This video reminds me of a quote that impacted me during my recovery...”be the person that you needed when you were younger.” That’s exactly what you are doing!
There isn’t anything on this list that I haven’t done or not done. Increasing mileage and not increasing calories was my number one issue. I still don’t eat “much” before my run but I always load up the day/night before and have some fats and protein the morning of and replenish the entire day. I have NO desire to race or even prep for anything..... but just to run and be able to do it in a way that’s healthy..... this is a great video. Thanks
+1 on the "running at any hour no matter what." Often, getting up at 4am to run means skimping on sleep, and less sleep in the long run means more stress. SLEEP IN (most days)...
Since I started watching your videos a week ago, I have been resting everyday. Haha. I’m going to start back up soon but my training will be like 2-3 times a week. I do hit or bodybuilding and have not lost my period but I have felt a lot of adrenal fatigue the past year. Doing my workouts fasted killed me with high cortisol and I had no idea. Plus calorie restriction.
Sounds like you are making a smart choice. The more you give your body adequate chance to rest between workouts, the more you ensure your health and longevity in your training :)
