This is one of the great forgotten gems of the 1980's.
And no one makes it like this anymore.
So many great bands in the '80s.
One of my favourite songs of all time. Absolute classic. Takes me back to my teenage years in the 1980s, listening obsessively to American rock music.
I remember this song back in 1983 after hearing this tune I went to go by the album at music plus and I listened to it over and over and over I fell in love with this album Billy satellite was the s*** back then, God I miss those days
These dudes were BADASS! Loved this whole album, still listen to it
Rock Candy Records actually released their second album on amazon and their website on CD about 4 years ago. It was also on UA-cam for a while but sadly the whole album got taken down for some reason but you can still find some of the songs off their second album like, “Honesty” (for example) that other channels posted before it got taken down.
I recognize that last name, are you a relative of Monty?
@Shawn Falletti oh ok wow I didn’t know that, thanks for letting me know.
The greatest song no one's ever heard of
So everybody seems to remember Eddie Money's cover of this but I kept coming back to Satellite's version. My life is full of moments that I feel like I missed because my mindset was at the wrong place at the time. So many wonderful things and people yet I took them for granted, pushed them away or didn't enjoy these blessings. Luckily my wife stuck through my idiocy, but this song still reminds me of that.
As much as I loved the late, great Eddie Money, his cover version of "Satisfy Me" (unnecessarily lengthened to "When You Gonna Satisfy Me") actually sucked. He made a long, hot mess of this super-punchy mid-80s Hard Rock classic. The ironic thing is that he did a much better job with their "I Wanna Go Back" than they did themselves. Their version is good but rather flat, whereas his version was punchier and added sax. One thing's for sure though, this original version of "Satisfy Me" should have been a big hit.
Eddie also cover I wanna go back. Crazy.
I remember the day I discovered this album in a used record store in Reno ,Nv in about 1985. Love the whole album. Hard to find
They was my Homies! Don't know how many late nights I partied with Dan Chauncey. Tom Falletti is one of the nicest guys you'll ever know. Dan went on to play lead guitar for 38 Special. When you add those guys to the other musicians that made up the ensemble of the Alameda All-Stars, I had some fantastic years in the 80s and 90s of awesome music! The Alameda All-Stars where the bomb! They used to play a local club on Sunday night and it was what we used to call euphemistically: "Going to Church!"
Hey Pat
I'm from Alameda and used to do a lot of photography for Billy Satalite and the Allstars.
The Hill,Crown and Anchor, Park Street Saloon
I remember this being played on NBC's "Friday Night Videos" more than 35 years ago.
holy shit the guy sounds like joe lynn turner!!
I always thought he sounded like Jon Bon Jovi.
GREAT TUNE IN A GREAT PERIOD IN LIFE !
My favorite song 👍
Good song. I remember this from my youth. Still enjoy it.
Good song, gorgeous models
Gorgeous song good models
the blonde with the white skirt is hot....hmm back to music topics
Official video, I remember seeing it on MTV. Nice “save” by whoever shot the video to provide a black chick (ostensibly for the bassist) right near the end of the song.
I saw that too, quality modeling agency, hot chicks
if you look closer, you should notice, that she's already part of the game during the very first 12 seconds.😊
@@f-tech5497 yep, there she is…
It was a temakey
Did anyone notice there's some hot girls in this video? Nope, me neither.
I saw these guys open for the Starship. It was the day after Kantner left the band and Billy was the better act that night.
