I have got enough shoes, i am not going to buy more shoes for some time.... However, I see Edd Bud is reviewing a shoe, i click!!👍 Feels good when Nike gets a positive review these days... it has fallen behind recently and that is sad because afterall Nike is the King of the jungle!!
You bring up a great point about some shoe manufacturers trying something and then they seem to forget it and move on to something else. Sometimes those things they discarded were really good. One that makes me scratch my head is the angled laces which became popular for a while. Still see them from time to time, and from several manufacturers. But if it is a good idea, and effective, why not use it more often? I mean it does make some sense, as feet aren't straight, so why should the lacing system be straight? Just one example. Keep up the good work sir, and happy, healthy running to you!
I picked up the Kipchoge colorway yesterday. I'm about to take on a maiden voyage! If this is truly just the start, as my pair says down the side, Nike is back!
Picked up the shoe yesterday and did a 10 mile PB, so definitely share your thoughts on it! Training for half marathon and feels a good long distance trainer with some tempo, enjoyed the review!
Glad Nike come back to their roots. I hope the don’t get arrogant and go back again to Zoom fly5 era (quality and price) P.S. Thank you for the video. I don’t write reply often, but always enjoy watching your review :)
Finally! I absolutely loved the Flyknit version and bought several pairs of them after trying (and selling) the disappointing v3. Have been eagerly waiting for each release to return to that winning formula and by the sounds of it, Nike have finally done it! I'll be adding them to my Christmas list for sure
I glad Nike has finally made a good trainer. Their race shoes are my go to but their trainers are usually meh. I will have to try this shoe. Great review!!
I still have the original Zoom Fly SE Kipchoges. Any return to the original light and nimble design would be a huge plus. The 6 look bulky little bulky but that the times we live in.
Have them in my basket, also in the raffle for the sl2 evo adidas thingy. 😬 I just don’t know! 😂1st world problems have and like the peg plus is it much better than that you think?
Edd, please do a comparison with the Mach X2. These are the two daily trainers I'm most interested in at the moment, but the yet to be released colourways are what I'm after, so I'm holding off buying either until after Christmas.
I'm excited/concerned. It sounds like the the best Zoomfly since the Zoomfly Flyknit. However, the upper sounds warm and similar to the Zoomfly 3. I hated that shoe in warm conditions.
Umm having thought the Zoom Fly 3 and 5 were excellent as heavy bricks, held back on these but does sound promising. Can’t help thinking though just digging out one of my older Vaporflys fills the job nicely for a fast session shoe but if it is now more of a choice up against the Endorphin Speed which I tend to use more as a lightweight daily trainer than a Speed shoe per se then again could be worth considering. Presume going to come in some brighter colours. Black is good but nice to see what else there might be.
How much natural flex is there to the Flyplate they installed on the ZF V6? I'm kinda intrigued by this shoe....it's no Tempo Next%, but maybe an acceptable combo with the SB V2 to handle what the Tempo Next% currently does for me. But in order for me to consider this shoe, it can't have that harsh rigid plate that I reserve for race day ONLY!
@@EDDBUD Thanks, maybe I will roll the dice on a pair if they have a significant Black Friday discount. So if the plate is too harsh, I won't be upset that I have to limit it's use case. Was definitely hoping for a more Nylon plate flex, less traditional CF rigidity.
@@EDDBUD Yeah, but like I haven't tried it so my words mean nothing, but those shoes have either 100% peba and 80-90% peba midsoles respectively so I would assume that they would feel more lively.
But different in use. The outsole is superb. Bit more of a standard trainer feel than the Superblast. If you like plates and want a good durable model is right up there. Also available too which the sb2 isn’t
Same old ish - the competition isn’t playing anymore… far too many options only reason why the elite of the elite wear em because they on Nike bankroll - Nike cut LeBron one billion dollar check for those ugly boots FFS - point is other companies just can compete and get poster boys and girls to onboard other than Adidas perhaps. Anyhow, I thinks deep down the people know those elite Kenyan brothers secretly got dem asics on standby 😂 All gone to the dogs with Nike and that zoom x pricing - way better options for all levels and weights out there IMHO Love

Love it when you show more of you running outdoors.
Would do more but most runs at 5 or 6am at the mo and its pitch black 🤣👍🏼
The Zoom Fly 5 was such a let down. But this ... the Zoom fly 6 ... I'm totally buying! Thanks for the early review, Edd!
Its a very different shoe. I think there is over 50g difference between the 5 and 6!
Zoom fly 5 was amazing so try again
Thanks for all the videos, which has been invaluable and encouraging to this beginner runner 😊 keep up the great work!
Thanks for the super support 👊
I personally loved the zoom fly 5 and have over 300 miles on my pair so definitely picking up this one

Great review Edd.
Thanks! 👍

Yes it’s a top shoe. Really surprised but impressed too
Great review Ed!! Will seriously consider these for shoe rotation with my Alphaflys for next marathon 🙌🏽. Thanks 😊🙏🏾
Like a ride in the Delorean… bringing back those feel good retro Nike trainer running vibes! Thanks Edd!! 🙌🏻 🏃🏻♂️ 👟

Christmas come early!
👏👏👏great review. Will definitely be picking it up.
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice work, chap! 👍
Thanks for tuning in
Well now here i go hunting around town to see if anyone has them early, thanks Ed
Nike website has them.
@@Fozzee.1970 not in the States
Sounds like quite an upgrade. Something to consider for winter training as I won’t be buying the Puma deviate nitro again.
Superb on wet leaves. Brilliant outsole
Will be checking these out when they are available in the US here soon. Appreciate the review, as always.
Thanks for watching!
As a Nike fanboy, I am overly excited to give these a try. Been longing for a good Nike trainer.
I glad Nike has finally made a good trainer. Their race shoes are my go to but their trainers are usually meh. I will have to try this shoe. Great review!!
It’s more like Nike 2018 but in a good way
Thank you sir! Always appreciated. What is the brand of the sensor on your foot?
Stryd foot pod. Some interesting extra metrics but not really something I feel is vital
The way they are pricing this ZoomFly saying Nike is really coming back!
Yes it’s a very specific price point. Very competitive move
Besos monstruosos para ED !! Excelente review, sorprendido !! tienes mi like !! UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHH jejeje
Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks Eddbud! Seems like this would have a similar feel as a beefed up Vomero 17.
A little bit more exciting on toe off. Quite a bit less shoe and weight.
Great review Edd, after that review they'll be sold out tomorrow 😂
I hope they get a few more colourways out there.
Good morning. Great description. Like from 🇪🇸 Spain. A nice weekend for everyone.
Thank you! You too!

Another great video!!

Be interesting to see how this compares to Evo SL! I have the zoom fly 6 but waiting to see if im lucky int he draw to compare!
Bit more rigidity here I reckon
@@EDDBUD currently using Rebel v4 but looking for a long run/half marathon racer with some more cushion than the rebel 🤞
Looks like a winner.
Feels like a winner
They look beautiful 😍
Yeah I thought so too
I love how these shoes look. But as possibly the only person who had heel slip with the Peg 39, I’m very wary of that heel flare.
Awesome profile to the shoe. Even the wife said they look nice
@@EDDBUD happy wife = happy life 🙊 happy sunday, btw🏃♂
In depth Comparison video between this and other tempo shoes like the Deviate and Mach X2?
Big one coming tomorrow

How would these be as a marathon race shoe for someone aiming at 3:30-3:45 who wants more stability and lower cost than the Alphafly?
Have a look at the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3
Yes I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t use them for a marathon

Coming tomorrow. Mega comparison video
Let’s wait to see how the cheaper Adizero SL Evo compares before I lay down any 💰
Early reports are, they are good for eating street food on the side of the road ( as per the adidas press photo 🤣👍🏼 )
I'm excited/concerned. It sounds like the the best Zoomfly since the Zoomfly Flyknit. However, the upper sounds warm and similar to the Zoomfly 3. I hated that shoe in warm conditions.
It’s nice and breathable up front. Perfect trainer type material
@@EDDBUD That's great to hear. I would like to get a pair.
I like it 👍👍👍. But I'll wait for more colours to drop here in Belgium. Don't really like black running shoes.
Good for the winter though.
As someone who loves her two pair of AF3’s and loves them for 10k’s contrary to most reviews, would this shoe work as a super trainer?
Absolutely.
@@EDDBUD thanks again for a fantastic video and review!
@@sarinaarmstrong2525 The shoe is an interesting mix of AF and VF. Almost leaning more to the AF in feel

These are improving with use too. Softening up a little and a nice consistent ride. Very impressed so far

But in order for me to consider this shoe, it can't have that harsh rigid plate that I reserve for race day ONLY!
The plate is there for sure. But there’s some more flex than the VF. The plate in the tempo next did bend a bit. This is slightly less flexible.

Had the zoom fly 3&5
Little heavy the 5.
Don't think be picking one up. Going to try those from Adidas this time
It’s closer to the 2018 originals. Much better than any of those others
With limited earth credits… buy these Nike ZF6 now or wait for the Adidas Evo SL? I’d probably wait…🤔🤔🤔
I think they will serve different purposes. I don't think the SL Evo will be a long run shoe.
Spot on. Adidas have made some hype on that shoe!
Not watching before I try them tonight 🎉
:) I hope my view conccurs with your feelings on it later.
How does it compare to the Tempo Next%?
Thanks
Less aggressive. More standard plate like feel
@@EDDBUD thanks Edd!!!
Is this good for heel strikers
Don’t see why not.
Should a person get this or he peg plus for tempo threshold and some easy runs?
This one is a bit more up for it
Well hello again 🎉
Hello there!
How are they stability wise
They are neutral but be careful as the bounce could cause some instability for those with weaker hips.
Found them fine for this. But of compression but nothing over the top
@@EDDBUD I found I need to engage my hips a little more than usual but I'm 95kg. Nothing bad though.
LFGGGGGGGGG EDDD
Why do you think this shoe is more fun than the mach x2?
Yes bit more traditional fit in the heel too which people will like.
@@EDDBUD It would be great to see a comparison video! I'm considering shoes for speed training and track workouts. The Hoka Mach x2 seemed ideal
Stability ?
hows the width?
Reasonable. Nothing mega wide. Not as constrictive perhaps as a race like fit.
would have been better if they replaced sro02 with react x and had the zoom x and eva 50/50 rather than more of 30% zoom x and 70% eva.
It’s a bit softer than that stuff
