“Arthur enjoys his new life by the sea. As he says it, ‘It’s better than flying into a fruit train.”
Haha!
@@sodorislandmodels6332 I used to watch these but better now! Tysm
Thanks :)
I imagine that Gordon, Flying Scotsman, Emily, and most other LNER-based engines have the utmost respect for Whiff, since Aerolite, the real-life Whiff, pulled the mechanical engineer's saloon coach on the NER. Spencer probably wouldn't, because he's Spencer, and because he also pulls trains of prestige.
"How could you possibly have pulled anything important? You've only got six wheels!"
"Eight."
"Excuse me?"
"I have eight wheels, Spencer."
"No you don't! You have six! You know what, I can't be bothered talking to you, I can't be seen with an engine called Whiff!"
"...that's Aerolite to you, snob."
Yeah, bang on
@@sdmedia1323 I never knew engines can also make puns ala Sans the Skeleton!
😁
@@sdmedia1323 For anyone who doesn't know what Whiff and Spencer are arguing about, I recently checked the real Whiff's (NER 66 Aerolite) Wikipedia page. Aerolite started out as a 2-2-2WT tank engine. That means it had six wheels. It was later rebuilt twice, the first giving it a 4-2-2T configuration and the last one giving it a 2-2-4T configuration. Hence, that's why Whiff said he had eight wheels and Spencer pointed out he formerly had six.
🙂
It reminds me of a time around 2004-05 when there were rumors of an upcoming 41st The Railways Series book called Silly Engines, where even Arry and Bert would be involved. I never thought anything of it, because then it would be marked as the first book in the series where TV series-exclusive characters have roles in The Railway Series.
Cool, i don't remember that :)
Why wasnt it true...😢?
Hah
These are probably my favourite type of video ngl. The narrations add so much to the charming edits and the lofi esc music in the background just gives the whole video a great vibe. Keep it up mate!
Glad you liked it!
The mention of Southampton in Rosie's narration is great and makes sense, since her class once worked the docks there. They even worked with the E2s and Class 07s (the latter is Salty's basis) for a while.
Yep! :)
@@sodorislandmodels6332 Yes, I imagine Tidmouth harbour having a USA tank from World War 2 until being replaced by a Class 07 diesel in 1973. The USA tank was then purchased by Sir Topham Hatt as a shunting engine. In my headcanon Salty (the Class 07 that works at the harbour) is D2988 as this was the first Class 07 withdrawn (in 1973).
Sodor having an 07 makes a lot of sense
@@sodorislandmodels6332 I agree with you that the USA tank & Class 07 are well suited to Sodor!
These characters fit in the rws perfectly
Thanks!
@@sodorislandmodels6332 no problem

“Oh bother” groaned Derek “My engine has overheated again!”
Derek was getting irritated by his engine overheating, this was the third time this month!
😁
My first RWS fanfiction:
Vikings!
Derby and Matlock are two of a kind. They were built for trial service on the Other Railway. Now they run on the Norramby branch, between Sodor and the mainland.
One morning, Derby was waiting to leave Barrow when he noticed some very unusual looking people on the platform. They had large backpacks and wooden chests.
I wonder who they are, he thought.
The signal turned green and Derby left the station. He crossed the Vicarstown Bridge onto the Island of Sodor.
When he reached the passing station at Ballahoo, Derby met Matlock coming the other way.
“Hey up Matlock,” he said, “I picked up some strange looking people at Barrow. They look different from the usual holidaymakers.”
“I say Derby,” Matlock replied, “There’s a strange looking boat at the marina. It’s got a big red and white striped sail and a dragon’s head at the front - I’ve never seen anything like it!”
Derby kept thinking about it as he made his way towards Norramby.
As he rounded the curve and approached the marina, he saw it!
Nothing had prepared him!
“Wow!” he breathed. It looked amazing!
When Derby arrived at Norramby, he met Hubert the Hovercraft.
“Hallo there,” Hubert said, “Are you alright??? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
“I’VE SEEN A DRAGON!” Derby exclaimed.
He told Hubert about the strange and fierce looking ship.
He knew what it was!
“That sounds like a Viking longship,” Hubert replied, “When I was first built I ran the cross Channel hovercraft; there’s a Viking ship near the old Ramsgate Hoverport. They sailed here from Denmark without an engine, just as the Vikings did all those years ago. My captain says it’s still there.”
“It’s got a tall mast and a big sail,” Derby observed, “They’d have to lift the bridge to get in and out of the marina!”
Hubert laughed.
“They had to lower the mast to go under the bridge,” he said, “It’s sailed from the Isle of Man for the Norramby Viking Festival.”
“What’s a Viking Festival?” Derby asked.
“It’s a living history event where people dress up and live like the Vikings for the weekend. They do their cooking, crafts and fighting displays; lots of people come to see them.”
“Are those people I brought up from Barrow taking part?”
“It looks like it,” Hubert finished, “See you later.”
Derby’s driver changed ends and they set off back to the mainland.
He saw the Viking ship again as he passed the marina. Now he knew what it was, it didn’t look scary!
Cool!
Hope these characters can be featured in future stories.😊
🙂
Even the landscapes are out standing
Cheers!
My favourite illustrations are the Warship Class diesel pulling the mail train and Belle at Matlock. Matlock itself appears in a flashback scene in the next RWS fanfiction but I can't say anything other than it involves BoCo & CoBo, Derby & Matlock!
Lovely
Ahh.. I love these videos
I'm glad!
to be honest I’m not really a fan of how most of them have completely different liveries as it makes them feel like completely different characters.
molly for example looks like another edward without that yellow livery to make her stand out, not to mention you don’t really see many yellow engine which is what made it more unique like james.
They're in rws style liveries
Here's a sub, these are great.
Thanks so much!
This is beautiful
Thanks :)
Amazing edits
Thanks
These are good edits! Keep em’ up!
Thanks!
Unlike the original, this one actually is a Tiger Moth:-) The one in S5 has a radial engine (the Tiger Moth doesn't). The yellow Tiger Moth looks like the one in Thunderbird 6; David Mitton was said to have worked on Thunderbirds.
🙂
The illustration of Belle is at Matlock station with Riber Castle in the background. In my headcanon the Norramby branch is now run by the twin Class 151 railcars Derby & Matlock, who used to run on the Matlock line during their trial service on the Other Railway. This is where they met CoBo (D5705) and after coming to Sodor they recognise BoCo as a Metropolitan Vickers CoBo, starting a train of events leading to CoBo joining the railway. It would be fun to se the twin Metropolitan Vickers diesels getting their own back on Bill & Ben!
Oh great!
How about American engines, like Hank, Connor, and Caitlin? But realistically, it's dangerous for American engines to be on Sodor or the British Isles because of wheel gauge, loading gauge, and their weight.
I have a plan for the American engines, but honestly they're low down on my priorities right now!
@@sodorislandmodels6332 I think Hank should be a USATC S160 as it's an American engine but built to the UK loading gauge.
Fair enough
Could we see edits at the background engines next?
Dude that would be great!
I think the next compilation will be unseen characters, what are background engines?
@@sodorislandmodels6332 probably characters like the red engines 98462 and 87546
@@sodorislandmodels6332Engines Like 98462, 87546, the 1st and 2nd Red engines, the Green Engine in Edward's day out, and the little blue Engine
Gotcha. Some day soon!

Nice
Thank god you didn’t have wiff with a 🤓 accent like normal
And I deliberately spelled it wrong Because why not
Hehehe
Cool Edits My Favorite Was Frankie
Also l Hope To See Smudger,Lady,Molly And Rosie on The RWS Style
And To Be Honest l Don't know Very Much About The RWS (Railway Series Books) Just Some Stuff Like The Artstyle And Some Characters That Are From There And The Most important Thing They Were The inspiration For The Adaptation of The Television Series Basically The Thomas From 1984
Also l know About Them Even More Thanks To Bluebell And Especialy After That Mad Bomber Thing regarding a Very Old Thomas Project
Thanks! Molly and Rosie were in this one and I have done Lady and Smudger for further videos
0:39 my fav part ❤
Thanks!
Belle without her water cannons and Diesel 10 without Pinchy look much better; they fit in better with the Railway Series now:-) In my headcanon Diesel 10 is D818 Glory; in real life scrapped in 1985 after Swindon Works closed. Oliver may have met the Warship Class diesels before coming to Sodor in 1964-67. D818 could be one of the diesels who was sent to track down Oliver when he was on his Escape...
I like them better without the attachments for sure
Marvellous!
Thanks!
I think my favourite in this video has to be the Tiger Moth edit
Cheers :)

This is the most charming
Thanks
You forgot to reupload the Toby and Lady edit
It's on this video 🙂ua-cam.com/video/hkk-lDCewVI/v-deo.htmlsi=ZX4Gb5EvOTwjmDGb
How would you do Dennis?
I'll have him and Norman done soon hopefully :)
Was 41 Vick? Which looks a lot like the one in the Roblox game I play, Blue Train with Friends Exploring Sodor
The engine with the No. 41 Green Engine is Arthur
wha
why would it be, you cant just take an OC and edit it in without permission, plus the title of the video is Thomas and Friends TV CHARACTERS, Vick isnt even official
different wheel arrangement, different number and livery, and he even says its Arthur, only green
sometimes i regret going into the comments section....
It's arthur
Out of interest, would you rather have Nia as a standard gauge engine for the NWR, or a narrow gauge engine for the SKR, considering her basis is built for narrow gauge?
Out of those two options, standard gauge
@@sodorislandmodels6332 So, from what is implied, she's a fictional KUR ED1 who is purchased by the NWR and has her wheels regauged to standard gauge, isn't she?
I guess so, but tbh I don't know much about nia
Please do Richard next!
Who?
@@sodorislandmodels6332he’s an OC by Burried Truck, he’s a LSWR S15 I believe
Oh okay, I'll have a think about that
0:00 What was that Thomas soundtrack you just put in?
My cover of the viaduct theme, there is a video of it on my channeland download link in the discription :)
Yeah, I really don't like Diesel 10 without Pinchy. It's just wrong. Same as green Arthur. I don't know why green Arthur looks so cursed.
Also, that Molly voice doesn't suit her. She's shy, not Annie!
Why do you keep complaining about his videos. If you don’t like it don’t watch it.
It's his opinion
I agree with you
It's an illegal modification.

I'd love to see a showman's engine character in a steam-fair visiting the island....
Cool
Thanks! I've written one called Esmerelda (C) J. Eiseman-Renyard 7.8.2024
Despite her decorated "carnival queen" look, she's hardworking and multi-talented, pulling fairground trailers, putting up the rides and equipment and powering so much of the fair with her dynamo. She could also "sing" with a musical organ.
Nice!
Both Arthur and mollys basis liveries are wrong but this is cool
Arthur is supposed to be BR Red with black wheels and Molly is supposed to be Great Eastern Blue Rosie is also supposed to be BR Black
They're in NWR liveries
0:00 What was that Thomas soundtrack you just put in?
Viaduct theme cover!
