Trail running is better than road work. You have a combo of hill sprints, over speed work, and every rock garden is a foot agility drill. Bonus if you live in a mountain town, higher oxygen capacity via more red blood cells. You'll dominate anybody at sea level.
One day a week at my gym, the boxers have to do 500 situps in unison. It really helps to push people to places they didn't think they could go. Also, stretching is very important, especially for people just starting or if you're taking time off between training sessions. If you don't stretch your calves very well and you don't have shins that are used to heavy work, you will be much more prone to shin splints. I know that from experience, as I was sidelines for two months because of my shins. Coach didn't want me to develop a stress fracture in my shin (I had literally just recovered from one in my foot) and that's exactly what will happen if you just try to "push through" shin splints and neglect the proper recovery period. If you are someone who struggles with shin splints, learn the Chinese technique breaking up the scar tissue either called Gua Sha or Gua Shan, that is the only way I'm still training today without massive damage to my shins and it's very easy to do.
I've done some circuit training for muay thai. Power, strength and ability not easy but my strength and fitness level went up. Kind of like cross fit style but for fighters and muaythai.

On stretching in muay thai I would say it's less needed in muay thai largely because knock outs and pain plays a huge role in deciding the winner in the sport. Where literally one of the go to strats is to just kick your opponents leg until they can't walk on it anymore. For this reason it creates a meta where the round house is the king go to kick. Be it a low round house to the calves/thighs or a high knock out round house to the head. Because the round house needs probably the least amount of flexibility in comparison to all the other kicks that you see in TKD or Karate or old school muay thai, you can get away with not knowing any other kick besides a good solid round house in muay thai. So for this reason flexibility is not as much a game breaking concern as it is in other popular martial art sports like TKD/Karate/Wushu All though if you want to transition into MMA, flexibility will be a huge advantage for when you grapple, so you will see MMA and BJJ guys put a lot more focus in flexibility than muay thai guys. TLDR If all you care about is Muay Thai, the basic core stretches is all you need, if you want to transition into MMA, you will need stretching
Always, always, the quality of the training over the quantity, not necessarily more (repetitions, series, time, weight, etc.) is better. That's what bodybuilders are for but not the fighters!.
Pffft running skip ropping, I suggest hiking, hiking super inclined mountains is da ultimate training it helped me weightloss, unexpectedly it had other benefits, like my gains and recovery had spiked, my sprints became stronger, and I was more energized going 2 work
The music of the Muay Thai fight It is the sound that is simulated from the sound of music that stirs up soldiers on the battlefield during the sword era. Muay Thai warriors are always at the forefront and face the enemy first with two-handed swords. When a white man sells a gun to us Muay Thai with their swords became a sport. The white man's guns changed the battlefield.
@@bestofhalo9796 yeah what I was thinking, but they turned it into a weapon. Kinda how German and foreign scientists in America invented nuclear energy and the Americans turned it into a bomb

My biggest problem is that im always sore when doing alot of strength training combined with muay thai. When im for example training chest and shoulders at the gym then the next day going to muay thai training i can barely keep my guard up for 30 minutes. It feels like I have to chose between muay thai and the gym alot.
Train less the day before and more often during the week instead. for example i have been working out 2-3 times per week, always full body workout with only one exercise per muscle group. 1 day 3 sets of benchpress, squats, pullups and dips; day 2 you do 3 sets of benchpress deadlift pullups and overhead press. You can add arm and core exercises. That way you wont be lacking energy in the muay thai training. But youll see, that you will still make progress in the gym. if you feel like you can do more, add a set here and there, but only step by step.
Running builds strength in your legs so far as they are used for running. Which is not really strength at all, but rather it is endurance. Long slow runs should not be used to “strengthen” the legs, but for baseline cardiovascular endurance.
My coach reffers to it as “standing bar push”. Really good for preparing you for multiple strike throws. Make sure you hop in place while in a stance while you do it, helps me telemark the punching mechanics.

@@user-nk8zx1yw8s because there´s a big difference between running on asphalt and running on a track or in the woods. On asphalt, you put a lot of stress and pressure on your knees and for someone with weak knees or bad shoes it can definitely f them up. Running in the woods however, or even on a track, you remove a lot of that stress and pressure minimizing the possibility of injury. Running in the woods will also challenge the muscles around your ankles in a positive manner, making them stronger without as much risk of injuring the knees.

Afternoon nap very important as well before afternoon training.

The thumbnail 🔥🔥💯💯
I concentrate on strength and speed training, I would want to learn more from you because I want to take part in competitions
Please make video on how to get flexible as muat thai beginner stretching etc
I train to really use my muscles. Even though people with muscluar builds have problems fitting In like me. I train to do what normal people don't.
Preach
I train for speed and power

very informative video...thanks for sharing👏🎯
What do they take or do to heal their bones , joints and ligaments
Pec deck flies (Go stric. go slow, and go hard) Dips, front shoulder press, and several sets of squats, 80% full but less weight and 4 sets of 15.. and my fav was on the 60 deg board, Incline alternate dumbell presses. Never did a ton of roadwork, but wore out more than one skiprope
So for this reason flexibility is not as much a game breaking concern as it is in other popular martial art sports like TKD/Karate/Wushu
All though if you want to transition into MMA, flexibility will be a huge advantage for when you grapple, so you will see MMA and BJJ guys put a lot more focus in flexibility than muay thai guys.
TLDR
If all you care about is Muay Thai, the basic core stretches is all you need, if you want to transition into MMA, you will need stretching
Always, always, the quality of the training over the quantity, not necessarily more (repetitions, series, time, weight, etc.) is better. That's what bodybuilders are for but not the fighters!.
Absolutely stretch before AND after workouts, it significantly reduces knots, cramps & soreness
I practice muay thai 🙌 and love it
Yehhh!
I don't know why?but I think muay Thai player's are one of the strongest martial artist on earth.
Sir, kindly make one video on food and diet too... Thnks...
Pffft running skip ropping,
I suggest hiking, hiking super inclined mountains is da ultimate training it helped me weightloss, unexpectedly it had other benefits, like my gains and recovery had spiked, my sprints became stronger, and I was more energized going 2 work
So because something works for you, doesn’t mean it discredits other activities.
Thanks for uploading this video 😊
The music of the Muay Thai fight It is the sound that is simulated from the sound of music that stirs up soldiers on the battlefield during the sword era. Muay Thai warriors are always at the forefront and face the enemy first with two-handed swords. When a white man sells a gun to us Muay Thai with their swords became a sport. The white man's guns changed the battlefield.
Chinese invented gun powder
@@bestofhalo9796 and y'all refined it
@@bestofhalo9796 yeah what I was thinking, but they turned it into a weapon. Kinda how German and foreign scientists in America invented nuclear energy and the Americans turned it into a bomb
@@kungpowsesame8260 yeah, I added to it
@@bestofhalo9796 That’s technically wrong. While it was invented in China at some point, it was also invented in several other places. The gun powder invented in China is not the gunpowder that the Europeans first found out about and used.
My biggest problem is that im always sore when doing alot of strength training combined with muay thai. When im for example training chest and shoulders at the gym then the next day going to muay thai training i can barely keep my guard up for 30 minutes. It feels like I have to chose between muay thai and the gym alot.
Use zinc and magnesium
Train less the day before and more often during the week instead. for example i have been working out 2-3 times per week, always full body workout with only one exercise per muscle group. 1 day 3 sets of benchpress, squats, pullups and dips; day 2 you do 3 sets of benchpress deadlift pullups and overhead press. You can add arm and core exercises. That way you wont be lacking energy in the muay thai training. But youll see, that you will still make progress in the gym. if you feel like you can do more, add a set here and there, but only step by step.
thanks for the tips
Maybe lighter weight and more reps? I also don't train Mauy Thai after a leg day
I feel you bro I do boxing my shoulders are finished after training
What a master of his craft.
my Training program, stretching, regular exercise. then Striking, Blocking, Kicking. then equipments. and the most important part, Sparring..
I trains from 16 to 27 it's easy to wear yourself out but well worth it keep it real
This was very helpful information
Running builds strength in your legs so far as they are used for running. Which is not really strength at all, but rather it is endurance. Long slow runs should not be used to “strengthen” the legs, but for baseline cardiovascular endurance.
nice video Thanks a lot !!! Lot's of details !!! 😃😃😃🌸🌸🌸
Thanks for the vid. 🙏🏼
I love this coach. Easy to understand
do you know what the running pace is? thanks

What’s the exercise when you push the bar out quickly from your chest while standing?
My coach reffers to it as “standing bar push”. Really good for preparing you for multiple strike throws. Make sure you hop in place while in a stance while you do it, helps me telemark the punching mechanics.
Nice traning intres video 💪

Depends on what youre running on.
@@Jonas-nc5os how so?
@@user-nk8zx1yw8s because there´s a big difference between running on asphalt and running on a track or in the woods. On asphalt, you put a lot of stress and pressure on your knees and for someone with weak knees or bad shoes it can definitely f them up. Running in the woods however, or even on a track, you remove a lot of that stress and pressure minimizing the possibility of injury. Running in the woods will also challenge the muscles around your ankles in a positive manner, making them stronger without as much risk of injuring the knees.
Hello, nice video. So I remember kicking a heavy bag for a little I was really pushing myself and then I was wearing out my knee unknowingly and I kept hitting the bag but then the workout had to be done since ma knee was like no bro. Almost 2 months later it still doesn’t feel like I can go and do kicks how long do you think this will take to heal.
You have to get a medical evaluation. Then, follow that advice and physical therapy.
Go to PT or you'll fuck up your knee forever
My coach says that lack of pivoting on the foot when you kick wears out your knees.
@@forrestgumball thanks for the comment havent done pt in a while they dont hurt as much as they used to but they are def. not as strong as they used to be without not working out and living a un active life. its very saddening. it was my own fault.
@@vanessasantos-nila4127 yea i was doing a lot of wrong steps, was focused more in getting a workout and it has injured me to point where i think i wont be the same anymore so that really is sad. i dont workout as much as i used to so when the weather changes my knees feel cold or like a loss of blood circulation or something.truly disappointed in myself. but lessons learned!!!!!! didnt know it would be like this.
I have a lot of exercises that I'm not revealing, but I'll add these

Awesome video
I love Muay Thai, I started training when I was 12, my punch was so strong that I was able to break a concert block in one simple punch, but now I gave up everything for a girl she leave me, I was so sad and broke inside.. Now I don't have that kind of power.. but I want to be strong again I need someone who can give me inspiration to built myself.. 😢😢😢
Don't let other people decide over your life . If Muay Thai makes you happy, start practicing it again. It will be worth the hard work. U may have lost the girl but thats exactly where you wanna start working on yourself again. To make yourself happy even without others 🤝
The ring and bags are calling you brother, the time has come
very sadnes
I see you have lost your way brother maybe wake up one day and don’t do the stuff you was doing and was thinking be the one you are and god wants
