      I started with a curved trainer. Like the ones you see in CSGO. It's a lot heavier and made moving to a normal balisong easier. I had trouble with reverse opens and quick draw at first, so I just worked on one movement at a time. EG: Rotating the knife while letting the bite handle drop, and then just stopping there until I didn't drop the knife while rotating. I didn't worry about getting the blade opened or closed.

    • @jaredf6205
      @jaredf6205 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, especially when it’s going into an open, when it closes I can catch it no problem, but the open bounces. A few things have helped me with that, for one, don’t use too much force when it’s coming to rest on a open. Hold the other handle loosely so it absorbs some of the force and doesn’t transfer it all back into the moving handle. Have it slide along your open fingers so it slows down before getting there, this also gives you a good feel for it’s position and your fingers are primed to grab it.

    • @SevenZeroEleven
      @SevenZeroEleven 3 роки тому

      Depends on your trainer, if it's a cheap one the screws might be a little too tight. I bought a rainbow comb for like 10$ and the bite handle on it was very stiff, couldn't do the Y2k at all. Once I loosened it up a bit both my handles now run smooth

Dropping that bite handle and expecting it to fly up like that on it's own is idiotic. You have to swing the shit out of it and time it.

      doesn't matter. all are going to be equally bad. unfortunately. if you can get your hands on a channel style Benchmade 42 fake that is prolly your best bet. those can be around $40 I believe. but knives under 20 are going to break very easily with a bit of flipping in my experience.
