I actually love Killing is my Business, it's one of my favorite Megadeth albums, but I get why some people don't like it. The best album is Rust in Peace, but my favorite is actually Peace Sells. And their worst is Super Collider by far.
1. Rust in Peace (10/10) 2. Peace Sells… but who’s buying? (10/10) 3. Countdown to Extinction (9.5/10) 4. So Far, So Good… So What! (9.5/10) 5. Endgame (9/10) 6. Killing is my Business (8.5/10) 7. My Opinions: KIMB: A fun debut but production leaves a bit to be desired Peace Sells: Bonified Classic So Far So Good: A bit biased as this was my intro to Dave and Co but a pretty good Thrash album Rust In Peace: Masterpiece Countdown: Also a Masterpiece imo Youthanasia: Not bad, love the song Killing Road though Cryptic Writings: Pretty good, I'd say this is Megadeth's Black Album., Vortex is underrated Risk: Not awful but sounds like a Dave Post-Grunge Solo Album TWNAH: Garbage, minus The Dread and The Fugitive Mind System Has Failed: Ok, a step in the right direction, love Blackmail the Universe though United: Beginning of Dave's Alex Jones phase but some consistent material on here. Endgame: Really solid album Thirteen: B-Sides the album Super Collider: Even the song Kingmaker can't save this album Dystopia: Better but peak Cringe Mustaine lyrics and kinda forgettable The Sick The Dying and The Dead: Not perfect but a much better album with some better songs than some previous albums mentioned and much less cringe lyrics.
Megadeth is THE Band that you can thank for me coming the Metalhead I am today. Peace Sells was my 1st Metal album I ever heard that got me to be really interested with Metal (I heard some of Ozzy’s , Metallica’s, Judas Priest’s hits on radio stations but tbh they did not interest me into getting into Metal) Being a HUGE Punk fan Peace Sells immediately interested me. Megadeth ever since then has become one of my favorite bands of all time If not my favorite possibly Killing is My Business: While this is one of the Weaker Big 4 Debuts I do think it is Underrated af. I know many people hate the production but for the INSANE punky Thrash they were going for while not always the most consistent that Nancy Sinatra Cover was pretty bad but this still a great album 4/5. Peace Sells: MASTERPIECE. Every Song 5/5 SFSGSW: A Really good follow up even if it gets REALLY weird. I don’t really enjoy 502 but the rest Amazing 4.5/5 Rust in Peace: Not only my favorite Metal album of all time. IT is my favorite ALBUM of all time period. 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000/5 Countdown to extinction: Its a great follow up to one of the Greatest albums ever made 90% if not all of the songs on here are bangers 5/5 Youthanasia: I love every single song on here this is honestly a PERFECT Heavy metal album. I love most of the Vocals on here (Ok except those very questionable lyrics on family tree) But it is my 2nd favorite album from Megadeth 5/5 Cryptic Writings: It’s an album that has grown on me tbh I love she Wolf, Vortex, but it does a few stinkers 3.5/5 Risk: Tbh I really like this album it is one of my biggest guilty pleasures specially The Doctor’s calling, Insomnia, Prince of Darkness, The Time songs I find to be fun but it does have a few genuine cringe moments though like Breadline 3.5/5 The World Needs a Hero: the World doesn’t need this Boring, Uninspired, Bland and Outright SAFE album and fuck Promises, When 1.5/5. The System has Failed: Amazing comeback. Love MOST of these tracks except for the last 2 songs on the album it ends on a Wimper. 4/5 United Abominations: One of their true Highlights post Countdown Era. I LOVE the 1st Side and most of the 2nd Half (Ok but Amerikhastan that song and lyrics are awful) 4.5/5 Endgame: Honestly would say that this album was REALLY Close to being a Genuine modern metal masterpiece but I don’t like the cheesy ballad on this thing I think it completely slows down the momentum on this record. 4.5/5 13: it’s.......Ok but ngl pretty disappointing I do think they should have included this in a B-Sides EP and should have made more original material because Black Swan, Public Enemy no 1, Sudden Death, Never Dead are the only good songs on here 2.5/5 Supercollider: While I would say we have differing opinions on the megadeth Discography as a Whole we can both agree to show this album the middle finger. Kingmaker is the ONLY song I would say that is decent on this thing but I hate everything else about this album. Dave’s Vocals are shit, the composition is Weak, their worst production ever even KILLING IS MY BUSINESS’s Production I would say is better. I do think this album is better than disasterpieces like Lulu, Diabolus in Musica but it gets DAMN NEAR Close with challenging those 2 for the shit crown 0.5/5 an abomination. Dystopia-Given the Fact that this was my 1st Megadeth album I got to hear released as a HUGE fan at this point I have a deep personal connection to this thing. I do think this is their best album since Youthanasia, (Yes the lyrics are.....yikes but I stopped taking Dave seriously after Endgame and some of the badly aged politically charged lyrics on that thing. Seriously Dave listened to Alex Jones a little TOO MUCH) but I actually LOVE the production here. Kiko, and Chris Adler gave Megadeth the kick in the ass they needed to make amazing thrash metal. This and Anthrax’s For all Kings (You need to do Anthrax now, might as well finish the big 4) are masterpieces and easily my 2 favorite Big 4 albums Released in a LONG Time 5/5 Well that was my TED Talk on Megadeth. It’s ok to disagree I still love and support y’all 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥
I actually took time and read all of that and damn dude, we are in complete tune and on the same wave length when it comes to our ops on music at least what you brought up hear , the only slight disagreement would be that as time passes my appreciation of the absolute brilliance of peace sells grows to the point that I have it as their best and my favorite. As great as Marty is, there's something very unique about Chris Polands sound. The guy ( and Dave too by the way, we conveniently leave him out sometimes, which is a huge mistake he's a brilliant unique player in his own right) just slays and this record and that jazz influence brought in by him and Gar just puts this album in its own class, for me at least. Also Absolutely 100% agree, For all kings is a monster album that just somehow falls below the radar, kind of like Anthrax who have been putting out maybe the best stuff of any of the big 4 for the last, well, couple of albums at least. And Dystopia for me is my third favorite go to album from the Megadeth portfolio, right behind the two obvious peace sells and Rust in piece. It's always good to know there's another soul in the world that's in tune with yourself! Lol. Rock on ! peace
I love Thirteen. Made me a Megadeth fan. Could never stand Daves voice. After thirteen I loved megadeth. Seriously awesome drums and guitar riffs. I loved it. Played it like half a year in my car lol.

My top 3 favorite Megadeth albums are Rust in Peace (5/5), Youthanasia (4.5/5), and Countdown to Extinction (4.25/5). I enjoy the hell out of Youthanasia haha
1: Rust In Peace 2: So Far So Good So What 3: Countdown to Extinction 4: Peace Sells 5: United Abominations 6: Killing is my Business 7: Endgame 8: The System has Failed 9: Youthanasia 10: Cryptic Writings 11: Dystopia 12: The Sick The Dying and The Dead 13: Thirteen 14: The World Needs a Hero 15: Risk 16: Super Collider For me, only 13-16 don't get regular play. Hate to do this to you bud but my ranking be: Youthanasia Rust in peace Peace sells Dystopia Killing is my business Countdown So far.. Thirteen Endgame The system has failed United abominations Cryptic writings Risk The world (dread and the fugitive mind is an amazing song tho) Supercollider
1 - Rust In Peace 2 - Youthanasia 3 - Countdown To Extinction 4 - Peace Sells 5 - So Far So Good So What 6 - Endgame 7 - The World Needs A Hero 8 - The System Has Failed 9 - Risk 10 - United Abominations 11 - Cryptic Writings 12 - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! 13- Dystopia 14- Th1rt3en 15 - Super Collider
I’m gonna be honest, I strongly disagree with you on Risk. No joke, I’d rather marathon St Anger and Lulu back to back for a week than listen to Risk ever again. There’s not one single redeemable song on that entire album. Insomnia is boring, Prince Of Darkness is boring, Enter The Arena is boring, Crush Em is boring, every single song on that album is boring. It’s a flat out 0 for me but I’m glad you got more enjoyment outta it than I did. Imma give this a like because I still thoroughly enjoyed this video
as much as people hate on risk,It has gotten better over the years for me & its not as bad people say it is,its not the megadeth we know & love but rather something drastically different
@@dynamo4543 Honestly, Risk is pretty much just a meme for me to hate on, truth be told, its kind of a guilty pleasure of mine, kinda like Tickets to my Downfall by MGK or Skillet in general (Except their first 3 albums and their last album. we don't talk about those)
Say what you will about Risk, but it's a good album. Bad Megadeth album, but a damn good album in general. And it at least felt like a natural evolution from Cryptic Writings.
Lol I remember the video for Super Collider. It's so bad coming from Megadeth of all bands! It looks like something I'd expect from a 2010s indie pop band.
1. Countdown 2. Killing is my Business 3. Peace Sells 4. Rust in Peace 5. Youthanasia 6. The Sick the Dying 7. Cryptic Wiritings 8. So Far So Good 9. Dystopia
Rust in peace is a masterpiece Marty Friedmans guitar solo in Tornado of souls is insane once I heard that album I had to learn the whole album on guitar.
Good vid! We disagree about several of these (Killing, Youth, System, United, Thirteen) but I understand your perspectives. Totally agree about Dystopia too - I find it musically bland and the lyrics are awful to the point of distracting from the music. The “best album since Rust” takes about it are just insane to me lol
My rank would be: 16 - The World Needs a Hero 15 - Youthanasia 14 - Risk 13 - Super Collider 12 - So Far, So Good… So What?! 11 - The System Has Failed 10 - Killing is My Business… And Business is Good! 9 - Th1rt3en 8 - Cryptic Writings 7 - United Abominations 6 - The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! 5 - Dystopia 4 - Endgame 3 - Countdown to Extinction 2 - Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?! 1 - Rust In Peace
Man, this is revisiting an old video of yours... but... What about doing some reviews of band members' projects outside the Big Four? Admittedly, I'm curious about your opinion of Damn The Machine, but you could do former members of Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer... easily! Love your interactions with Anna, because my Love is just as much a reason why I'm funny... and don't come across as so in these posts, because she's at work while I'm drunk/in pain. But trust me, we get you! Love your insight! Hope the algorithm does, too! Edit: I would LOVE a comparison between the different versions of MD.45!
It’s funny how much I enjoy watching people talk about a band they care about, when I couldn’t really care less about that band. I never grew up loving Megadeth, I still don’t care about them, but I get excited when you talk about their highs, and I’m ready to laugh along when you tear into their low points. Great video, man!
Pretty spot on. Thou I do like Dystopia a little better. I think it's pretty solid. It could be the left over butt hurt from their previous albums as you mention but whatever the reason I like it. And I like the production. I think it sounds great. I'm with you on the politics, however. Bravo!
Rust In Peace And Peace Sells Are Masterpieces In their Own Way But I Can Tell You Rust In Peace Is Hands down The Best record They have Ever Done and That Song Hangar 18 Probably Had One Of the Best ending to a rock song ever! And dont get me started on That Opening To Devils Island which is Evil As Shit and epic And Peace sells is a Totally Iconic like who doesnt know that song
Awesome video man. My favorite megadeth album will always be peace sells that and rust (both a 5 IMO)for least favorite Endame and world needs a hero ( 0.5 and 1 respectively)
Where's Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets? Mustaine wrote all of those albums too, ya know. /s Edit: I like how my sarcastic comment led to a legit argument in the replies haha
I know you're joking but the amount of people who unironically say this just makes me wanna say: -4 of 10 songs from kill em all (they credit mustaine on at least 2 songs) -Half of the song Ride the lightning -One bridge riff on Leper messiah, and it's reworked quite a bit
@@sirspookybones1118 actually Mustaine wrote a lot more in Kill'em All but was only credited in four songs, not saying he wrote the whole album but yeah. On Ride The Lightning he also wrote the riff in Call Of Cuthullu.
@@galosniper7010 forgot call of Ktulu, so yeah 2. Dont think theres a massive amount of certainty if Mustaine wrote more on Kill em all but it's definitely 4 songs thatbyabe direct Mustaine links (maybe his riffs were reworked a bit more?)
@@sirspookybones1118 i say that because in the four songs he wrote all by himself, he still shared songwriting credits with James and Lars, and there are at least two songs written by a friend of James who was not credited, one of those two songs being Hit The Lights.
My list: -KIMB a great debut despite the poor production, some classic songs mixed in with that awful cover of these boots 4/5 -Peace sells one of the best big 4 thrash albums except for that I ain't superstitious cover 4.5/5 -SFSGSW a good album, in my darkest hour and hook in mouth are amazing, but everything else is just good 3.5/5 -RIP my favourite album of all time, MASTERPIECE 6/5 -CTE great followup, but has some meh songs (probably only captive honour) 4.5/5 -youthanasia also a great album, better riffs but weaker vocal performances 4/5 -CW a fine album, has some classic songs, but it's overall just decent 3/5 -risk 2.5/5 an overhated album, It's not bad (not that It's good either, but much better than other records such as the shit train that is st. Anger) -TWNAH just so fucking boring aside feom dread and the fugitive mind (that song is fire) and a couple other ones 1.5/5 -TSHF great comeback album, kinda underrated and it has some bangers such as back in the day and blackmail the universe 4/5 -UA aside from dave's vocal performances, a fantastic album, has some of the best riffs on the band 4/5 -Endgame same as UA but with better riffs and vocals, 4th best album from them for me, really great 4,5/5 -13 Not terrible, but still bad, it has a few goid songs but it's still really forgettable 1.5/5 -Super collider: pretty terrible, awful production and vocal performances, but at least the riffs are ok, I guess 1/5 -Dystopia a great comeback just like TSHF, maybe a bit overproduced, but still has great songs 4/5 -TSTDATD another great record, slightly better than the last one, and rhe first time in AGES when dave mustaine does a great vocal performance in a record 4/5 (leaning towards a 4.5/5)
I should probably follow up and say I completely agree with the Thirteen review. I've seen some people rate that pretty well and I'm like "ARE YOU NUTS?" It's a B-Side album to fill a contractual obligation!
Hey man! You mentioned that you were at the Megadeth show in Toronto not too long ago. I was there too! Perhaps you'd do a video reviewing the show? I'd be Curious to hear what you thought about it.
Ehhh the idea of a concert review has never really interested me. Besides, I get too drunk when I'm out to think very critically about a show, I just wanna have fun.
@@themetalmeltdownofficial fair enough. Overall, did you like the show? I thought it was good, but Dave's voice was kinda rough. Wish they had played a little longer too.
I was very shocked by that Peace Sells score, as that was one of my introductions to this band and still stands as one of my all time favorite metal records. But yeah, Rust in Peace fucking kills any and all competition in its field, and even outside of it. I find it to be one of the most triumphant, if not the most, in all of extreme music, metal, and beyond. Thunderous, fast, chaotic, pissed off, what more can I say? If you can define metal in the dictionary, this record would be the picture in said dictionary. Outside of that, I've jammed a LOT of their music for years, and I actually rate them higher than Metallica despite having some noticeable dips in quality. Risk isn't anywhere near as bad as St. Anger, but it's still not good. Super Collider is easily their worst, and I haven't jammed the new record. Even then, when they hit the mark, it's a fucking bullseye, if not damn close. I'm not going to rank them this time because there's still some stuff I need to listen to from them, which is a lot to stomach. Other than that, my favorite out of the Big 4, bar none. And yes, even for how much I love Master and Ride the Lightning.
Finally found someone who prefers Risk over The World Needs A Hero. My rating for Risk would not be as high as yours but I certainly enjoy this album more than The World Needs A Hero. For me, Risk is a poor album but I have the same opinion as you on The World Needs A Hero.
Megadeth is another band I’ve always appreciated from afar and never really bothered for a deep drive. I’ve listened to the classics and have my favorites songs (that bass hook on PSBWB is UNDEFEATABLE imo), but at this point I feel like the moment has passed for me.
@@karmenzito8834 lol first of all I don’t think you even read what I said. I have Rust In Peace. I have Peace Sells. I’ve listened to Risk and plenty others. But even if that weren’t true I can’t even imagine living such a sad existence that I would seriously judge myself or anyone else in this manner. It’s depressing quite frankly, and if the literal hundreds of albums I listen to a year isn’t good enough to earn your respect at this point, well I guess you should make your own channel then and put me in my place. But either way by all means enjoy your super collider and stay the fuck away from the open minded community we’re trying to cultivate here.
@@MetalTrenches I see, another narrow-minded Megadeth fanboy is attacking your exquisite and diversity prone personality... Learn your stuff as a guy who runs YT channel, it's not about liking it.
I definitely agree that Super Collider is Megadeth’s worst album, but I feel like a big reason why it loses people is the track listing. It starts off strong with Kingmaker but then the title track sounds like a b side from the Cryptic Writings era to me and then Burn and Built For War are some of the most generic Megadeth songs ever and that’s tracks 2-4. It really picks up for me after that. Off The Edge, Dance In The Rain, Beginning Of Sorrow, The Blackest Crow, Forget To Remember, Don’t Turn Your Back, A House Divided and All I Want are all enjoyable songs in my opinion. I wouldn’t say that any of the songs I enjoy are amazing or essential Megadeth songs but I do think the album as a whole is much better than it gets credit for.
Opinions man, we all have Em, and therefore nothing you say is wrong.....but I disagree a bit. There's a great number of people that rank Peace Sells higher, or at least equal, to RIP. Peace Sells is my favorite, but I can admit that RiP might technically be a bit better. Grading Peace Sells closer to Sfsgsw than RiP is just silly. As is ranking CTE above Peace Sells. Oh, I've gotta stop. Risk is much worse than cryptic. Youthanasia is roughly on par with CTE. Oh, we disagree too much, I can't keep going on without sounding like a beeotch.
Peace Sells is a 5/5 Rust is a 4.5/5 for me Rust has a couple songs that I could take or leave but on Peace Sells every single song is memorable making the album the perfect combination of accessible and extreme while being catchy. That's just me.🤷♂️
Countdown to Extinction is a better Black Album, than the Black Album. Mind you, I don’t dislike the Black Album, but certainly Countdown is a more interesting and even entertaining record.
Set the world afire is definitely one of the best early Megadeth songs. Countdown is my favorite but I understand why everyone says RIP is their best . Countdown was my first exposure to Megadeth. It would tie RIP for me. I love the live feel of Youthanasia they were so tight after touring Countdown. Killing Road is killer and has another amazing Marty solo on it . Youthanasia is getting finer with age I think ?
Never understood the hate for world needs a hero I always thought was a banger I even like super collider for a listen but it’s one of my least favorite
Dystopia is unsetteling! Dave’s paranoia is very explicit and was bad then, but aged like milk. Still most others hail it as their best since “Rust In Peace”, hell no! Poisonous Shadows is honestly pretty good, but the rest not that good tbh. About Supercollider, terrible album, but Kingmaker is okay and Cold Sweat isn’t a MD song and I don’t like the original that’s why I like that too ;). Rust In Peace 10/10 Peace Sells 9,5/10 Endgame 9/10 Countdown 8,5/10 United Abominations 8/10 KIMB 7,5/10 Youthanasia 7/10 So Far, So Good... So What! 7/10 Cryptic Writings 5/10 Thirteen 5/10 Dystopia 5/10 Risk 4/10 The System Has Failed 4/10 The World Needs A Hero 2/10 Supercollider 1/10
super collider isnt that bad, forget to remember is a pretty good track, its better than the world needs a hero. and also rating youthanasia 2,5/5 is a crime
I have the same thoughts as you regarding Youthanasia. I was ridiculously hyped when it came out since RIP and Countdown were so awesome but that one fell flat and they pretty much lost me after that. I am however looking forward to the new album to see Dirk's influence on it.
U've got the taste man; love to listen your reviews! Same here; Megadeth is so precious for me too. There is no doubt that "Rust in Peace" is the best album ever done; all metalheads have to listen (experience) it just as u've said. And for me there is only one really weak album in Megaedeth's discography (which i also hate) is "Super Collider". But i cannot agree on u on some especially on Youthanasia (for me it's a masterpiece) and Thirteen (kinda compliation of B-sides but it's still great).. wait a min, Dystopia is awesome too, c'mon! Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge; really fun to watch n' listen. Stay metal.
I totally respect your opinion, but as a hardcore Megadeth fan, I'm very surprised to see RISK ranked higher than Youthanasia. Both Objectively and Subjectively speaking, Youthanasia has far superior and listener friendly tracks to that of Risk. And if we're taking the "metal" content into consideration ... I think most metal fans we agree. ... Youthanasia would be digging the grave for Risk.
A Day to Remember just put out their new album, entitled You're Welcome. And by golly, that album MIGHT be another contender for WORST METAL ALBUM OF 2021!
Rust In Peace - best album - yes. However I actually like Th1t3en and Supercollider (sorry!). The track Kingmaker is a Children Of The Grave rip off but I can’t help but like it. I think I’m probably one of your oldest viewers (49) so it’s maybe the dad rock thing. I reckon you review every Cannibal Corpse album next. Not Six Feet Under!
Not sure I'd see much of a point. After a while it'd devolve into 'yep, sounds just like the last album' ahah. But we'll see, maybe I'll leave that up to the polls...
the word of the day is "certified banger"
I'm sorry to be a douche, but that is two words x
This is a certified hood classic
Rust in Peace sounds amazing still and has truly great solos 👍

Rust in Peace was the first album I bought by Megadeth because it was the cheapest and I could afford it. I had no idea this would be the pinnacle!
He said the conquering instead of the conjuring. 🤣
I actually love Killing is my Business, it's one of my favorite Megadeth albums, but I get why some people don't like it. The best album is Rust in Peace, but my favorite is actually Peace Sells. And their worst is Super Collider by far.
I love Killing is my Business 🤟🏻🔥
Thanks someone said it.
But even Super Colider has some good songs: Kingmaker, Dance In The Rain, Blackest Crow.
The early recordings of any 80s thrash band are mostly suitable for fans who appreciate the more hardcore punk-influenced side of the genre.

My Opinions:
KIMB: A fun debut but production leaves a bit to be desired
Peace Sells: Bonified Classic
So Far So Good: A bit biased as this was my intro to Dave and Co but a pretty good Thrash album
Rust In Peace: Masterpiece
Countdown: Also a Masterpiece imo
Youthanasia: Not bad, love the song Killing Road though
Cryptic Writings: Pretty good, I'd say this is Megadeth's Black Album., Vortex is underrated
Risk: Not awful but sounds like a Dave Post-Grunge Solo Album
TWNAH: Garbage, minus The Dread and The Fugitive Mind
System Has Failed: Ok, a step in the right direction, love Blackmail the Universe though
United: Beginning of Dave's Alex Jones phase but some consistent material on here.
Endgame: Really solid album
Thirteen: B-Sides the album
Super Collider: Even the song Kingmaker can't save this album
Dystopia: Better but peak Cringe Mustaine lyrics and kinda forgettable
The Sick The Dying and The Dead: Not perfect but a much better album with some better songs than some previous albums mentioned and much less cringe lyrics.
Rust in peace is my favorite album of the Big 4. It's ridiculously good
correct
its almost unthinkable how you can make an album that good
Megadeth is THE Band that you can thank for me coming the Metalhead I am today. Megadeth ever since then has become one of my favorite bands of all time If not my favorite possibly
Killing is My Business: While this is one of the Weaker Big 4 Debuts I do think it is Underrated af. I know many people hate the production but for the INSANE punky Thrash they were going for while not always the most consistent that Nancy Sinatra Cover was pretty bad but this still a great album 4/5.
Peace Sells: MASTERPIECE. Every Song 5/5
SFSGSW: A Really good follow up even if it gets REALLY weird. I don’t really enjoy 502 but the rest Amazing 4.5/5
Rust in Peace: Not only my favorite Metal album of all time. IT is my favorite ALBUM of all time period. 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000/5
Countdown to extinction: Its a great follow up to one of the Greatest albums ever made 90% if not all of the songs on here are bangers 5/5
Youthanasia: I love every single song on here this is honestly a PERFECT Heavy metal album. I love most of the Vocals on here (Ok except those very questionable lyrics on family tree)
But it is my 2nd favorite album from Megadeth 5/5
Cryptic Writings: It’s an album that has grown on me tbh I love she Wolf, Vortex, but it does a few stinkers 3.5/5
Risk: Tbh I really like this album it is one of my biggest guilty pleasures specially The Doctor’s calling, Insomnia, Prince of Darkness, The Time songs I find to be fun but it does have a few genuine cringe moments though like Breadline 3.5/5
The World Needs a Hero: the World doesn’t need this Boring, Uninspired, Bland and Outright SAFE album and fuck Promises, When 1.5/5.
The System has Failed: Amazing comeback. Love MOST of these tracks except for the last 2 songs on the album it ends on a Wimper. 4/5
United Abominations: One of their true Highlights post Countdown Era. I LOVE the 1st Side and most of the 2nd Half (Ok but Amerikhastan that song and lyrics are awful)
4.5/5
Endgame: Honestly would say that this album was REALLY Close to being a Genuine modern metal masterpiece but I don’t like the cheesy ballad on this thing I think it completely slows down the momentum on this record. 4.5/5
13: it’s.......Ok but ngl pretty disappointing I do think they should have included this in a B-Sides EP and should have made more original material because Black Swan, Public Enemy no 1, Sudden Death, Never Dead are the only good songs on here 2.5/5
Supercollider: While I would say we have differing opinions on the megadeth Discography as a Whole we can both agree to show this album the middle finger.
This and Anthrax’s For all Kings (You need to do Anthrax now, might as well finish the big 4) are masterpieces and easily my 2 favorite Big 4 albums Released in a LONG Time 5/5
Well that was my TED Talk on Megadeth. It’s ok to disagree I still love and support y’all 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥
Anthrax is DEFINITELY next at this point. After that, it might be up to y'all...
It's funny people don't take Dave's lyrics seriously, yet they keep happening to us today
Lol. Rock on ! peace
I agree way more with you.
@@themetalmeltdownofficialyeah man anthrax is pretty good
I love Thirteen. Made me a Megadeth fan. Could never stand Daves voice. After thirteen I loved megadeth. Seriously awesome drums and guitar riffs. I loved it. Played it like half a year in my car lol.
Hidden treasures is my favorite ha haha.

Imma give this a like because I still thoroughly enjoyed this video
i Expected Risk to be annihilated
My disappointment is immeasurable, And my day is ruined.
Jokes aside, great video as always
as much as people hate on risk,It has gotten better over the years for me & its not as bad people say it is,its not the megadeth we know & love but rather something drastically different
I don’t think Risk is better than killing is my business but that’s my personal opinion
Lol I remember the video for Super Collider. It's so bad coming from Megadeth of all bands! It looks like something I'd expect from a 2010s indie pop band.
1. Countdown

Rust in peace is a masterpiece Marty Friedmans guitar solo in Tornado of souls is insane once I heard that album I had to learn the whole album on guitar.
New World Order is an underrated banger, change my mind.
Good vid! We disagree about several of these (Killing, Youth, System, United, Thirteen) but I understand your perspectives. Totally agree about Dystopia too - I find it musically bland and the lyrics are awful to the point of distracting from the music. The “best album since Rust” takes about it are just insane to me lol
Rust In Peace is definitely one of my favorite metal albums of all time. I love Five Magics.

The world needs a hero is a banger of an album whatchu mean and so is Th1rt3en, good call on super collider tho lol
And, do we care
@@edselgriffin7221you apparently do
"The Conquering"? Yeah, great track! lol.
I would make him say The Conjuring as I force choke him. 🤦
Pretty spot on. Thou I do like Dystopia a little better. I think it's pretty solid. It could be the left over butt hurt from their previous albums as you mention but whatever the reason I like it. And I like the production. I think it sounds great. I'm with you on the politics, however. Bravo!
Their first five albums will always be their best imo. Although im also a big fan of Endgame! I think it's a really underrated album.
I agree with Risk being a decent album for what it is and I could never get into youthanasia.
thanks. this was really interesting, l ive never heard of some of these albums. sounds like i should be glad of that tbh.
Rust in Peace best album followed by countdown to extinction and dystopia
Awesome video man. My favorite megadeth album will always be peace sells that and rust (both a 5 IMO)for least favorite Endame and world needs a hero ( 0.5 and 1 respectively)
Where's Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets? Mustaine wrote all of those albums too, ya know. /s
Edit: I like how my sarcastic comment led to a legit argument in the replies haha
Those three albums were released by Metallica.
I know you're joking but the amount of people who unironically say this just makes me wanna say:
-4 of 10 songs from kill em all (they credit mustaine on at least 2 songs)
-Half of the song Ride the lightning
-One bridge riff on Leper messiah, and it's reworked quite a bit
A great undertaking
Your videos are the best in rating or reviewing metal cds.
My list:
-KIMB a great debut despite the poor production, some classic songs mixed in with that awful cover of these boots 4/5
-Peace sells one of the best big 4 thrash albums except for that I ain't superstitious cover 4.5/5
-SFSGSW a good album, in my darkest hour and hook in mouth are amazing, but everything else is just good 3.5/5
-RIP my favourite album of all time, MASTERPIECE 6/5
-CTE great followup, but has some meh songs (probably only captive honour) 4.5/5
-youthanasia also a great album, better riffs but weaker vocal performances 4/5
-CW a fine album, has some classic songs, but it's overall just decent 3/5
-risk 2.5/5 an overhated album, It's not bad (not that It's good either, but much better than other records such as the shit train that is st. Anger)
-TWNAH just so fucking boring aside feom dread and the fugitive mind (that song is fire) and a couple other ones 1.5/5
-TSHF great comeback album, kinda underrated and it has some bangers such as back in the day and blackmail the universe 4/5
-UA aside from dave's vocal performances, a fantastic album, has some of the best riffs on the band 4/5
-Endgame same as UA but with better riffs and vocals, 4th best album from them for me, really great 4,5/5
-13 Not terrible, but still bad, it has a few goid songs but it's still really forgettable 1.5/5
-Super collider: pretty terrible, awful production and vocal performances, but at least the riffs are ok, I guess 1/5
-Dystopia a great comeback just like TSHF, maybe a bit overproduced, but still has great songs 4/5
-TSTDATD another great record, slightly better than the last one, and rhe first time in AGES when dave mustaine does a great vocal performance in a record 4/5 (leaning towards a 4.5/5)
Literally had me screaming at my TV during the KIMB, Peace Sells, and Dystopia reviews. The KIMB and Dystopia reviews made my head explode. Well done.
I should probably follow up and say I completely agree with the Thirteen review. I've seen some people rate that pretty well and I'm like "ARE YOU NUTS?" It's a B-Side album to fill a contractual obligation!
1. cryptic writings
2. rust in peace
3. so far so good so what
4. countdown to extinction
Every single Testament album?
Oooof, tempting.
What do you think of the sick and the dying and the dead?
Rust in peace 1st, I like Endgame for the 2nd one and Peace sells 3rd, but I dont like "Risk" at all, and "super collider" is very bad too I agree
Fun night all things considered. But yeah, Dave was sounding ROUGH. Honestly I thought his solos were a little sloppy too, thank god for Kiko lmao.
Rust in Peace is the 2nd best Metal album of all time. Dave made Countdown to Extinction to rival Metallica and the Grung scence.
Megadeth is another band I’ve always appreciated from afar and never really bothered for a deep drive. I’ve listened to the classics and have my favorites songs (that bass hook on PSBWB is UNDEFEATABLE imo), but at this point I feel like the moment has passed for me.
Wow, never bothered with Megadeth? You were too busy with the shitty metalcore stuff
@@gravehaunt3697 God forbid people like different stuff 🙄
Not even a fan of Megadeth but what an embarrassment of a metal youtuber you are - how about getting familiar with the major releases in metal?

Rust in peace wasn't my favourite. Countdown was. Absolutely mind-blowing
Risk over Youthanasia is crazy to me. Still a great video
how do yall not like tshf?
Risk wasn't released in 97. It was cryptic writings.
Can't say I agree but fun video none the less 🤘
I have a Rust in peace patch on my vest that I got back in 2018.
Top stuff as always, old bean :)

I remember buying Th1rth3en when it came out. BORING AS HELL.
Looool, its all good. No shame in disagreeing, so long as we can remain civil.
Peace Sells is a 5/5
Rust is a 4.5/5 for me
Rust has a couple songs that I could take or leave but on Peace Sells every single song is memorable making the album the perfect combination of accessible and extreme while being catchy. That's just me.🤷♂️
Rust in Peace is one of the best metal albums I have heard!
United Abominations is my personal favorite🤷♂️. Love everything about it
That’s what an abomination is all about 👍
Countdown to Extinction is a better Black Album, than the Black Album. Mind you, I don’t dislike the Black Album, but certainly Countdown is a more interesting and even entertaining record.
rust in peace lowkey the goat
Set the world afire is definitely one of the best early Megadeth songs. Countdown is my favorite but I understand why everyone says RIP is their best . Countdown was my first exposure to Megadeth. It would tie RIP for me. I love the live feel of Youthanasia they were so tight after touring Countdown. Killing Road is killer and has another amazing Marty solo on it . Youthanasia is getting finer with age I think ?

Dystopia is unsetteling! Dave’s paranoia is very explicit and was bad then, but aged like milk. Still most others hail it as their best since “Rust In Peace”, hell no! Poisonous Shadows is honestly pretty good, but the rest not that good tbh. About Supercollider, terrible album, but Kingmaker is okay and Cold Sweat isn’t a MD song and I don’t like the original that’s why I like that too ;).

Youthanasia is a classic, better than countdown to extinction
super collider isnt that bad, forget to remember is a pretty good track, its better than the world needs a hero. and also rating youthanasia 2,5/5 is a crime
I have the same thoughts as you regarding Youthanasia. I was ridiculously hyped when it came out since RIP and Countdown were so awesome but that one fell flat and they pretty much lost me after that.
I am however looking forward to the new album to see Dirk's influence on it.
Dude's a great drummer, perhaps the perfect fit for Megadeth right now. Pumped to see what he brings to the table.
Countdown to extinction > peace sells
Stay metal.
Peace sells is my personal fave but RIP is undeniably a classic... Plus I enjoyed 13 so come at me lol!
Talking about Capitol insurrection... would you consider reviewing Iced Earth? They have some really sick albums.
Honestly, never was a huge fan of their stuff. I'll pass.
@@themetalmeltdownofficial Fair enough, thanks for replying!
Cool
I LOVE MEGADETH! My all time favorite album is RUST IN PEACE!
