You deleted your previous screens real quick!! What are Trolls really doing 🤔 🙄 😕
I always look at feedback before deciding to buy anything on Ebay as it is usually a good guide to how the seller operates. I say usually, as you might have his/her mates putting fake feedback on. Car boot sales are a good way of boosting your collection, as you can usually grab a good bargain, and you can see first hand what the product looks like. I have every Now CD /or cassette from No.19, and all the songs from 1-18 that were on vinyl, which I have digitised on to my computer.
Wow after all this time you still say "practice n enjoy" that's cool! nice video too very informative
I had a suspicion about fake CDs and eBay but is that really possible since I've brought a few CDs of eBay UK but they're with my sister who's in the UK
Is it possible to spot it from the cover and are they also sold on Amazon UK?
Now 96 disc 1 should be orange not yellow
Good video and good information to know
Love the NOW album series as they are a snap shot of a certain time period and that is why we have a Monday Night live stream were we look back at the NOW albums and see what memories the songs or artists bring back to us and our viewers
I have 1 to 99 on CD, 1 to 8 go for Extreme amounts of Money now, I am Glad I bought mine at the time. I also have all 15 of the rival counter part The Hits Album on CD as well. I am glad to say Non are Fake. Thanks for that If they are dealing In Fake CD's they should be Chopped off E-Bay. Thanks Johnathan.
no you don't have 1 to 99 on cd at all so why lie, they only ever brought them out on vol 1, vol 4 and from vol 8 onwards
Nathan Gilchrist they did release 1-8 on cd and I know that as I’ve got them in one of my cd flight cases.
These days, you can't always go by the playing surface of CD's either. Back when CD's first really blew up,I'd bought a Japanese CD on Chuck Berry (a "21" track Best Of that only had 20 tracks!),which was taken from mostly Vinyl 45's and/or Tapes (meaning Cassettes in this case). The CD LOOKED every bit professional (right down to the IFOP stamped into the hole area),but was obviously NOT original. (And,none of my CD have the "barcode" in the area where they usually just have the CD catalog number - but all of those are legit, except for what I've burned myself from albums and 45's.)
Nearly all the CD's at that time were Needle Drops. Around that 85/86 when I had a Philips CD1 and the only place You could get CD's to play on them was Woolworths own Brand (Greensleeves Label). And they were all Needle Drops. I still have them. They would put the Entire Catalogue of the Artists on there. Till someone probably thought "Hang on If We split up their work over several CD's We can make more money. Those Disc's that I have were quickly Replaced by them. The Library only had 3 CD's and I hired them all. Lol. One Year later and they had a Massive room full. Now they don't have any, How times change.
Brilliant vid Jonathan - I didn't know what to look out for especially the bar codes on the disc and the off lined staples,
dont bother ebay dont care
My name is Chris and I have been running into these fake cds myself I will see a now CD that will have something like Phil Collins on it I was born in 1984 grew up in the 90s and these songs that are 40 and 50 years old shouldn't be on these CDs it should be new upcoming artists it just another way for someone to get cheated out of money
Have you bought anything from Discogs? Just wondering why you got it from E-bay instead.
Heh heh heh
I have not bought a CD in over ten years..
Those are from the UK series
No shit Sherlock.
So what you’re saying if a cd doesn’t show a bar code it means it’s fake?
not sure you ever got 'Now 1' was it not on record and tape. not CD?
NOW 1 Is on Vinyl and Cassette , You can find them In most Charity's or Boot Sales. As for the CD Version they go for Extreme amounts of money If You can find one that Is. I have All 1 to 99 On CD. 1 to 8 are the hardest and Expensive to get now. Glad I bought them at the Time.
bravo john well done
let me know if u send to ebay if u dont get the refund
Might be worth a call to trading standards as well
but you're by
I guessed 96 to.
well done david bright
If looks cheap it is cheap !
This why I use cd pool
I am with CD Pool as well.
See, this is why Vinyl will not be replaced by this things, vinyl always and always be original wherever you buy it it will only be the original thing.
Vinyl was and still is being copied, but not so much now
but still it's original and had a permission to copyright its original, unlike CDs everyone can burn and create a clear image of its cover.
reyzuna there are vinyl that dont have the copyright but still put songs on them, thats why some are unnoficial releases and arent allowed to be sold on discogs, for example "Pete Rock/INI - Center of Attention" album has many bootlegs shown, but many arent allowed for sale, same with a lot of Music House vinyl
maybe those are personal albums? because i owned almost 80% of bootleg that all are promotional or for commercial only with copyrights on it but doesn't matter because, how many people owned a Pressing machine anyway to copy and sell records without license?? so 99% you're going to buy a original copy of vinyl. Unlike CDs that was copied on Mp3 then converted to wave and burned into CDs and sell them to the corner of the streets.
