New 45 degree hinged lid design to prevent reaching over the hot fire and no more handling of the lid.
Upgraded 22,000 BTU/hr. dual zone burner system for direct and indirect grilling
346 sq in grilling surface with option griddle and pizza stone kit. Good for over 12 burgers at once.
New easy to clean drop through residue removal system allows for grease to drop straight through to the residue tray.
500F in just 5 minutes and temps up to 650F overall.
Perfect clasp door close system with hinged propane tank storage door to prevent rattles.

Years ago we had a robot like grill! Made by Buddy L ! Our neighbors (both side) got one also! Finally we couldn’t get extra parts so had to get different kind! Miss my Buddy L! Enjoy

Loved the sand box. When we were young we had a sandbox/swiming pool. When the weather was no swim worthy it was a sandbox and when the heat came in summer we had a swimming pool. It was made with wooden little v shaped seats in the corners and the bottom lining and sides were heavy heavy canvas which held the water in summer and the sand during the non swimming months. That was great until one day we filled it with water and the next day water was gone.......dad said a small critter bit a pinhole in it. We were destroyed! LOL I guess it didn't take much to break our spirit in those days......four little kids about 1951. LOL Those were the days! "Happy Days".............LOL
Love the sandbox and love that you set it up high enough for them to stand and play with their trucks and toys, I am thinking it will cut down on the sand coming into the house in socks and shoes and pockets........LOL Good job mom and dad!!!!
Love the grill, nice clean and cool looking as well! Let us know how it works and a new grill always makes the food taste better I think. It's a rule isn't it? ;-) Happy for you and it sounds like your projects are growing and you will sure enjoy an outdoor space large enough to chill and relax in the cool of the evenings or in nicer weather on those lazy days! Kudos on that ............it lifts our spirits to get a new project to help improve our spaces! Enjoy it and just wondering who the grill cook is? Both hubby and I do cook on ours, but I'd just as soon let him as I have enough meals in all these years to do on the stove, so I graciously love it when he is the bbq master!!

When is dinner? The sandbox is a good deal for the boys to run their Tonka toys through the sand. Can't wait to see the finished outdoor kitchen.
You should always open the lid to a gas grill before you light it. If it so happened not to light on the first push you stand the chance that gas will build up and explode, blowing the lid open and shooting flames that will singe your eyebrows off. I should know, it happened to my husband. 😂
The sandbox is a great outdoor setup for your boys. 👍❤️ Absolutely love it 😊

I love how healthy and strong your kids are, zipping around out of sight of the camera , but a definite presence.
Makes me want to be a kid again - pizza from the grill (that looks like a robot) and an awesome sandbox both made with love.
Both are very cool. If you have any kitties that wander around the neighborhood, you might want to put a cover on the sandbox. Kitties will go potty in it and you don't want that.

That’s a cool looking grill! I commend you on your “Star Wars” choice! 👍👍😁It will be the talk of any gathering. Angela, I think it’s a world wide man understanding that you must NOT read the rules before putting something together. That will never change!😂 My husband likes to quote Red Green “ I’m a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess”. I tell him the only thing that’s true in that sentence is “ I’m a man”! 🤣🤣🤣 Another great craft project by Sam! I’m sure your boys are going to enjoy the raised sand table. 👍😁🇨🇦

Good luck with the new grill
I didn't have a grill for a long time and then a friend gave me his old grill that needed some repairs. I fixed it up and used it most of that summer and the next. That second summer, a neighbor gave me his old grill that was rusting apart. I did some repairs on it and got it working now too. It is a huge grill. I have a small video of it on my channel showing the repairing. I didn't show doing the actual work, only after doing the different steps of the repair. (I don't have a tripod or anything to hold the camera while doing the work.) I ordered a few replacement parts and then using the flux core wire welder, I made my own repairs on a part that cost too much to buy and just replace.
That grill looks awesome. I have been wanting to buy one for a while now but couldn’t find one I liked at a good price. Great job on the sandbox. Your kiddos are very blessed to have such a handy dad who can build them great playing equipment. I imagine a fort or treehouse will be in your future projects and possibly a swing set.

I love the look of your BBQ grill but it seems a bit on the small size to me. Maybe it's just because when we have friends and family over I need two grills instead of the huge one we already have. Love following all your changes and your cute relationship with each other. Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
I love the idea of an Adult Lounge area hehe. That sandbox is awesome, glad you put sturdy legs on it cuz if your boys are anything like I was as a kid they will be climbing up in and all over that box haha

Green Acre Homestead my neighbor built a sandbox around a large swing set/fort. She complained all last summer that kept finding cat💩 everywhere. I don’t have cats. 😂😂😂

We couldn't have a sandbox when we were kids. The cats kept trying to bury my sister. Oh, rib steak, medium rare please.
My old old grill I put in little wood pieces to help keep the fire from blowing out from the wind, if it's not to windy and for a better taste can you lay some wood chips by that fire, new grills, the ones I see in the stores ya can't. I'm Ruth, Phil's wife, oh yeah, I hate cleaning the grill so I put on the grill my old huge cast iron skillet, I am not sure it makes the best meat but that's what I do

When you were building the sandbox I though, that doesn't look big enough for 2 kids to sit in. Then I saw you putting legs on it and I'm like what😧
Duh now I realize they aren't going to sit in it, just play in it lol. No more sand in their shoes and shorts👍

I thought the same. Got distracted once and made the mistake of igniting mine with lid closed, BOOM scared me but luckily wasn't hurt!!

I have one the grilling surface is wider than the pull out greese circuler catcher,the grill tapers and is slotted so greese drips out on the controls sides and deck.the top doesn't have enough height to allow beer chicken the top wont fully close

May I suggest a lid for the sand box. If you don't you have just built a very large and nice kitty litter box. That happened to our grandson's sand box, before the lid.

Sure thing! Let us put some meals through it and give it some more time, but we can say so fart that we are still impressed and pleased with it. It's great for the things we grill, which are basic --- nothing fancy.

Hi Homesteaders, I’m considering this grill. What are you thoughts? The only concern thus far is I’ve seen a review that says this grill is Top Heavy.
We have had it for over 3 years now! It has been a great grill! We have not had a cover on it, and the only thing we have to replace is the diffuser plate. And that’s just now. We have had no issues with it being top heavy, even with high winds or it being bumped. 👍
I think that sandbox will be used to grow greens in 3 years...

Then I followed Sam's instructions for putting it together, but when I turned it on, I ended up with pooh in my fridge :/
