Greg I love zambreros, you need to try what I get; chicken burrito, add Beans, rice, tomato/onion salsa, jalapeño’s, corn chips, lettuce, basilo and chipotle sauce! 👍🏼👌🏼
You must have gotten a dud, Zambrero is usually super tasty!!! Get a Powerburrito so you get double meat. I love the lamb with chipotle and/or garlic sauce.
Zambrero is all about the sauce. Gotta get chipotle or verde and ask for extra. And rotate 90 degrees so that you’re getting a bit of everything in each bite rather than separate bites of rice/meat/salad. I have no shame in admitting I bloody love Zambrero, even though most people I know don’t rate it 🤷🏻♀️
True Mexican burritos, meat ,chicken, beef, pork. Rice refried beans cheese, guacamole. Salsa is there mild. Hot and where's the ice cream, for extra heat. Lettuce is usually one the outside with cheese and sour cream. But the way I prefer is smothered in green chili sauce. Which is pork and green chilies cooked together.
Should be noted that apart from the regular tortillas and BBQ sauce Zambrero is suitable for those with coeliac disease. There is the gluten free tortilla option now. Given there arent that many Proper Gluten Free fast food options out there its a really good place to stop by.
No doubt their kitchens are open plan and their service is fast paced, so they cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contact between ingredients. Therefore just like "Vegan" claims, they should prove there is zero gluten in the food.
@@matthewsmith2758 unless they’ve changed but the one I worked at had bags. Had to pour them into the containers then microwave for at least 35 minutes then they got put in the baine Marie our the front
@@tsterrible usually I like zambreros better than gyg, because gyg is shit with the amount of toppings they put on their tacos. Try zembreros tacos because they really fill it, at least at my location!
Grego I have had their burritos a few times, trying beef, lamb and chicken. I found the meat seemed to be slow cooked, extremely tender and really nice. However as you said, they only put one “scoop” of meat on it. What you didn’t say was that the “scoop” looked like it was a measured tablespoon. It was basically a smear of meat, then loaded with the cheaper ingredients. I found them all tasty and filling, but for the price relative to a tablespoon of meat smeared on it, it was far, far too expensive. I know they go on about some charity overseas, but they can do a lot better and still make $8 from a $12 burrito. If a kebab can be loaded with meat and still turn a profit, they can add more meat than a tablespoon smeared on it. All in all, every time it was tasty and I felt full (with rice and beans that they load on) although ripped off.
@@sonyavincent7450 there are a couple of really good authentic Mexican Restaurants here in Melbourne..one in particular ( I can't remember the name ) but it's right near Balaclava Station in East St Kilda and has great Mexican food .it's a tad expensive but great nonetheless
I don't know WTF happened here in the States or down under, but that shit should be about 4 or 5 dollars. Guess I'm just living in the old days. Cheers 🍻
Nice work there GregO… I’ve not tried these guys as have heard their offerings are a bit bland and expensive… thanks fir the feedback and I think I’ll stick to GyG for now, especially if there’s now whoop-a-dee-doo-dahs… Cheers Gibbo
It's either Amigo or Gringo quality when it comes to Mexican food. Sadly I can no longer eat it anymore... It repeats on me like the movie list of Gem Ch92.. Nice review Greg'o.
I would much rather a quesadilla. Does Zambrero do those? Guzman y Gomez make really nice ones. I'm not a big fan of Burritos. Quesadilla for the win I say!
We have shitloads of Mexican - Salsa's, Tex Mex, Goozmarny Gomez & Sombrero's. It's just that we're not really into it. We prefer our Tabouleh and Kebabs and Thai
Even if i wasn't vegetarian sweetcorn nah only corn i like is the baby corn good score grego but well you put sweet corn on it so i would take a point and a half off your score
Last time i had Zambrero it wasn’t fresh at all and lacked flavour which for Mexican food you know it’s meant to be flavourful but still nice review ☺️
Oporto Chicken 🐔 may be Portuguese, but that's gotta go close to Mexican in some respects,- given who their Colonizers were. Maybe, you could check them out also, for a Portuguese Burrito 🌯?🤔 Anyhow, ... Just thought after seeing your GyG Burrito from 6 months back, and purely from observations (& your statements), what to this Burrito Copy appears to lack, is obviously the Avocado, or rather the Lemon infused Guacamole 🥑 [and has Lettuce in place], but also seems to be missing the GyG Mexican Beans in the Rice also, and I'd guess, and less corn 🌽 perhaps! Also, from your comments, the Chicken here may've been Just plain, whereas I'd bet GyG's Burrito was probably was Marinated in some Spicey mix!! (😋) Maybe traditional Burritos aren't supposed to have it, but if you ever go back there, you could probably improve this Brands item by adding some grated Cheddar cheese, and even a small squirt of Chilli sauce!
only ever tries zambrero once - VFO. Have had real mexican in the US - so different and just way so much better - I have no idea what zambrero actually is
They claim to have GF items, but no doubt their kitchens are open plan and their service is fast paced, so they cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contact between ingredients. Therefore just like "Vegan" claims, they should prove there is zero gluten in the food.
They have a habit of making small ones. You need a good person to make it.. the pork one is best with the chili sauce. I love em but stopped going because they always make em small. They have a weight next to the register that is supposed to show you how much they are supposed to weigh but who's gonna ask.

Good morning Grego. Hey maaate, can you get one without corn?.
$12.40!? I'd have to sell my didgeridoo to be able to afford one of those.
Every Sunday I watch a bloke on UA-cam eat -fish and chips- something
Good profit margins that costs them maybe $3 Australian to make.
Wish I could eat the ingredients in that. That looks very delicious 😋.
poor melissa and rolo if grego is staying there after eating spicy mexican

Zambrero it's sort of like that family member that no-one likes but always seems to be hanging around
Small burrito, beans and white rice, beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, chipotle sauce. Top notch mate.
Nice work, Grego!
I’d love to see you go to Mexico 🇲🇽 and try the real Mexican food
Went on holiday twice ..most delicious food an amazing people x
@Wandering Wombat yes was in cancun ..have a beautiful blessed day love an God bless x
Buritos are American tex-mex food not Mexican
I usually get a Bowl with pulled pork, pinto beans, all the salads, with cheese, guacamole, sour scream, jalapenos and garlic sauce.

Zambreros is trash. At least GYG gives you the illusion of freshly cooked meats, Zambreros meat is pre-cooked and bagged then microwaved.
really? all the zambrero's i've been too have pots of chicken, beef & pork which looks like they cook before they open.
Missionary with a mexican is much better.

Your taste buds knows Grego.

Grego you gotta try the pulled pork in a burrito, it’s supreme. Also they’ve just dropped some new creamy truffle sauce
Zambrero is a write off don't bother, the beef and pork is so sweet it's like eating a dessert,
Hi
Wow, they were cheap on the meat! That is NOT a real Mexican Burrito !!! I'd give it a 1
Hi,
I work there l am a little bit offended
There are nicer ways to explain things
Zambrero in Wyoming is fantastic, best Mexican. Far better than GYG. Great review, Grego. I reckon you're right that you got a dud.
another great review grego!
great video Greg!
Guzmans is much better than Zambreros
Yes
What are you doing on ol Greggo's channel bearing?
I fully agree..
I love their free burrito day every time they open a new restaurant.
Mad mex is better than both. Change my mind.

Try their cauliflower burrito with Chipotle mayo and garlic sauce its definitely awesome and every food you buy at zambrero goes to feeding the hungry

Authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex?
Yes the states are spoiled with excellent Mexican. Its very hard to get in Australia and New Zealand.

If their whole menu is as much of a joke as this burrito, its no wonder..
They just struggle to get a foothold. Clearly its poor management, which can't get the food and locations right.
A good cooking tip for you Greg; if you ever run out of coriander, just use soap.
Totally agree, zambero ain't bad but yeah a bit bland.
It’s not really Mexican Greggo! No cartwheels for me my friend!
