Meow that looks great!
Thank you.
Really nicely done. Looks real.
At first I thought it was beginning rather sloppily but in time the hand of the master craftsman was revealed. The result is very convincing; good work.
I'm glad you like it 😊
Love the choice of music, I dont model as much as I did when I was a teenager but when I do, I prefer jazz of any kind really. It's like the ultimate mental relaxation
I'm pleased you like my choice of music. It's always personal.
Interessting way. I prefer pens for the grains. Your washing method with inks ist brilliant.
Thanks a lot 😊
thank you for being so generous with your skills and time
Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I MUST attempt this process on my next kit!!! Thank you so very very much for sharing this incredibly informative tutorial video!!!!
I'm glad I could have helped you with my little tutorial... 😊
Great techniques - brilliant concepts, thanks for sharing. I have copied this film for future projects, although I will stop about a third or or halfway through the process - a little too much of everything towards the end....
awesome, i wonder, for redder wood, i should use Sepia ink in the last phase, or brown ink if i want to make dark, browner wood .
Excellent work. Thanks for all the tips and pointers Tom! 👍
Thanks, you're welcome 😊
Awesome! Thanks, Tom.
thanks, you're welcome 😊
That was just fantastic and I am in awe of your skills and your steady hands!!
Well done Tom and many thanks for sharing this informative video with us all on here. I really love your videos, not so much for quantity, but for Quality! You are a modelling hero!
Have fun with your next project,
Joe
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm very happy you find my little tutorial helpful.
WoW!! You are so amazing artist!!!
Thank you very much 😊
Excellent, Tom. Thank you for this!
This really makes clear these similar "background details" so prevalent in your other videos and which add so much. I appreciate your inspiration.
Greetings from near Boston, Massachusetts.
+Bradford White I'm glad you like it 😊
Fantastic job!!! What do you use as a brush for wood graining? A wooden stick?
Thanks - I use an artist brush no. 4 - red marten brush. It's essential to have a tiny tip...
Thanks, I try your technique next week. I have a wnw albatros D V just arrived.
Very very nice...What kind of paint brush was that at the first to paint the wavy grains?
I used a no 4 artistic brush and painted little strokes in a parallel way one by one.
Hello Tom.
Nice work. It was pleasure to watch your video. I've got some question. Did you used vallejo brown paints in this project? How do you apply ink paint? Is it necessary to use thinner?
I'm looking forward to see full relation of building WnW Fokker.
Regards Simon
+Szymon Viscardi thanks for your kind words and requests. No, I didn't use Vallejos for the paintings. Base was made with alclad's Mil-specs, grain with some brown variations from lifecolour. I diluted all paints - beside Mil-specs - with water. Even the inks. Usually I put a little drop of the inks on some plastic surface (not the model itself 😂) and take some water to get a nice paint which run into the lines or around some protruding parts to emphasize it...
Thanks for having a soundtrack that doesn't suck. So many people have horrible taste in music.
Where can i get those ink colors? great video thx!!
Art, Tom. Beautifully done.
😊 I'm glad you like...
Very much so. It'd be great to see more of the techniques that enable you to get such exemplary results.
I'll try to show it during the animation processes and will do some tutorials as well 😉
Awesome. Thanks man.
Amazing work!
thank you 😊
Thank you so much for it. Absolutely brilliant 🖒
you're welcome 😉😊
Thanks! Really needed a video on this! Big help for my gotah bomber!!!
P.s. your vids always get me, 10/10 on proffesionality !!!!!!!!
+Jan V I'm glad you found it useful 😊 thanks for your kind words...
Amazing. Tom you inspired to start doing my own videos. Keep up the good work!
Hi! Nice job! What kind of inks do you use for washing? Thanks a lot! Krisztián
Thanks - I use game color inks from Vallejo
Thank you very much for your tutorial! Love your videos! Please, answer, what is yellow ink? Is it something like wash, or is it yellow warnish? is it simple acrylic paints?
+Val B I'm glad you like it 😊 It's a special highly pigmented ink primarily used in the table top gamer scene...
These are washes of the so called "Game Color"-Range from Vallejo.
Here's what Vallejo says on their homepage about: "The Washes and Inks,
developed with a new resin, are used for shadows and for the application
of colors in layers. When applied over a basecoat, they enter into the
folds and grooves of the figure, and instantly brings forth the
features. They can also be mixed with the regular colors, or with the
Mediums....""
I personally use these washes for allmost every kind of accentuation 😅
Thank you very much for your comment! %)
Thanks good tutorial Tom.
+charlesbola1971 I'm happy you like it 😊
