PLANETARY WINDS

Winds flowing through the year in almost same direction are called planetary winds or permanent winds. Three planetary winds are found on the Earth i.e. Trade Winds, Westerlies Winds and Polar Winds. The lecture includes discussion on all winds, cause of their formation and effect of Coriolis force.

When you are standing at North Pole, you are standing over North, there is only one direction left that is South. As Latitude and longitude converges into a point at North pole. Take a Globe and try to do simple experiment.
