I'm really grateful for people like you because now I don't have to buy so many of these inks to try them, I can watch a video like this and see what's out there!
Thanks for this amazing tour of your ink journal. The color-themed pages make it easy to compare with inks that I already own. I see some potential new favorites here.
Loved seeing all of your ink swatches in one book. You really have a lot of inks and that is SO cool! Thank you for all the time you put in to show us all those swatches. I love it when you post a new video on ink swatches. I get so many good ideas!! Looking forward to what comes next!❤❤❤ 🖋️
This is awesome. I love that you have a notebook full of inks over the year. What a great feeling flipping through and having all the memories. Thank you for sharing.
This was a lot of fun to watch. I watch all your videos but it was still cool to see the flip through. I plan to reswatch my whole collection. I think I want to swatch the full bottles seperate from the samples. My samples are a mess right now. I think I have over 200 samples at this point. Some are almost empty and some havent been used. Im not sure how to tackle them at this point. By brand would probably be easier then by color but I always pick my inks to use by color.... They are stored in vial trays. I wish I had put little sticker swatches on them as I bought them. But I only recently this year started doing that. I was really good at swatchiing alll my inks as I bought them , when I first started 5 years ago and then life happened. LOL...
I completely understand having samples being a mess haha. I like to sort my inks by color first, and then in alphabetical order in the vial trays :) I have each tray labeled as what color they are too. But the circle stickers are REALLY helpful when I am after a specific color. Best advice to swatch your whole collection is just take it one day at a time!
I just love how it all looks in your book! And I am ALWAYS tempted to buy more inks! I did get the Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-same while watching. So tempted by others! So inspiring!
They might not be "taking them away." If they're popular selling colors there's good odds it's an ingredient issue. There's a lot of amazing really similar pink related inks being discontinued currently so this really makes me lean towards suspecting an ingredient issue.
@@mydandeliondiaries I never thought about this. But with perfumes there are always new regulations about what ingredients can still be used and in what amounts. Mostly for health and environment reasons (oakmoss, etc) Perfumes are constantly reformulated or discontinued, so I could see this happen with inks, too. But I don't know anything about how inks are made and what they are made of 😅
@@Polly_Jean I know inks are made with specific dyes/pigments, and then have a balanced solution of other ingredients. I never thought to compare it to perfumes! I think that is a great way to explain the ingredient loss/changes.
What did you cover the notebook with? Figures the blue I want is the discontinued Iroshizuku one :( BPC inks are chronically under discussed. They are so interesting.
The Clear cover is by Midori! It is the classic A5 one. I LOVE BPC inks and have been having a lot of fun with them. Right now I am doing my 30 inks 30 days with only BPC inks!
If you really like purple blacks you might enjoy wearingeul the plague. It doesn’t have the coppery sheen or weirdness that I was hoping it would have lol. But it’s a really nice almost-black and has great flow. I’ve been using it as a black alternative, essentially, (I don’t own a black ink lol)
Yes!! I picked up the Plague last month. It is so interesting! Mine had this red black sheen with the deep purple black base. I'm planning to put it in a ink exploration I have planned for October!
Are you getting the 2024 Diamine inkvent? I am kinda goth, so I'm really excited for the black box, and not too worried about ending up with a lot of black samples, since even though they do seem to go with the theme color, there's always a great variety. Watching your swatching videos of the previous ones kind of convinced me that it's worth it. 😊
Yes! I am :) I'm excited to see what they do for the Black ink too, I'm curious how they will make it stand out. If you love trying new inks and don't want huge bottles, I think the ink vent is a great solution! Plus it is fun to open one a day :)
@@mydandeliondiaries the place I got mine from mildly spoiled it by listing the names of the inks in the purchase page, so I tried not to read it, but at least it didn't say colors or properties! Last year I thought I would be fine, but getting to see everyone post photos, and then watching your daily videos, I ended up feeling so left out! I am pretty sure part of it for me is also just going to be getting to share it with everyone else, and you too! Looking forward to those videos! 😁
So exciting for your ink journal!! I have an A5 Midori clear cover on this notebook. I get them from Jet Pens or Atlas Stationers. They also sometimes have them on Amazon.
@@mydandeliondiaries thanks so much, I ended up doing some digging and figured it was the midori a5, so i placed an order with atlas (ty for code!!) who knew a $4 item would turn into an $80 order...not meeeeee
こんにちはダニエル。ほぼにちがすきです。I've thought about doing ink explorations, but since so many people I follow do them, I just do it with them during their 30 inks 30 days. I am shooting for next year, to completely fill my Hobonichi (ほぼ日). This is a very nice composition notebook of all your inks. Is it indexed?
こんにちはロブ!The Hobonichi notebook is not indexed. It is just a blank notebook. If you haven't seen Sterling Ink's notebooks and you want to stick to Tomoe River Paper, she has some notebooks with page numbers!
@@mydandeliondiaries おはよう、ダニエル。What I meant was, did you index them. I know the blank Hobonichi's do not have an index, but for all my non indexed books, I start on in the back, going towards the front so I don't run out of pages. I've seen the Sterling ink notebooks, love those gilded edges. However, I have way too many notebooks (sure you can relate) so I'm not in the market for one of those just yet.
@@robbourne1950 My apologies! I did start to index them, but fell off. Since I have a separate ink binder system that I catalog my inks in I don't feel the need to go back and index it now hahah

Every time you give an ink the chef’s kiss it gets added to my cart 😆

I will add it to my list of videos :)
So beautiful to watch! Thank you so much! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video as always and always love seeing swatches 🎉

I agree! I think one of the ingredients for the "pink" color in all three inks must have gone away or is too hard to obtain.
