Rebuilding a 68 Ford F-100 [[Old Red Part 4]]

This old 68 F-100 is proving to be a challenge to get back together. On this one I am just trying to keep my head above water. I am going through the electrical and putting the final touches on the motor.
It seems like I spent most of the time staring at a wiring diagram. Since I didn’t take the truck apart. The challenge seems daunting. Thankfully it’s a 68. Therefore the wiring in minimal. After a lot of tracing lines on paper and wires. I now have everything tied in to the motor. As well as the ignition and gauges.
The 390 did not give in with out a fight. Once again my lack of knowledge on this truck showed. With multiple FE motors in parts scattered and mixed together. Figuring out the carburetor linkages was a trip. I probably had five brackets for different throttle cables. After some time trying them all and attempting to figure out the best combination. I settled on one and went with it.
My main goal was to have it ready to drive in this video. Unfortunately it just wasn’t in the cards. I feel like I made good headway, but everything with this rebuild has been time consuming. I am trying to just be happy with any progress is in the right direction. I really hope you enjoy this video. If so, I hope you will follow along with this series!
