Wow. I need this. I'm clueless in his game. After the tutorial & some practice I thought I understood it, but the AI blindsides me every time. I've been looking for a game like this since Balance of Power. maybe I'll finally learn how to play it properly!
On my second game I crushed USA at the 4th turn with 21 victory points in the same conditions (and a bit of luck I admit, last 2 points won on dice roll for space race)
still a little confused by all of this, but still learning, and getting my but handed to me by the AI, now since i'm learning should i play as USA or USSR player?
I think it's good as a newer player to play as the USA, because you can get used to the USSR setting the tempo against you and scope out the ways you can hold the line in the early war and slowly turn the tug of war back in your direction. You can then switch to playing the USSR and know that you have to make the tempo plays and keep the USA on the back foot as much as possible.
@@TheWinningAgenda been also playing a lot of solo games so i can under stand the cards and what not. not sure if that's good, any other suggestions, on what i can do to improve playing?
@@tsukune007 Playing through a good 20-30 games before expecting any results is my best advice I think. Read through strategy primers, think about what you learn from each game, and try to keep improving as you learn the ebb and flow of the game :)
great to hear your analysis for each card in different situations! best twilight struggle channel I've seen so far!
Very good content Jesse! Keep it up
Thank you! :)

Did you consider headlining turn 1 arab-israeli war a viable play (+couping iran hoping to wipe out US from middle east)?

The problem with this game is everyone wants to be the good guys and play the Russian side.
The AI is very weak this game. Constantly wasting influence in North Korea and then attempting a coup there are really terrible moves
