
Love from Serbia ;)!
A Sandblast would save you a lot of time and energy on most parts

I've noticed in your videos you don't seem to use liquid sealants or thread locker liquids? Any specific reason?
Usually it is the solenoid contacts that wear out. Painting it doesn’t help that.
Nufar de scos pete hahah. treaba buna :D
Este un degresant foarte bun !
That's way too much grease. When it turns is going to come up the armature and the permanent magnets.
You know those hexbolts arent burnt from factory right? :P Theyre zincplated and black passivated
I know, but which option do you think it's cheaper and easier ? Zincplating and using black/blue passivate or some heat and shitty oil ? XD
