Just watched the movie. Agatha solves the riddle in two seconds, they reveal everything immediately including the school master, Sofie is actually not evil and when she is evil it's because of Rafal whispering in her ear, and Agatha shows romantic interest in Tedros. They cut many scenes, and only punish Sofie not Agatha.
Movie Review: Mannnn...they changed the plot in the movie a lot and then they skipped out on so many scenes/ chapters I was looking forward to. For example they skipped the pumpkin scene, that was literally the reason why Tedrose chose Sofie, but no they skipped that part, which in turn made Tedrose a very shallow character. And then there was the romance of Agatha and Tedrose, which was very non-existent for most of the part. Like they skipped out on the scenes where Agatha and Tedrose are talking, and those scenes were how Agatha knew of Tedrose's actual personality, and honestly I felt like they completely changed Tedrose's personality. And may I add that there was no character development what so ever, cus they rushed everything. Like if they they made it into a series and added in those important scenes that made the book interesting, it would have been so much better. For people who have read the books, you are going be disappointed but for those who haven't read the book or the whole series then I will say that maybe it's not gonna be bad for you. But for me it was a real let down because they skipped the scenes that made the character development. It made Tedrose look very shallow, and Agatha didn't just fall for tedrose with one simple conversation between each other. Sofie didn't just embrace her dark side with a flick of a switch. It was so rushed.
this is.... better than the movie. I purposely watched the movie before re-reading the books (hoping that after 4 years of not reading it could at least blunt me to the pain of poor Netflix adaptations), and was still shocked at how many things they left out. I've been meaning to re-read the book to get a refresher, but this is great! All the drawings are super cute and the narration is very entertaining :D
I remember that book! Saw on display at my schools library during middle school and immediately checked it out due to the pretty cover and cool premise. Finished it in one sitting too. Love-hate relationship with it, had some obvious flaws, but I still look at very fondly.
I saw the film on Netflix...I honestly don't know what to think about it, it's very far from the story of the books (which is very dense I admit) but the film is so rushed. .. The love story between Agatha and Tedros is inconceivable because too fast, the very goal of the friendship between Sophie and Agatha (basically the only sincere one at the beginning of their relationship was Agatha, since Soophie considered Agatha as a "Good deed"), the fact that no one in Gavalon is heard of the school of good and evil except the librarian?? (So child abduction isn't so important after all?) But I all the same like this adaptation for three reasons, The revelation of the true identity of the grand master is... Incredibly brought (even already knowing the outcome, I must admit that it surprised me a bit), The actress who plays Sophie is PERFECT in her role! (She's not trying to imitate Snow White or anything...) and finally even if there remains a secondary character, Hort! Hort is hilarious and each of his appearances makes me smile.
2:16 I love this sphinx cat! Reaper IS important later on in the series, but ya gotta read on to find out why >w< Spoiler alert at the bottom He's King of the Gnomes.
I was reading SGE in middle school and I was obsessed. Now that I'm in college I only now see how insane those books were. They were fun and creative, but had a lot of weird details. I need to re-read them 😂
I absolutely adore school for good and evil I was also really happy when I found out my name was in the blue forest when I first read it (my names cyan btw and my usernames a reference to it lol) and I love how you explain it sm you have good talent I'm coming back for part two plus I love ur artstyle, aaaand I remember reading it for the first time sleeping on the floor of my room (weird I know) and the feeling around me just felt right in place you know! I'm just rambling at this point but great job have a wonderful day :D
14:26 The Blue Forest Challenge For How Appearances Can Be Deceiving. Agatha And Sophie Were Morphed Into Trolls, Tedros Walked Towards Agatha Who Thought She Was Sophie Cause He's Too Stupid To Know The Difference, He Punched Sophie In The Face And Agatha Kicked Him In The Nuts, And Then They Both Threw Him In A 💩 Show! Girl Power! ♀️✊ Definitely Worth It. 😏😂
Yooo! An SGE video??? I need to sleep rn so I'll finish this video tommorrow but wow, its been a while since I read the first book so this will be a great refresher for the movie! Btw? Whats your favorite of the 6 books plus the recent prequel? If I had to chose it would be book 6 but the prequel is a close 2nd.
14:38 I have NO memory of that so when I watched this vid for the first time it caught me off guard and I think I remember spitting out my water 😅. Someone please tell me what chapter this is🙏
I never read the books but I personally think that the series should have stayed as a movie but add more important details that people have claimed that were missing. I mean, imagine splitting all of the books into a season. That's a good 6-7 seasons you're waiting for, praying every other year that Netflix isn't gonna cancel it. I mean, come on, we might not even get the 2nd movie. And they tried to include as much as they can into the first movie. It was 2hrs long! Also, I need opinions. I plan on reading the books but if it's ranges for 9-12, I wouldnt try it. I honestly want it to be described aggressive as it was in the movies. Nothing soft. Is it really worth it??
the amount of effort that must have gone into this is incredible!! Top quality humor, and thank you for gracing the internet with your talent 😌I'm lowkey feeling inspired to reread this series now...
There is so much stuff in this video that made me die laughing THE WOLVES I CANTTTTTT. Your as always is impeccable. When the movies released we should watch it together!

Yes
Do not spoiler people who know nothing lol
I Loved The Book More Than The Movie. The Only Good Thing About The Netflix Movie Was Tedros Being A Little Bit Nicer.
I disliked the movie so much it was so out of canon in my opinion 😵💫
This is a masterpiece i'm so glad im not the only one who sees how crazy the book actually is
Aww, thank you!

Ok no because in the first book Hester had some questionable moments with Agatha like they had so much chemistry
I’m glad that I’m not crazy for reading these books over again bc what the heck

Also the reverse mermaid named Steven does indeed look very dapper
I love how you pronounce Agatha's name, it's sounds more pretty and elegant lol
I Prefer Agatha The Original Way.
I started the book a couple years ago and then the movie came out and I’m like omg!
I remember that book! Saw on display at my schools library during middle school and immediately checked it out due to the pretty cover and cool premise. Finished it in one sitting too. Love-hate relationship with it, had some obvious flaws, but I still look at very fondly.
