glad to see content for Shadow of War is still being put out on UA-cam it's a gem of a game, buggy as it may be sometimes, and is a lot of fun to play.
I just started playing after I beat Mordor about a month ago. I regret not playing it at launch because now that the nemesis forge is shut down there’s no way to import orcs from shadow of Mordor to shadow of war!
One thing i noticed about elven light is that if you set it to fire it wont affect defender grunt orcs at all but if you set it to poison it will poison them.
The only appeal Waters of Lórien has is the fact that it completely ignores vault breaker, which is a trait a lot of captains have and can gain endgame. Its very situational, but it isn’t useless. Great vid btw, love your content.
Great vid! Id like to add something from my own experience with the game: -Shadow dominate is actually very useful, and it is my defaut shadow strike upgrade in siege battle, as it allows you to immediately dominate broken captains (and it even bypass arrow-proof). In my experience trying to dominate a captain during a chaotic battle can be difficult since it take a short while to do it normally, during which time you can be interupted by all shorts of things. Another situation is when you see an already broken captain from a distance, and you want to dominate him. But sometimes the guy was killed while I was trying to get to him. With shadow dominate, the moment you see a broken captain, you can get to him & dominate him immediately, without any fear of interuption. So for shadow strike, outside of siege battle my default is always shadow pull, but during siege my default is always shadow dominate. Completely agree that shadow strike, perhaps my favorite skill from Shadow of Mordor, is totally outshined by the others here. -Waters of Lorien is very useful for bypassing vault breaker, and after you obtain the Nazghul maks that makes it so that this skill does not cost focus (which effectively allows you to use this skill infinitely) it is always my default skill during siege, as it allows me to move across battle very effectively, at no cost whatsoever, and allows me to effortlessly escape tricky situation (by just dashing out of there, aint noone touching my Talion while this skill is on). -The ground finisher punch is useful in 1-on-1 fight against captain, especially those without arrow proof. My usual strategy (which I find most useful when ilfiltrating enemy's fort) is to get to a rooftop, elimiate all the nearby archers, shadow pull the captain, ground punch him to build up might, and then follow up with 1, or 2, executions.
"Waters of Lorien" lets you easily get behind a captain who has vault breaker or a shield and they cannot adapt to it like if you were vaulting over them. Bypasses ologs too. Very useful. Important on non-brutal difficulties where the captains take longer to go down and will have a chance to adapt to your moves.
Shadow dominate is the easiest way to brand a captain in a crowd. Shadow strike chain is also pretty good, especially if you tie it with the mask that increases damage by 33% for every chain. Really the whole tree is good. I used to also use the elements for elven light but recently I've been using the base one because captains can't adapt/aren't immune to it. Plus it looks dope
The Waters Of Lorien skill are very good if u are up against a shielded captain that u can not vault over or if u have the endgame Nazgul mask. ofc if your caracter is decked out it wont matter that u cant vault over captains but the main reson it´s used with the Nazgul mask is that it boost your dmg for a few sec after dashing and the dash no longer cost focus so u can spam it. If your caracter isent op then u can dash past shielded captains that u cant vault over and hit them in the back which sometimes is the only thing u can do to them if there are a lack of grunts in the area to build might.
If you have the perfect counter that boosts your might instead of killing them, you can instantly use the ground dominate skill and its fast enough to not be interrupted 90 percent of the time. Why kill them when you can add them to youre ranks and heal yourself at the same time?
Thanx killa, fyi it's all skills unlocked that gives you 100 prestige( not) 100 skill points to obtain 100 prestige in each. Others then that and the narcissistic vibes. . You were awesome 🎉😊
i use that skill at 6:30 mainly because my build has a maximum of 25% hp ive trained to not get hit. well most of the time, theres always that random grunt that comes out of nowhere but even then its good to have such low hp so u train ur reflexes
I unironicly use eagles earie lol. Maybe it'd be different when I return to the game since I have played more and more third person shooters but I always found moving and shooting awkward in this game during focus and I always get hit if I stay still so eagles earie has always been helpful for being unhittable while shooting. Edit: yes my experience with more third person shooters has helped.
I have every parent skill unlocked by lv.15-19 and at that point I'm usally still in Cirth Ungol and yet to finish they story in Minas Ithil. And then I get one skill bonus for each skill and don't unlock the rest since I choose one skill bonus to add forever. I usually put fire on my elven light, poison for my mighty shot and frost for my elven rage plus with my hammer of erigon bonus with the ice storm ability. It is really effective and I have it so I can kill grunts with a perfect counter. I make no noise running and use half the focus when in bird of prey. I also gain might when hit. And can do two might moves thanks to my bonus on the brutal execution skill. Good for killing captains, warchiefs and overlords alike. I also when I become dark talion get cursed weapons for the grunts I raise with my ultimate ability. I have bright lord's wrath to get hp and wrath from draining foes. I use a mix of fire, poison, frost and bits of curse to take my foes out. The vendetta gear set is good cause if I am low hp and my enemy is to. If I have enough I can finish them. It has saved so much. And I have the ability where I summon a graug good for fighting overlords so I hope you have beast proof ones. And I have the ability to put a trigger on baits and other objects for chaos I love putting it on graug cages same for caragor ones and on graug and caragor bait and many more. I have a good loadout with gear and skill. And a fact if you did not notice the vendetta set is a recolor of ringwraith set. Ringwraith set makes you look badass and ready to kick ass.
Critical hits do more damage, you can trigger them by carefully timing your attacks (x,x,x,x). Button mashing makes it impossible to get a critical strike. In shadow o Mordor they build your combo faster instead of dealing damage.
Bro you should do a video of you using different builds and rating them, it changed up ya content a little plus it’s something new for you to try and engage with subscribers
Killing captains ,defend forts, do sieges , completing the campaign , completing missions, and killing orcs are all the ways you can get xp but, the fastest way to get xp is defending or attacking fortresses
Great guide! Thanks a lot! Just one question: Why make up a new term by calling it 'branch skills'? They already have a name: (Skill) *upgrades.* Just sayin'. ;) On an even less serious note: If you count down _from_ 10, you DID get to 10 - because you _started_ with it. :P
I’ve heard you have to kill dark/machine tribe in death treat missions without musing poison, ice, fire. I just started Doing a lot fo death treats to get the sword, not having it yet tho
i got the wrathgiver sword very quickly by upgrading a regular sword that said you get 9 wrath per kill...once you upgrade the sword the name of the sword will change to wrathgiver....i dont use it though because the best sword in the game is the humiliator....and the best cloak in the game is the ringwraith cloak because it gives you infinite waters of lorien and spectral dash witch makes you nearly invisible to enemies....
I know you want -an orc without elemental weapon -Death threat them -Kill them with a ground execution -Do not use any element against them during the fight I'm not sure what else increases the chances. If anyone else has more information please add one or two points to the list.

But do you have to complete all Shadows of the Past and get a gold achievement? I hate the timed trials. Lol

why add them to your ranks if they're gonna die nearly immediately
