Damn, never thought I'd hear Bananaman, Bangers and Mash, Jimbo and the Jetset and Defenders of the Earth all in one podcast. This is the ultimate podcast. You get one like.
This is the first time I've listened to your podcast and I've been watching your videos for forty years. So I've finally taken our relationship to the next level. I hope you were ready.
Being a Doctor Who fan who listens to this is always a fun experience, it'd be like how I imagine football fans would feel if I started doing sports commentary.
I listened to half of the podcast on spotify, and now I'm gonna listen to the other half on youtube to support you guys on two platforms. Now I'm commenting to appease the algorithm. I'M DOING MY PART!
I really, really want a WWII era Wonder Woman movie, featuring Sgt. Rock, Captain Storm and Johnny Cloud. Land, sea and air. Greek Gods vs Norse Gods. And then The Haunted Tank rolls up! I nerd-out about DC War Comics from the Go-Go Check era.
"Sapphire and Steel" needs rebooting/honouring. Bought the box set a few years ago. It was exactly as weird and creepy as I remembered. Bought a copy for my younger brother. "It's shit!" he said. I was gutted, as I genuinely rate his opionion. But he's in the attic now. Fish heads for tea!
I mean season 11 has lots of new villains for dr who and none of them were good so... 🤷♂️ I mean I like the idea but 🙄ye... Weeping angels and the silence were great villains, the family of blood, the clockwork robots and the vashtanarader (or however you spell it) I love too from the newer series listen and midnight have great villains that we don’t see and I know they’re not new but I rly like all the episodes with the zygons so maybe bring them back too.
I couldn't name any of the new monsters from the past 2 seasons other than Tzim Sha from Jodie's first episode. I remember the monsters from Orphan 55 being pretty neat (the rest of the episode not so much.) Davies and Moffat made so many interesting new monsters in New Who like Weeping Angels, the Ood or Silence (I could go on for a good bit.) Chibbers doesn't seem to have as good an eye for new monsters. Big Spiders and birds don't really make as big an impact.
Holy Moly 44:00 you guys mention not only Flaming Carrot (my absolute fave comic!) but also Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew!?!?!?!? Damn you guys are cool. What's next, E-Man? Get out of then move back to town! Official forever fanboy AF.
@@Drawnartist Speedster in general have got the short end of the stick when it comes to their live-action counterparts. I just don't have high hopes to be honest.
I would love to see Hollywood reboot JUMPER, apparently it was supposed to be a 7 part series following the books? I loved the movie as a kid despite its flaws. I would love if they made another teleporter film done well.
Everyone should go watch the Godzilla series on Netflix Everyone whose reviews I've seen seems to hate it but I loved it and the ending made me do a cry
Armie Hammer can't play John McClane. John is an "every man". Not a 6' 4" mass of muscle. The point of the movie was "what happens if a regular dude gets in the shit?"

I would like to see a gallifreyan villain who is a survivor of the time war.He would not be like the master , he would want to rebuild his species and civilization,he is not evil but has to do some terrible things to do it. My idea is that he would see humans as the perfect species as both are very similer and will slowly create hybrid children with them through generations and will influence earth by giving them advance technology and knowledge so that they are similer to gallifrey (though he could imprint it in their genetics too) , he would be such a good idea of a villain as he would bring a fresh new villain who would first be his companion since doctor does not have gallifreyan companions(not that I have seen or heard of) then to achive his goals play on his insecurities and guilt of wiping out their species and that they are the last ones left and when his plan is reveald he would still try to convince the doctor but he will refuse but he will still emotionally blackmale him by saying things like 'The humans they will leave you they all will eventually but I won't and that we could right this wrong by rebuilding our civilization'. He would make a great villain as he would make the doctor reveal all his insequrities and lonliness and question himself what will he do kill or imprison one of he last members of his spices to protect the timeline of humanity or help him to rebuild his species and civilization on earth , to him it is a win-win for both parties as the gallifreyan civilization is back and the humans get to be the most advance species in the universe.
This is mostly tangential to the bad movies getting good reboots discussion, but every 20 years another Astro Boy show came out and this year nothing happened and I’m depressed.
With the Comanche Predator movie, they probably would have difficulty finding enough actors who speak the language, so I’d say it’s 99.99% chance of it being in English
The other vegan in Scott Pilgrim besides Brie Larson was Brandon Routh - not Thomas Jane, as he played one of the Vegan Police officers. Also, The Dark Tower is too much of a long-winded King property to turn into a movie - maybe a series, but still. The Talisman, on the other hand, which he wrote with Peter Straub, could work as a movie.

Auntie Donna was a great reccomendation, never heard of them before hearing about them here! Gonna do the rewatch with their commentary for sure.
They should do Ready Player One but only hyper obscure references of like failed TV shows that only had 5 or 6 episodes
