I really enjoyed the video, but I had to retract my like for those reasons 😅 Wishing you and Max Fish all the best!
It’s not the same. It’s not best practice yeah, but specifically pointing out you’re retracting a like and comparing it to throwing a mammal into concrete is absurd and excessive. It makes your advice sound much less trustworthy. Extremism like that rarely does much to help the cause.
DISCLAIMER: do not EVER release a fish into the wild unless it is a native species. Also, some places even ban releasing them into ponds if they’re too near natural water sources because flooding could release them into the wild waters.
@@fandango5673 bro did you not read if the comment if it flood the fish can definitely escape and got to a nearby lake and either die, spread disease, eat all the food and become invasive and more
Never release a fish that way. There are guides you can look up online on how to properly handle and release fish. In summary tho, always support the belly and if possible keep the head of the fish facing towards the current to help water flow through the gills. Obviously this isn't an exhausted fish caught on a line, but tossing them like that is still likely to cause injury even if it doesn't seem like it's all that rough.
Also him holding it which is removing of the slime coat, as well as probably not acclimating the poor fella. But at least he wasn't kept in an unfiltered bowl for the rest of his days.
I'm really surprised that this was possible and that the freshwater carp eggs where viable. Even organic caviar has some kind of preservative in it like salt which I thought would of made the eggs unviable. The container or jar is usually vacuum sealed too.

@@ElaMongrella If he did he would've shown it, he most likely didn't because he was clueless on how to handle fish. Even if he did acclimate the fish (he didn't), it still doesn't help with the whole throwing aspect, which is an incorrect way to introduce a fish to a new environment.
For those who don’t know, the channel that popularised the “hatching ___ from supermarket eggs” trend is called: “A chick called Albert” owned by Alwyn Wils, the name Albert is what the quail he hatched from the supermarket egg was called, he was the only egg that hatched, and Albert did unfortunately pass away A clip from one of his videos hatching quail eggs is shown at 1:12 he has hatched a quail twice from supermarket eggs now though so it could be from either video
I don't recall Albert phoning around bird hatcheries for some quail sperm ? At least his videos could reasonably seen as legit videos. Whether they are or not is a matter for another time.
@@stellahead He wouldn't need to. Supermarket eggs can often be fertilized if there is a male rooster among the flocks. You can't fertilized an already laid egg lol.
I don't know whether Max intended it to be this way, but when he took the fish out and said "give me a peddle...good boy", it was kind of like shoving someone's head in a lake and saying "Give me a few bubbles....good boy" before pulling them out. Edit: For clarity, I think it's very funny.
Such a beautiful fish. This was truly soooo emotional.😊I truly got the feeling as the fish was some kind of survivor in some crazy tragedy and the way how the fish tries to get back to their lifes after that crazy event. This was truly beautiful,Max!😃
The emotional attachment I had to that fish in the two minutes I knew him wasn't healthy, I can't even begin to think how it felt for Foshy who raised him from birth. I hope they're doing well in their new found freedom x
Considering how caviar is prepped/made, I have no idea how this actually works. I'd think that all the caviar would be "dead" from the massive amount of salt they are rubbed with plus the refrigeration should surely kill the eggs. Edit: Max switched from Black caviar which are most certainly dead, to an "organic" (AKA Fresh) caviar which apparently is still alive. Yuck.
lets imagine he got the carp fish sperm from a carp fish farmer and off camera he also got some carp fish eggs from the same farmer. That would explain why a carp fish was born. Doesn't explain the very low fetilization rate of the fish farmers main products though does it ?
No worries about organic caviar being "alive" since they where not in contact with sperm when you buy them you are not eating a living being just unfertilized eggs
Man, I'm studing for an exam about fish farming, and seeing this is really incredible. This is something I would not expect and made me wanna try it out too
how did manage to replicate the crystal clear carp eggs from a processed jar of tarama carp roe that looked like humus ? You know it's fake right ? He got the eggs from the same fisf farmer he got the sperm from !! How is this not obvious to you ??
I'm skeptical about this experiment actually working but I also know nothing of fish. Is caviar really viable after it's been processed and a few days old?
Here is a tip, I would place max into another smaller container before releasing him into the pond. Lay the water inside the pond at have it sit at the right tempurature. Just flinging him would do a bit of shock to him. Idk, you probably did that though.
Technically roe are the fish eggs, caviar is specifically sturgeon roe (for true caviar the sturgeon has to come from the Caspian or Black seas) that has been salt-cured and reshaped. So if you're somehow able to get a baby fish from it pop off but most likely you would have to just use uncured fish roe.
As a woman it was kinda wholesome to see a guy getting excited about creating life with fish eggs. Not a lot different to how you make a baby. These should be science experiments that children do in school.

Simon clearly understood the assignment and 100% brought the popcorn-eating vibes
Yeah except for the fact that the vid is mostly likely fake.
10:04 You probably should've acclimated him to the pond water and temperature before throwing him in to reduce stress.
Can't really tell if he maybe did put some pond water into the bucket, little by little, and just didn't show that bit.
@@ElaMongrella If he did he would've shown it, he most likely didn't because he was clueless on how to handle fish. Even if he did acclimate the fish (he didn't), it still doesn't help with the whole throwing aspect, which is an incorrect way to introduce a fish to a new environment.
It doesnt matter, dont cry. Stop watching and unsuscribe. Hit dont show again.

the video is fake and clickbait though sadly
For those who don’t know, the channel that popularised the “hatching ___ from supermarket eggs” trend is called: “A chick called Albert” owned by Alwyn Wils, the name Albert is what the quail he hatched from the supermarket egg was called, he was the only egg that hatched, and Albert did unfortunately pass away
A clip from one of his videos hatching quail eggs is shown at 1:12 he has hatched a quail twice from supermarket eggs now though so it could be from either video
Omg yeah I remember him hatching a tiny bird egg from a nest that fell in his backyard, he has a great channel
I don't know whether Max intended it to be this way, but when he took the fish out and said "give me a peddle...good boy", it was kind of like shoving someone's head in a lake and saying "Give me a few bubbles....good boy" before pulling them out.
Edit: For clarity, I think it's very funny.

Or did he actually cross bred some caviars with some carp sperms ? Eh ??.... Oh my God.. He's genetically bred a new type of fish !!! ....

Don't use random UA-cam videos, most (like this one) are staged.
I recently found this channel and have binged a lot of it. But after this video I can honestly say that Max Fosh has won the internet.

I know Simon and you couldn't have gone to a better man for this, he's a good lad
Here is a tip, I would place max into another smaller container before releasing him into the pond. Lay the water inside the pond at have it sit at the right tempurature. Just flinging him would do a bit of shock to him. Idk, you probably did that though.
If that fish survived several tank changes (without going through acclimation) I’m sure it can do it again. It’s also a carp, sturdy as shit.
I mean he threw him up in the air, I doubt he took the time to acclimate him XD

Technically roe are the fish eggs, caviar is specifically sturgeon roe (for true caviar the sturgeon has to come from the Caspian or Black seas) that has been salt-cured and reshaped. So if you're somehow able to get a baby fish from it pop off but most likely you would have to just use uncured fish roe.

As a woman it was kinda wholesome to see a guy getting excited about creating life with fish eggs. Not a lot different to how you make a baby.
These should be science experiments that children do in school.
