Y'all are the best of 2020! I started listening in February and it's made this year so much more bearable! Thanks for all the great isolation memories :)
Have you gone back and caught up? I think their podcasts *absolutely* hold their entertainment value. Their Caravan of Garbage is maybe even more worthwhile (I recommend the Ocean's 11 one, and the 5-part Transformers as maybe the best, if you haven't watch them. Although maybe you want to go through in some kind of chronological order so you don't hit the best right off the bat... lots of great content though).
Cheers to the weekly planet for getting me through 2020! Without their vaguely Australian antics I don't know how I would've gotten to this new year. Thank you James and Maso!
Sorta forgot about this channel for the longest time and thought they stopped uploading cause UA-cam decided to remove me from the notification list. Thank you you wonderful company.
yooo 2020 was pretty shit but it's 2021 and I'm drunk alone at 5:30 AM listening to a new episode of the flagship podcast of the planet broadcasting network, the weekly planet. Keep it up James, Maso? Maseua? Spelling on that has always eluded me. Lets just go with Nick. I've been listening since 2017 and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
I actually really loved Tenet. I know that the immediate response to that is "He must just be a Nolan-stan want to be intellectual", but I genuinely just enjoyed the movie.
Hey we aren't alone despite all the conspiracy theorists and selfish people, there are still many Americans who do take it seriously. It's just a shame it's not more of us.
DAGNAMMIT! I accidentally spoiled Palm Springs for myself while trying to find out where I can legally watch it in the UK. Obviously I'm holding James and Maso responsible for this because of their recommendation. Also, I still don't know where to watch Palm Springs.
Really kinda stings that Hilda wasn't even an option for best TV. I guess it doesn't help that it came out super late into the year. Also, you guys and I absolutely need to play Hades.
Dune and The Batman were amazing trailers, BUT nobody caught me completely off guard because I wasn't expecting it and randomly popped up on my feed, then I yelled fuck yea! Lol
I didn't know there was a second christmas chronicle! the first one was filmed 2 seconds from my workplace it was a nice surprise and honeslty the movie was pleasant too
Pedro Pascal's hair should get points for it being part of his story. When they flashback to his childhood, it's black, like his son's. He bleached his hair and changed his last name because he's acutely insecure and ashamed of himself. Plays into the lies v truth theme.
I feel like a terd in the wind because I love the podcast and movies and the award for best hair but I always feel like I have to chime in to correct something. The kid from Love and Monsters Dylan O’Brien was in the Maze Runner not Hunger Games. Sorry for correcting you guys, I really love the show I just can’t help myself.
Although I think it's hilarious that you keep referencing Moff Giddeons master plan was "I'm in this room", you are underselling his master plan. He knew if his Dark Trooper plan were to fail, he would need to have something in place to mess with his enemies, and being in the room with Mando instead of Bo-Katan is a master stroke in that regard. On another note, I watched The Usual Suspects the other night, and never realized that Giancarlo Esposito was in that movie too.
I usually listen on Spotify but have started to here because I assume it sends them more money than Spotify. Does anyone know if that's true? Like, Spotify is notorious for not paying artists, so I assume it's the same for podcasts, but I don't actually know.
Just watched 'Birds Of Prey' yesterday. Yeah, it's pretty good. Waited so long to watch it because of the general hate on it from most but those folks clearly just want to hate on it. I really don't like the character Harlequin but she grew on me here. The movie set out to tell a story and told it. Good waste of my time. :) Immensely better than WW84.
Just want to say... you were incorrect about your assumption about that Mando spoiler. I have two episodes left because it's been a busy year. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
I can't believe people didn't like tenet I had honestly forgotten and relistening to this I was shocked all over again. I found inception kind of boring it was basically 6 hours of exposition delivered without a hair of style and tenet was action and suspense and the soundtrack was amazing and the core idea was so interesting and it's kind of got me fucked that people were disappointed by it. I guess I understand the sound complaints although I sort of understood that it was a stylistic choice and it didn't bother me. I guess some movies people just aren't onboard but I was for sure onboard with this one. I think I watched it three days in a row and I don't ever do that with movies
The bad guy who kidnapped Danny Glover's daughter, his spirit went into the bomb under the toilet, and is back now. (The bulldozer Jett Li spirit monster is a good guy, on their side now.) 👍
@@DangerDave-e7u More Hair talk? The Trailers Ahoy Theme being played whenever there is a Trailer? What about the return of James Catchphrase... you know the one I'm talking about.
Best Villain: calling an Irish actor British and deliberately mispronouncing Domhnall Gleeson. I know the low hanging fruit they've got here, but I'm still gonna whine about it anyway. ;) Please stop.
Id like to confirm Shaun the sheep is in the Wallace and gromit universe. His origin is in fact in a Wallace and gromit movie They r even the ones who name him Shaun

Thanks for keeping me entertained during a horrible 2020, I'm in tears of laughter and I'm only six minutes in!
Cheers to the weekly planet for getting me through 2020! Without their vaguely Australian antics I don't know how I would've gotten to this new year. Thank you James and Maso!
Tom Hardy Bond would 100% do a podcast.
Enjoy ya time off folks! Been listening for years now, appreciate all you do. Stay classy, San Diego.
Cheers mate!

Glad you’re back!
With my country deciding to go into another full lockdown again today I needed this. Thanks James & Maso!

Its 'Maso'. Hope 2021 is good to you
They're Australian so it's Maso
54:10 Shaun the Sheep made his debut in Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave.
I love Lethal Weapon 4, it's my favorite in the franchise. That final fight scene in the rain vs Jet Li is just awesome.
I feel like I 100% agree about moth Gideon.
I wanna see him do mroe though he’s not the best villain and could be way more compelling
watching this in 2023 "at least it's damp outside" is SO FUNNY knowing how hard 2021 AND 2022 was... 2023 is ok... just terrifyingly expensive.
I actually really loved Tenet.
I know that the immediate response to that is "He must just be a Nolan-stan want to be intellectual", but I genuinely just enjoyed the movie.
Best Weekly Planet Co-host who likes Anthropomorphic Foxes: I vote for James
I literally saw a guy with the Hawkeye haircut at work over the holidays. I couldn’t believe it. It was the final horrifying thing I saw in 2020.
ngl, just the survey for this podcast is better than most other podcasts.

I can’t believe Joe Gardner in soul wasn’t a contender for best hair
I can't believe Beth Harmon from Queen's Gambit wasn't a contender - hair so fantastic it survives a mental breakdown unscathed!

Loved Birds of Prey, saw it multiple times in the theatre. (I was living down the St from a great theatre at the time)
54:25 You should make a reverse "Mason hates Disney" caravan of garbage, but it's Maso showing you Ghibli movies.

I wish they’d reboot Eragon. They can honestly bring back the old actors idgaf
I loved Call of the Wild and thought it was really underrated. Visuals were incredible.
I’m always stunned that there were movies in 2020 apart from The Snyder Cut.
Best villain - Ewan Mcgregor as Black Mask was great
Shaun the Sheep is a character in the Wallace & Gromit episode, "A close shave".
CINEMA ITSELF IS A LIVING THING!
I thought Jack Sparrow House was real until right now 😂😂😂

Caravan of garbage idea: Before Godzolla vs Kong comes out they should watch the original King Kong vs Godzilla movie.
Shawn the sheep is literally from a Wallace and Gromit movie LOL
Jack sparrow house?! Hahaha hilarious 🤣
God I fucking love this podcast.
There was some great shows but I’m gonna say Ted Lasso is my favorite because the planet really needed that show
Immortal Hulk should be on the list. It's an amazing read
Wallace and gromit and shaun the sheep are in the same universe, they even had a crossover special.
Top 2 podcasts of all time...

Mason called WW84 WW85 and James didn't point it out, but maybe I just slipped into a alternate reality somehow?
