two things that need said: 1: it's really dangerous to go near a volcano even with a gas mask. the gases released don't just poison you, they replace the air around you so you suffocate. gas masks only give you enough time to move out of the danger zone if the wind shifts. also, as was mentioned, there's a risk that the lava may change direction, the crater wall collapses, or a whole new fissure opens up and not even a heat suit will help you then. 2: you should not walk on the moss in Iceland. it can take up to 70 years to grow back and is incredibly fragile. Justin Bieber filmed a video of him dancing on the moss, and all his fans went to that place. guess what: the moss died and the area may now remain closed for decades to let the moss recover. if anyone is going to see the volcano, or any volcano, follow the instructions of the rescue and police teams. they know best.
Regarding this volcano specifically, our authorities and met office have specified paths for people to go to the eruption site. The path is closed on days when there's little wind and a lot of gas though as the site would be very dangerous then as you just mentioned. But yeah they do deem it safe enough to go there at certain times depending on the current condition. @@mobilegamez8125 Hello there, fellow future-dweller! 👋
0:32 “Sorry for the pants… We have an eruption” 🥴
Having hiked to Kahauale volcano in Hawaii, I confirm that this is legit, including the risks of vog (volcanic fog) and needing a heat suit. I was only able to come as close as 2 meters to the edge of lava without it, not to mention placing something into lava with my own hands.
Max you are so cool! Dude, I just want to say that you really inspire me!
I have depression for years, which is sometimes very difficult, and at such moments when I feel not enough strength and then all motivation drops so much and it seems to me that there is no more strength to fight obstacles .. then I turn on your videos and watch how you solve again some new one an unusual task, and successfully, and I feel a charge of inspiration! Looking at you, I feel that the problems are much more solvable than I feel in moments of fatigue.
Also your videos are very funny and my mood improves.
Maybe sometimes it's "silly things" as you say, but you help me so much (even though you don't know about it) and I just want to say thank you!
Thank you for your channel - it's like a breath of fresh air when adding even one straw to my load feels unbearable.
But I look at you, your creativity and ingenuity and purposefulness and cheerfulness, and I immediately feel better. 😺
You help me cope! Thanks dude!😊❤
I was there a day before Max and being so close to a volcano was actually the most crazy feeling ever. Words can't describe what it's like to sit there and watch moltern lava right in front of you
Imagine if ur just volcanoing and then max rosy walks up with some curry
The hike up was so difficult but it was so worth it
When we said let him cook I didn't think he'd take it this far.
Absolutely insane. Now I have another Item on my bucket list.
Tom Scott tried to see an erupting volcano twice, max did it on his first try
The effort this guy puts into making youtube videos must be appreciated.
I’ve definitely been enjoying your videos more than any other creators right now. Good stuff, Max!
Didn’t think that Max Fosh and Hamish and Andy would do the same idea once, let alone twice 🤣
Yeah I was thinking that
He’s a Hamish and Andy fan - he did the podcast intro on episode 96

Max: organizes the most crazy cooking project in the world.
Also Max: doesn't even take a pan.
