Oh my gosh! Her garden is as extraordinary as she is. Special thanks to Fionuala for being so gracious. I am so happy she has decided to have her own channel.
Fionuala’s garden is the best example of how nature does not need our help. Flowers and plants find a way and we are blessed to be a part of all of it. She has become the steward of this place and you can see how it rewards her by feeding her soul. Thank you Janey for taking us to this peaceful garden this morning.
When Fionuala stated that the “ gardener is part of the garden” a light bulb went on! Thank you so much Fionuala and Janey, the garden was like a stroll through a child’s fairytale! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I must say, Janey, you have an absolute GIFT of wonder and for finding and connecting with the most interesting people! Love it!💚 Geranium maderense--total zone envy! :)
Thank you so much for showing us this garden! The giant geraniums are incredible and hold special meaning for me because they are from the islands my maternal ancestors came from. It made me so happy to see them.
Fairytale land, that's all I can say - utterly heavenly - it just seems to glow! When the full panoramic view came through the camera lens as you were going up the steps into the upper garden, it took my breath away! It appeared as if the maderense were floating in the air! I love that Fionuala just lets the plants be free and seed where they may, and evolve into something unexpected. Thank you for sharing, Janey, and Fionuala!
I have been blessed today by seeing Fionuala's peaceful and creative gardens. It seems that the garden has created its magical self with Fionuala's joyful spirit inspiring it! Thank you to you both!
There are no words for this garden! 💚 🌹 It is definitely a wonder of plant life. I can feel the peacefulness of it through this video and to be there must be unbelievable!
I love Cottage Gardens of Petaluma. If you're in Sonoma County, I definitely recommend the Sonoma Horticultural Nursery in Sebastopol. They have an amazing collection of Rhododendrons! They may be in bloom now! Also CalFlora Nursery in Fulton for California native plants!
I've just watched two of your garden tours. This one which feels like it should be in the first Jurassic Park movie (so gorgeous and large and mind blowing ... and the woman's garden with Poppies in her name. I was so impressed by how unbelievably her color usage was!! I never put all those colors together, but I might give it a try. Thank you for the eye candy for us gardeners!
I just had to watch this again. I love her garden. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland kind of garden. ❤ It makes me so happy! I've shared it with a bunch of friends already. I'm in a group of about 35 women on What's app, and everyone loved it and a family group of 6. When I first saw it, I was like, you wanting scream in awe. 😊
Fionuala has such a magical place. Thank you Janey for showering us with magic! I would love both of you to grow some Aussie natives like grevillea which thrive in a range of conditions and bring so much interest and colour into a garden.
Soil may be too heavy for Aussie natives as they thrive in sandy soils. In SF, I grow grevilleas, anigozanthos, parahebes, correas, lomandras, cotinus, acacia "Cousin Itt" and more, in sandy loam.
I find, in part, that where self sown plants end up is a study of how water flows on your property, or which direction the prevailing wind blows (considering various seed dispersal methods). Thanks for sharing her garden with us. Its a real treasure and obviously well loved!
Those geraniums are gorgeous. I tend to buy one of every plant I love, but my garden can look messy at times. I try to plant in drifts, but plant costs have really risen these past few years. I am a Lowe’s clearance plant girl 😂.The amount of geraniums throughout the large garden really ties everything together. That garden took years of time and effort to cultivate. Her garden is simply stunning ❤❤❤❤
Oh my goodness!!!! I live in California, but all my Portuguese ancesters came from the Medeira islands. My mothers last name was Medeiros... so all these plants from that area are now on my wish list. The self seeding purple geraniums are incredible!!! What a magical garden! Thank you so much for sharing. Beautiful gardener as well.
Fionuala thank you for sharing your garden with us🌱 The love and nurturing can be seen in every corner. I love what you said about lilacs. If you really want a plant to grow it knows it 💐
My dear this is the best of your video journey. Perfect dialogue, advice, inspirational, joyful ‘fairy’ spirit. Thank you for introducing me to such beautiful and exotic plants. Now I want to go visit Madeira. ❤🌱🌞
Beautiful Garden!! Fionuala's garden is my dream garden. I love the towering plants to make you feel a childlike joy to explore. Love the paths and alcoves to enjoy it all. I don't think I could achieve that in my garden but I am currently trying to figure out how. Such beautiful inspiration!
Such a magical garden Fionuala has! Thank you Janey for taking us with you to experience such a beautiful space! I LOVE seeing other people's gardens, big or small it always gives me joy and inspiration.
I just ordered my Geranium maderense from Annies Annuals...looking forward to planting it in my zone 10b. Thanks for the inspiration and highlighting plants that I did not know about.
Gorgeous! Excited to have another beautiful channel to watch during my treadmill time. I love anything that self seeds! Thanks for sharing your gardens with us.
🌿💗🤣 My mind has been blown! In fact, I feel as though this video is some type of hallucination or one of my vivid dreams. 😂 Unreal. This has expanded my very late garden plan for the season. I've been liberated. 💗🌿
That was simply Amazing !! Thank you so much for this garden tour 💜🍃 Janey .. I can hear your mind thinking .. ok where can I do this on my property ? lol 🌿
Wow… her garden is beautiful and magical!! She’s isn’t your ordinary gardener and so soft spoken! She has a kind soul and you picked the perfect title for this tour. So inspirational! 🌸🦋💕

What an amazing garden.!! And it's so fun to see the spots the plants picked for themselves, they seem to always know best. Even a weed picks to be by a flower that it resembles itself. So looking forward to the next visit. Thanks Fionuala for sharing.!
Hey Janie. Love Love Love this garden tour!!!!! Tell us the large colorful varieties of the nicontinas that Fionuala's has in her garden. This why I loved living in Sonoma County. This is a gardener's heaven. If allowed please revisit F.'s garden again. I hope you will plant some of her large cultivars in your garden. I miss my former country home in Sebastopol,Ca!!! Thank you two for this amazing video! Michael Y.
I love how eclectic her garden is yet flows so well. I gave up on my freesia and threw it in the compost pile and apparently it was happy there cause it’s blooming 🤣 Do these geraniums smell like geraniums?? I have a problem with the way geraniums smell lol I could drink an entire pot of coffee in that spot 😊 we have a lilac tree in our driveway and I love catching that fragrance! The butterflies are going crazy for it! I counted 11 butterflies on it the other day 🦋
Well, I’ll be growing Gigantic Geranium now. Ordered from Annie’s. It’ll be a zone push here in 8b, but I do the same with lilac. Fionuala is one of those special people. Very, very interesting lady.
Lilac tree here in zone 10a So Cal on my new property. I talked to the tree the first year we moved in. I told her if she doesn’t bloom well, she’s a goner. It worked. 😂
I live in zone 10 on the central coast of California and I have 2 lilac bushes that I brought up from LA 40 years ago and they have bloom every year. What a amazing and Beautiful garden on your visit with Fionuala 🧡🧡🌻what a treat

This lady and her garden should be in Garden Gate magazine! So natural and beautiful!
Her garden is lovely. It doesn’t look contrived. The randomness of it is what makes it look like fairies planted it.
Fionuala’s garden shows the best of nature. Her soul is definitely in her peaceful place. I hope you go back to show how it changes in another season.
When Fionuala stated that the “ gardener is part of the garden” a light bulb went on! Thank you so much Fionuala and Janey, the garden was like a stroll through a child’s fairytale! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I can’t even imagine the garden has a free flowing relaxing feeling . It feels like her personality, calm, and easy-going. It’s incredible.
Now I want to see her flower arrangements! She is a true master gardener. So glad you encouraged her to start her own channel!
I must say, Janey, you have an absolute GIFT of wonder and for finding and connecting with the most interesting people! Love it!💚 Geranium maderense--total zone envy! :)
Fionuala's garden is after my own heart. A true plant collector/gardener. Wild and Wonderful. Letting the plants dictate the garden, not the human.
Fionuala is like a docent to a natural landmark, her passion, love, and respect for her garden space is so evident.
I love how she just lets plants be.
Now that's what I call a garden tour. WOW. Fenula is an artist.
Wow...Alice in Wonderland garden...pure magic.
Fionuala is so calming and zen. I enjoy her energy.
I totally agree!
I think this is the best garden I have ever seen.
She has the most magical secret garden I have ever seen! So beautiful and natural
Wow, Wow, WOW!! I've never seen anything like it. Such tranquil beauty and a peaceful setting. Heaven on earth ❤
I'm sure your neighbors appreciate your concern about beautifying all your new vacant land you'll have recently purchased.
It's going to look amazing!
I have never seen Gerenisms like this. Absolutely georgous. Extraordinary garden..
I think Petaluma is known for having fabulous soil for gardening.
Thank you so much for showing us this garden! The giant geraniums are incredible and hold special meaning for me because they are from the islands my maternal ancestors came from. It made me so happy to see them.

Alice in Wonderland Garden! Very similar to many San Francisco woodland gardens...especially the geranium maderense and the aeoniums.
I find, in part, that where self sown plants end up is a study of how water flows on your property, or which direction the prevailing wind blows (considering various seed dispersal methods). Thanks for sharing her garden with us. Its a real treasure and obviously well loved!
