Nice sound ! I have a question. I use amplitube 4 and was wondering what it costs to upgrade to amplitube 5 and also if i would loose the amps I bought in amlitube 4 ?
Thank You! Great Question! It depends on a few factors PC or Mac? I bought a bundle (With my AXE I/O Audio Interface , AmpliTube 5 and Max) so I'm not sure about the price of just the upgrade... However, I found this online:
Owners of AmpliTube 4 can upgrade to AmpliTube 5 Full or MAX through the IK online store. To qualify for upgrade pricing, users must:
Have a paid version of the original software registered to their IK account
Log in to their IK user account
Make their purchase as normal
The IK online store will automatically display any upgrade pricing that the user qualifies for. Users may also qualify for upgrade pricing if they purchase other IK software titles, such as MODO BASS instruments, T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb, or software titles that are no longer up-to-date.
Some say that AmpliTube 5 is a substantial upgrade from AmpliTube 4, with a better user interface and added features. However, users may need to adjust levels when transferring projects from AmpliTube 4 to 5, as the microphone levels and placements are different by default.
Users can also transfer presets from AmpliTube 4 to 5. For example, on a Mac, users can:
Go to the home folder, then the documents folder
Find the IK Multimedia folder, then the AmpliTube 4 folder
Go to the Presets folder, then the My Presets folder or wherever the presets are saved
Select the presets to move and copy them to the clipboard
Go back to the documents folder, click on AmpliTube 5, then go into Presets
Create a folder or use an existing one to paste the presets into.
