hi! i’m trying out for softball in my sophomore year of high school with no experience and i’m incredibly nervous, but i have until spring and your videos are helping me understand softball so much better that i think i could stand a chance. thank you!!
This is exactly how my daughter learned to pitch 5 years ago. It is fundamentally sound how you have explained the reach track fire and drive position. Great job, I enjoyed the vid!!!
My 7-year-old daughter is getting into softball this year and I have only ever pitched as a baseball player so I had to learn the stance from this video so I could teach her. Lol thank you
Thank you Meg! I appreciate this new pitching video which shows more of a forearm type of fire vs the hello elbow. Great to have different vids to show different pitching styles.
Hey! I'm a young 12U pitcher, and I like to watch your videos. Even though some of them are old. These kinds of videos help me teach the younger kids on my team. (They put select 3rd-4th graders on the 11-12U so they can know what it's like to leave little league.) This helps me and younger kids. Thank you!
I’ve been doing soft ball for a few years now at this place in my town and I’ve been playing 2nd base and short stop but today was our first game of the season and only one person knew how to pitch on my team and the coach needed someone else to pitch and he looked at me and said “your gonna pitch” and keep in mind I have never been a pitcher before and I haven’t really been practicing a whole lot but I thought I give it a try, because no one could blame me since it was the first game. But after I did do it I felt so embarrassed, but right as I came home I started practicing pitching so if that ever happens again I’ll be ready, and your videos are really helpful.:)
Hey Meg! This video and several other videos really helped me with softball and it's my first time really putting some effort into it. Thank you so much!
This is very helpful! I lost confidence last year as a pitcher because of people on my team, and I just kind of forgot how to do it. My coach recommended you to me me so I could watch! I am most likely going to be lead pitcher tomorrow at my game!
I was always taught to finish up as if you were ready to field, bringing that back foot all the way forward so that you’re not thrown off balance if you get a line drive right back at you.
I like the forearm fire power finish like you portrayed. I know plenty of pitchers finish with their elbow pointing to catcher. Never would throw like that.
I have to show this to my 11 yr old, she has never pitched up until yesterday where they won 6-2 and she pitched the whole game. She did pretty good , it was against a low level team which was perfect given she decide to try pitching the same day
funny enough im kinda a author (too nervous to publish anything lol) but my main characters a softball pitcher this made so much sense thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am coaching GIRLS SOFTBALL ages 8 to 10 this year and it’s my first time! And this video helped me out so much thank you I made my kids watch it and I’m gonna send to the rest of the team lol🎉🎉🎉🎉
This video is so helpful and really fixed my windmill motion 😊 but I have a problem with how I end the pitch. I don’t quite understand how to finish my snap motion and I always end with a tucked form. Do you think you can explain in a bit further detail how you finish with your arm out the way that you did? Awesome video and thank you so much
Hi! Ur videos are really good and I am a beginner pitcher. So basically in my full motion, when I swing my arm back it’s going to the side and not directly back. Do u have any drills for that or how I could fix it? Thanks Meg!
I loved everything until you got to the snap part at the end. Is this a new way or was I just taught different? I am going to be giving a friends daughter pitching lessons and I want to teach her the best way. Can you tell me the reason that you don’t follow through with your right hip to be squared up with your catcher on the snap? I see a lot of girls that she is playing against pitch the way you just showed but none of them had power. I feel like following through with your hips gives you more power.
Loved the vid! Lots of great info! Please get a lapel microphone so we can hear you. I had my device turned all the way up and could barely hear you. It's a shame so much great information, can barely be heard.
I have an 11yo daughter who has started lessons and is still struggling with landing in the power position and getting too much weight on her front foot and not “sitting back” on her back leg allowing her shoulders get over her front foot. Any drills for this? And also is there a way I might could email some video to help this old dad out at home with her?
Great video! Couldn’t really understand the basics but it’s a learning process. I’ve watched many video to help my pitching, I unfortunately couldn’t really understand what u were trying to say.
Hey thanks I'm a gamer but I still play sports im pitcher on my team and IV been struggling lately and this week we are playing a team that's unbeaten (they cheat) at are town so I need to watch and learn again
Hi maam im watching your youtube about softball maam cant i ask something im from the Philippines maam you have a un use glove's of softball because my students no gloves if you have can maam you give to my players please maam
For a video about throwing there's an amazing lack of actual throwing. Sorry for being salty, but I've been invited to a tournament as a player in 1 week, have never played or seen a game before and am running out of time.

My advice for fielding is stay low!! And always be ready
This is exactly how my daughter learned to pitch 5 years ago. It is fundamentally sound how you have explained the reach track fire and drive position. Great job, I enjoyed the vid!!!
I won't forget her freshman year, so much confidence. Her and Stacey had such killer deliveries, love the screw ball style.
My 7-year-old daughter is getting into softball this year and I have only ever pitched as a baseball player so I had to learn the stance from this video so I could teach her. Lol thank you
Pitching is a lot to learn so glad this is helpful! I hope to have more pitching videos soon!

I'm a 12U player for Justin. I am trying to be a pitcher
Best video I’ve found yet! Trying to help my 11yo improve and I don’t know the first darn thing. Thank you!!!

Great video Meg. My 9 year old daughter loves your vids. Thanks.

I’m in the process of getting more of my pitcher friends to make more videos!
@@MegRemSoftball cool!! Thank you for the help 🥰
What do you do if your pitches aren't reaching the catcher? Like they hit the floor before it reaches them?
Sounds like you need to use your legs a lot more!
I can’t wait to pitch, 12u
ME TOO
Ty this helped so much. I'm in 6th grade and I'm trying to become a pitcher
thank you so much! i really want to do softball this is really helpful!!

Try going right next to a wall so you’re forced to stay straight!
@@MegRemSoftball Thank you so much!
Hi, I'm interested in improving my softball coaching. I hope I can use your information to make that happen.
Thanks for the upload.
Keep the vids coming!! T y
this might be stupid but i just started and teaching myself but when i pitch do i have to do that arm swing thing?
im learning how to pitch for a travel team and ive only played outfield and third base😭
You got this!

I think most are teaching the way she is pitching now, if you watch the college World Series you can see most of the girls do it this way
Where did you get this pitching mat & mound? I need one asap for my new pitcher .
Thank you so much this video is so helpful
I'm a 12u player rn and I've played 2 seasons of 10u and fallball is coming up and I want to be a pitcher so this rly hwlped

can you have the ball pointed down at 9:00 instead of pointed up
daz like under throw and u do it when throwing the ball neardistance.. maybe u can check other vids for it
❤
Having trouble getting accuracy and consistency from my pitchers. Non of my girls takes lessons due to financial situations. Any tips.
I’m a pitcher and this is really hard i haven’t pitched like this before
This really helped my child
Why not step a little to the left of the power line, straight towards the catcher? It wld square you up to the plate upon release.
Is that a Marucci store?
This is probably a super silly question, but I cannot figure it out. Do you release the ball with your hand facing backwards or forwards?
Forwards
Great video! Couldn’t really understand the basics but it’s a learning process. I’ve watched many video to help my pitching, I unfortunately couldn’t really understand what u were trying to say.

I’m a baseball pitcher. This will surely fool them.

Sorry for being salty, but I've been invited to a tournament as a player in 1 week, have never played or seen a game before and am running out of time.
It's because it breaks down the mechanics on how to pitch
Bored 🥱
Then move it along girly ✌
