just in time, today i ordered a pallet with these paints & now i have some tips on how to use them. i love your feathers! the best i have ever seen, thanks so much for sharing! 💖
I love the calligraphy. It reminds me of Anglo Saxon and Medieval bibles. I've got a Faber metallic silver watercolour pencil but it's just grey with a few barely visible metallic bits. Very disappointing ☹ Derwent make them as well so I'll have to see whether they're better.
I've never used one or the other but if you want a really shiny/shimmering result you might have to go for paint or pen vs pencil... but then again I've never used pencils for metallic effects so maybe there are some out there that might give a good result.
Howdy Flower : - Cheers for another watercolour "experiment" upload...... Metallic Paint? - when I saw you wetting the gold metallic at around 0:08 seconds, it immediately reminded me of watching my "boss"/owner of the vintage Triumph motorbike workshop I worked at 25 years ago, painting gold pin-stripes onto (or over to be more specific) the black respray finish he'd done..... He was a master at it. It involves very careful masking off in curves, exactly replicating the original 1950s/60s paintjob - around the sides of the petrol tank, side panels etc. - leaving a 3 to 5 mm painting surface. I'm sure N.Z has plenty of such vintage motorcycles pottering around? - not the obnoxiously loud "backpatch" brigade type though!!. Like you say about removing the masking tape from around the borders of your artwork : When he removed all the tape once nearly dry = A Super-Satistfying Thing To Witness...... Anyway, I'm waffing - Again. All The Best To You Down There..... And, it's nice to see it looks like you're growing your wonderful (wildly wonderful?!) head of hair longer. Good Health, Nick x
@@LeilaAtaya ***No ! : - Not Due A Haircut !!***...... I know it's going "off script" a bit, mentioning your appearance (not really why I/we watch?), But : You've got an awesome head of hair, I like the fact it looks a bit "unruly"/wild - but in a good way..... Just natural??. It's an old upload, but a fave of mine = the "Princess Of The Lake" painting process : it's 4ish years old now, but your hair in that - along with the super-cool Tiger jacket?! - is a sight to behold..... Most bikers/rockers have a "thing" for a pretty woman with thick, long and in great condition locks. **Grow It While You Can !!**. Bye Chuck.
Are your parrots native? There are wild parakeets in Britain but they are descended from domesticated ones which escaped. They are very intelligent birds so they can probably pick locks 😅
The feather that I've used in the video - descendants from domesticated parrots but there are some native ones as well but they don't live around cities so you'll have to go on a trip to see them in the wild :)

Thank you :) I might need to do more feather tutorials by the sound of things ;)
Great video Leila, nice to see you again.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you ❤️
The feather painting is divine . The details
are just so beautiful. I love metallic paint and I often use it on black paper so it pops 😊.
Yes it does look really interesting on dark paper. 😊

Yes I’m due for a haircut 😊 Masking off a stipe in a curve can be quite challenging, must have been very satisfying to get the tape off!!

What brand of watercolor is this?
It's Art Decor watercolour set, it's student grade, I got it for my students for the metallic in it :)
