    As a black American, it is hard for me to fathom to be part of a nation that is MAJORITY black and the nation not be accomplished. The level of corruption and non-cooperation is disheartening to see as an outsider. As black Americans, our government and other groups actively try to undermine us, yet we persevere. I think most of us expect especially African nations with resources to be major players on the world stage. Its difficult to understand how you can be proud of your nation, but you leave it for ever. We literally will DIE for our rights and for the acknowledgement that we are humans deserving of respect. In our country's Constitution we were counted as three-fifths a person, then we became emancipated, black men gained voting rights, then black women gained voting rights, then we had to and continue to fight against unfair voting tactics. We're just use to fighting and progressing. I guess being descendants of enslaved people, the mentality is different. I don't have any concept of how colonization would wreck a people. As a black Americans, we also have to deal with the duality of being colonizers and benefiting from colonization of others.

    • @SharonAna-hl9ix
      @SharonAna-hl9ix 2 місяці тому +2

      It seems that you have a problem with Africans who go to other countries to live, but yet don't have a problem with other groups of people who do the same. The same way that other groups choose to do that, there are Africans who choose to do so as well. You state that your government is constantly undermining Black Americans. That same government is constantly interfering in the affairs of African countries. Colonisation is under a different guise - neocolonisation. Perhaps you should carry out some research before commenting on things you have little knowledge of.

      You still have much to learn the corruption in Africa is mostly benefiting America and the West many great African leaders were killed with western support, go look up the banana republic then maybe you will understand how America operates. Even in America look at how they present black Americans as violent drug dealers or thugs, look at the rap culture today how its destroying young black Americans so you still need to do much before trying to push a narrative that you are the greatest black people in the world. Lets respect each other and learn.

    • @vallynne2833
      @vallynne2833 2 місяці тому +1

      Where do I start. First, Black Americans are not colonizers of anyone. You can't call yourself a colonizer if you don't initiate it, orchestrate it, control it nor have the power to control the spoils that result.🤔
      Second, if you study history, you'll learn that every time a genuine Black African leader stepped up and tried to control his country's resources to benefit its people, European leaders stage coups, install their puppets and take over the resources again. It's no different from the Black and white people who stood up for equality in the U.S. (e.g., Lincoln, Kennedy, John Brown, Medgar Evers, etc.), they were all neutralized. So you think the continent with massive resources is going to go untouched by the powers that be? If so, you're naive. And what African country has a military to defend itself against the most powerful military in the world? Right! That's why it is what it is. They are in a no-win situation. Where is god?

      Like the rest of us black people all over the world. If anything blacks in America have it better than all other blacks in the world. I know Jamaicans came to the US and was a part of the civil rights fight. Many Jamaicans came here as maids cleaning peoples toilets and taking care of the white people’s children, and worked on garbage trucks. We all learn how to power through our struggles. Nobody has suffered on planet earth more than black people. Look at what they have done to the continent of Africa. Look at how they treat the Africans in Europe just because of the color of their skin. Look at how they treat the soccer players. All blacks are hated. Period, end of story. We need to sympathize with each other. I don’t know exactly where I am from or which tribe because our ancestors here in the US, Europe, North, South, Central America and the Caribbean islands were stripped of our identity and given the last names of our slave owners. This trauma has never been addressed, so when black Americans start cursing us too it hurts deeply. Peace and many blessings. One day by and by we will all know about it because Yeshua is coming back to rescue us from all this evil. That unwise young man is on the wrong side.

The Carribean ones knew of the race riots first hand from their relatives in the U.K.

      Many black people in England came from the Caribbean islands. They were part of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. I don’t like it when black Americans disrespect islanders who were in the belly of the slave ships with them. We were all sold out. We are always crying with black Americans meanwhile they don’t like us. We all don’t know where we came from originally. It hurts when black American's jump on our backs too, and hate us right along with every other nation. Our ancestors were slaves on the sugar, banana, and coffee plantations. People need to read more. Jeeze. That young lady who talked about her grandparents going to England on the Windrush ship is a Jamaican. Those people were descendants of slaves who left the Caribbean on ships to go work and build up England after WWII. We have all been fighting for centuries to get a little morsel of food to eat. Black people all over the world mourn and take to the streets in support of black Americans when something terrible happens. George Floyd was the most recent. We hurt when you hurt. 1562-1595.....John Hawkins, from Plymouth, made three voyages to Sierra Leone and transported 1,200 people to Hispaniola and St Domingue, which are now the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
      1672....The Royal African Company was created in England to manage the slave trade.

    As an African born in America, most of us have no clue about black history of other black countries. We aren’t taught African history nor African American history in school. And, if you are not connected to the African continent, nor have studied the root cause of what happened on the African continent to create what exists today, ignorance prevails. Most AA’s only know the lies the Western media perpetuates. So, forgive the ignorance of most AA’s. Correct with grace. We have to unite. And though the uniting is happening, it takes much work and grace and forgiveness amongst ourselves. When I connected with the continent 14 years ago, it wasn’t easy but I kept pushing to understand. I kept asking questions. I read. I listened. I learned. Now, I’m often told, i know more about African history than a number of continental. And, it has changed my entire world view. I am so grateful to have the experiences I am having and have purchased property and am even preparing my move to repatriate. It’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me. As much as I hate to admit it, but my UK sister is right about the average African American not knowing much about other Black peoples’ struggles. Most of us don’t know about the New Cross bombings, the Suss laws, the race riots of the 60s, 70s and 80s. The don’t know that there was an active chapter of the Black Panthers in the UK. They don’t know who Olaudah Equiano, Michael X, Darcus Howe, and Linton Kwesi Johnson are. It is our adaptation of the backward notion of American exceptionalism that makes us say backward things like that young man. It is far time we learn that as people of African descent, none of us have a padlock on struggle. All of us have dealt with some form of white supremacy. It is the recognition of this salient fact that should give us cause to love and learn from one another so that we can work to build a brighter future for all of our children. Good vlog, Ndagire!

    When we start building on our diversity as a race and recognize what units us, we will be stronger and more respected on every continent we find ourselves . Africans the diaspora are not different than from Africans in the mother land . Social economic problems don't erase the roots ,even though to most in the millennials and Gen Z ,that is a reason to deny that African genes still exist in their DNA despite the centuries in the diaspora. The earlier generations recognized and believed " the fruits cannot despise the roots" . Our old people said best , " a fly when perched on butter thinks himself a butterfly" we know better though every black man on earth has a story to tell . Time to join the English speaking African to the French speaking African to the Spanish speaking African to the Patois speaking African to the African speaking African. We have the know how and we have the resources and we have the space to get back the respect for our race and heritage. It was dismantled for a reason . To continue bashing Africans as running away from their homes to western countries without recognizing that the draining of wealth from African continent continues till todate slave trade was only the beginning , natural resources still flow out and the African nations still getting worst deal of it . Young people are only bringing the problems back to the sender. The repercussions of crippling loans from IMF and World bank haven't made it easy .So you can feign ignorance about alot of facts but facts remain facts.

    Black British and i Live in London. And generally the countryside. I love England. And i live where i Love 😂😂😂😂😂 what im NOT going to do is live in an asian country with all their problems. I could list 25 issues. And starting with their own police brutality. Chinese move to western countries the MOST. Hence the term "chinese tourists" which are EVERYWHERE in popular British locations. So what is he talking about. Is he living in china or filming from the USA? ....

    He’s Black American. My family looks more Asian than him with lighter skin. And we are Black Americans. Other races are very confused with our looks. I believe he was responding to a British black person talking down on us💯💯💯

      If you have to explain that you are "black American" because you are ambiguous looking, due to multigenerational divesting/swirling/gr888ping etc...... then you are obviously delusional and not black. Be proud of who you are.
