- Slow but steady progress on the Z250, so far a Battery, Oil and filter, Brake master cylinder, Front brake line and a set of plugs have been used. The pictures make it seem very good but it generally is in a fairly corroded state so focus is on getting it all sorted and running well at this time!

Lovely bike Martyn, thanks for sharing it with us all. I once had a 250 C in the same colour. I would love to get another one and it’s November 2022 now. 👍🏻
Had a red one of these new in 81, what a great little bike. Piper 2-1, K&N Filters and a good reset had this bike running like clockwork. It got stolen from Bolton Town Centre never to seen again, as per the post below, would love another one myself😀
I had a green Z250a from new, FRY750V, great bike, only let me down twice. First time the crank bearings went but got me home, was a fault on the A models and done under warranty at Russels in Loughborough. Second time in Belgium at a rally and was towed by Terry Snelling form motorcycle news back to Callis, then RAC home. Found a spilt cab diaphragm. Other than that went all over Europe and Britain on it. In 3 years did over 100.000 miles. Do wish I kept it. Still have the Kawasaki service ,

@@grahamsgoodies7531 100k! I'm a bit ashamed to say I don't go far on mine! Still a bit shy of revving it (used to bigger bikes) but seems happier when spinning a bit!
I had a Z250 but I can’t find one like I had it was twin but all the ones I have seen look like yours
All the twin pipes have rotted away and its very difficult to find even twin downpipes (to try to adapt some generic pipes) in my opinion the single exhaust is ugly compared with twin pipes!

Estoy resucitando un KZ250A igual que el tuyo. Aquí en Vzla salió a la pista el año 1986.
Necesito el piñón loco del sistema de arranque, es decir el engrane que funciona entre el arranque y la cremallera... Me puedes ayudar??? Quien puede ser que lo tenga?? Agradecido por cualquier información!!! Saludos

You're clearly too young to remember but back in the 80s/90s you could insure as many bikes as you liked on one policy. What a bummer getting a fresh one year policy for a bike you might use for a month then sling it on ebay.
You are being very diplomatic! I remember the riders policy well as a Norwich Union policy I worked for Commercial Union/Norwich Union/General Accident etc (later Aviva) before I retired. The policy I have is a Carole Nash product which I think can take up to four bikes.
