You my friend and indeed your wife are extremely fortunate and ever so lucky. I cannot explain how much joy being able to spend time watching them like that would give me.
That is indeed amazing. I have only seen one American eagle all my life, and then for only a minute as it was flying away. But where I live, only a few years ago, there were none, now e have a few.. Thanks for sharing the video with us. Amazing! Wild turkeys and beaver have been introduced to. Thanks to all those that work to restore the indigenous wildlife!
True story. In the 1970s I lived on Galliano Island off the southern coast of British Columbia where I worked as a carpenter. We were working on a cabin looking down onto the Juan De Fuca Strait. At one point we noticed a group of Killer whales coming in. This was what was going on as it was explained to me by my boss, a first nation resident of the Island. The ferry came through and stirred up a school of herring which temporarily lost their ballast, (in short they lost the inability to control their swim bladders which made them come to the surface). This brought in first seals after the herring and then Orcas (after the seals) and of course a number of paired resident eagles who where having a fresh fish feast who it seems had completely lost their fear of us. It is awe inspiring to what the eagles sparring with each other in the shy, diving down to surface level only to slow, reach out with those sharp talons and gently it seemed, pluck up a doomed herring. During the spectacle a number of live herring where just dropped in the driveway as we watched. I had quiet a story to write home to my Mom.
Mid '80s Me and a brother drive from NY DownState to Homer Spit AK We see a bald eagle a ways off in a tree.....we begin running towards it in excitement and taking photos from 100s of yrds away Locals looking at us like we're nuts (we are were) Anyway we set a tent on the beach for the night 2AM my brother wakes me and tells me to look out the tent 5-10ft away ......15-20-25 bald eagles ......like seagulls all on beach
I loved watching them at the Lake, never saw that many together though. They can be intimidating to say the least. We had lots of wildlife moments where I worked. My favorite was watching a pair of Ospreys every year. They are far more aggressive fishermen than the Eagles. Maybe not as graceful, but when they hit the dive and disappear and come up with a fish it's quite a sight. Glad you put"The Birds" on this channel, with the fishing. Goes together well. Thanks!
Ur welcome! Ya...you and me both (wish I was there)! My wife said it was incredible...she was right up close....hahaha...and scared at first. Sure glad she at least had her cell phone with her to capture the experience. Take care and thanks! ~K
This is crazy cool.. I cracked up at ",,No,, they are after the fish guts". Awesome sneaky Eagle hiding food under his wings. haha, This is like a miracle sighting.... Eagles and Deer,,,I have a very special attachment to those two wild animals.. Awesomeness.
Thanks! I would also have LOVED to have seen this...unfortunately I didn't make the trip with my wife. She was very fortunate! Thanks and take care. ~KJ
Besides being an AMAZING experience, wow!!! In Native American/First Nations traditions, animals are sometimes used to communicate the values and spiritual beliefs of Native communities Does yours? (I hope so, I'd love to hear it ;). I was trying to imagine how I would feel if I was in your shoes (besides SO EXCITED, but trying to maintain, lol) I'm pretty sure I'd feel like I was present for something "Majestic" (I might cry a bit even-ONLY tears of JOY) and VERY LUCKY!!! (Enough that I'd go get a lottery ticket!!). Plus, you have proof & can relive it. So cool !!!
Hahahaha.....ya...my wife was freaked at first!! "Will they try get me?". That was my niece reassuring her...."nahhh......their into the fish guts". Hahahahahaha. My wife certainly felt it was a miracle sighting! We have lots of eagles here....right outside our back door. But never would we ever see that many...and they'd never allow us to get that close. Those eagles almost seemed like pets! ~Kenster
Birds of prey, and a magnificent beauty. Don’t taint it with freedom bullshit. They don’t even know the land they are on is America. Just a land for em
@@LifeandHorror “Freedom bullshit”? Apparently this was actually recorded in Canada, but it doesn’t really matter as far as your comment goes. The primary founding principle of America is “Liberty”, and the symbol of the United States is the bald eagle. That is why Howard Worton’s comment was entirely appropriate.
Ya mate...my wife said it was crazy bein' there up close and personal. Said their talons looked deadly! She figured there musta been about 40 or 50 eagles in total!! Take care.~KK
The one "hiding" food under his wings is doing a warning maneuver called a mantle. He's not hiding the food, he's telling the others he'll fight for what he has.
Thanks Crow! Ya....my nephew and I...well....and my wife too....we capture some incredible scenery....wildlife.....and rather than open yet another channel....I thought by re-naming this Nature Kings....we could cover more bases. The fishing fits nicely here too. My wife agrees with you about Eagles "can be intimidating"...especially that close to their super sharp talons!! ~K
Nature Kings Yeah it would have been cool but like me I am sure you have seen other incredible animal sights or animal behaviour like the time I saw the most incredible number of kangaroos in one place, I saw literally millions of them as far as the eye can see, from a few metres away to moving dots on the horizon. Nature is amazing, and so is being up close and personal with giant eagles, like the Wedge Tail I saw at a koala park inside a cage as big as a small house. They are similar in size to the bald eagle, an animal I have never seen at a zoo.
Hi Lorie! I just stumbled upon this video, today, and saw your comment! Unbelievable, sight! I think that was a juvie that swept in for the steal. Tail was still dark. But, as eagles' nest watchers, we already know they are awesome birds. Have a blessed day! 😇 (See you at Lady Hawk's channel when she posts her next great eagle, plus other BOP, video finds! I invite other viewers to join us and see how these magnificent birds raise their chicks and as we are seeing right before our eyes, in the Gabriola Island nest, they can be very amazing, as is witnessed by them bringing in a hawklet for Junior's dinner and winding up adopting and raising it!) TC
Hi and thanks Shawnee! We actually live in B.C. Canada.....and this video was taken way up our rugged coastline...in an area of remote Native Fishing Villages. Awesome scenery and great wildlife! ~Kenneth
So many eagles! Its a flock of FREEDOM!! I wouldn't want to be wearing a scarf or hat. They might think its a mink, rabbit, or something else. You know what else would be so American? A eagle sitting on a American flag pole. I pledge allegiance to the flag of America.. One nation under God... Indivisible.. WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.
Never seen these gorgeous birds up close but I have been close to the Wedge Tail Eagle which is slightly smaller then these but hell they are still giants, almost as big as I am. Would love to see a Baldy up close. Do Bald Eagles attack mammals or do they like sea creatures ? I ask because I have seen wedge tail eagles take out foxes and kangaroos so I am curious. Never see this many wedgies as are here though, they like to be alone or with just one or two. When they take on foxes they land first and stalk them on foot, just incredible to watch. Eagles are so cool eh.
Bald eagles will attack and pick up ANYTHING they perceive as "food".... just like your wedge tails.. Land mammals included Greg! The thing that totally blew my wife away (besides the sheer number of birds) was the size of thier talons or claws when seen up close like she was here in the vid. Massive....and scary! Take care....and thanks. ~Kenneth
Nature Kings You are very welcome Kenneth, I am told the Wedge Tail is only the second biggest eagle in the world behind your bird but I can tell you the talons and beak on the wedge tail is truly something to behold, these birds are massive and very tall and they will fly around a land mammal to frighten it but to attack them it lands and attacks from the ground usually with it's mate and maybe with it's juvenile as well. I suppose it is because to attack from the air at high speed would be an impact where the eagle ends up breaking its own bones on its heavier prey. Usually you only see them when they are very high in the sky and therefore you usually don't realize that they are huge. Your bald eagles here are a sight to behold too and I can see why to the Americans they are an icon.
Ho Crow! Yup....my wife is still talking about it. Now THAT must have been wild....being up that close to them. She said their talons looked massive live and in person!!! ~K
That fisherman is sooo blessed, the animals love him, me too!!!
Eagles gathering around one's home like pigeons waiting for seeds. Amazing.
Eagles eat meat though
That's a lot of freedom in one backyard
Lol. good one
😂😂😂😂😂
ALOT ALOT
They have way more freedom and rights then we humans do. 😆 Good for them!
Eagles: HAVE SOME FREEDOM!
SO MUCH FREEDOM!
masterredwood ITS A WHOLE MESS OF IT!
You my friend and indeed your wife are extremely fortunate and ever so lucky. I cannot explain how much joy being able to spend time watching them like that would give me.
"Sir, there's something coming in on radar, Sir!"
-"What is it lieutenant?"
"Hold on Sir...."
"...Sir, it's Freedom, Sir!"

nightlightabcd you mean a bald eagle ? American eagle is a clothing brand.
"There's oil somewhere here"

Lmao!

Wow! Incredible bald eagles! I was looking at some wild nature vids and found this great one, very rare. Thanks!
If I had that available, I'd spend a fortune feeding them. So beautiful.
WOW!!!! That barely covers it. Love how you added the stop motion here and there. Thanks for sharing this!!
When UA-cam randomly throws you a nine-year-old video in your feed😂😂😂
That was GREAT! Thank you!
That's absolutely incredible!! Thanks for sharing :)

Magical moment! I would be acting exactly the same! Glad you were able to record such a special moment on video to have forever! 🦅🤎
Hi Abdul. This is in a remote fishing community called Bella Bella, which is about halfway up the West Coast of Canada. ~Kenneth
That cultural event has been liberated.
Ur welcome! Ya...you and me both (wish I was there)! My wife said it was incredible...she was right up close....hahaha...and scared at first. Sure glad she at least had her cell phone with her to capture the experience. Take care and thanks! ~K
That’s very impressive and incredible. Beautiful and astonishing.
Omg that is very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I would also have LOVED to have seen this...unfortunately I didn't make the trip with my wife. She was very fortunate! Thanks and take care. ~KJ

From an ordinary backyard, to the most Merica backyard ever.
That's amazing. So beautiful. Before I die, I'd like to pet one. As a Patriot, I would love to pet the animal that represents our freedom.

2:33 I believe that's called "mantling". A lot of birds do it.
