Hello Gareth it looks like you know a lot about the M52. Quick question, my 97 Z3 has the red oil light about 4 sec after cold start before it turns off. Should I be concerned and what do you think it is? Thanks in advance, I subbed as well.
Im building an M50 engine, i bought it as a bare block, i cannot for the life of me get one of those splash plates anywhere in the uk, and the M52 plate doesnt fit In the usa theres loads, but nobody in the usa ships to the uk
I definitely had the gasket in there although it's impossible to see on the video. I don't remember if I cut the video and snuck the gasket in at one point or not. When I took this engine apart last year the gasket was in between the pump and pickup tube.
The plastic in there was probably your timing guides
