In this song, he said "I love you" in three languages. First in English "I love you", then in Mandarin "Wǒ ài nǐ", and at the end again in Mandarin "Wǒ ài nǐ" and in Kazakh "Men seni suiyemin".

I subscribed to your channel after your first reaction to Dimash, SOS (he is the only one I watch on YT) because you spoke about him with admiration and respect and it was also the case for the following ones. Some reactors are impressed by his vocal skills (insane) but do not go beyond this. And to me, Dimash is so more than the most impressive singer of our era: his personality, his ability to convey emotions, his will to bring happiness to people and to transcend all boundaries, cultures and religions add the most important dimension to his voice. Dimash was the guest of honor at the final concert of the competition 'The Singer 2018' (Jessie J won). Lionel Richie liked the appearance of Dimash, his son-in-law was in the audience and was filming. I wouldhave liked to see Lionel's face. Dang, I watched that fight but didn't get to see that part of Dimash singing. I was REALLY angry that t Triple G got cheated out of that fight!
Dimashs performance of that is on his channel. The one with the kasakh flag behind him. He could have overdone it certainly but he did it perfectly fitting the occasion. I wondered how the mexican boxer dared to fight any kasakh after hearing that.

The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-7 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds and was used by storytellers. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music (Kui).
There are many legends and traditions associated with sybyzgy. In these legends the instrument is called a "living reed", because this strong, hollow stem, makes amazingly deep sounds.
The whole life of Kazakhs is imbued with music, it sounds in ceremonies and rituals, in everyday life and at holidays. Listening to the sounds of dombra, kobyz or sybyzgy, one can understand the history and culture of the Kazakh people.
It was easy and fast to make a sybyzgy, but it was very difficult to play it. Sybyzgy kuis (Kui: sung stories) were most two-voice melodies: the first voice came from the instrument and the second voice was the throat singing of the musician-performer.(www)

At the end he thanked in Kazakh and in Mandarin thanked the show, China and the orchestra and said I love you. Unfortunately, Lionel Richie forbade him from singing this song again. I'm always sceptical about song covers but with Dimash... no way. He took this boring song to the next level. Thank you for your great reaction (and I love your t-shirt). Lionel Ritchie did not forbid him to do this song. If there is an issue it is perhaps with a copyright issue between the holder of the song and Singer. Singer has had many troubles with international copyright laws. From what I understand Mr Ritchie has hear this and praised Dimash for it.
@@maryE05 Hello Mary, Lionel Ritchie is the holder of the song, he is the songwriter and the producer. The show took the permission for the performance, that's why it was out obviously, but no permission to Dimash for performing this song again. First time I'm hearing that Ritchie praised Dimash! Brian May of Queen did though.

My husband complains about how the last line is too different from original but I believe changing the "I love you" into Mandarin is a resonse to a higher calling.🎶💐🙏💐🎶 The "calling into the emptiness" part of this song is so very beautiful. Check out the guy in the tan jacket and colorful shirt who is shown towards the end This Jam, lead singer for the Chinese band Lion. He competed in the 2017 season all the way through with Dimash and heard all 13 of Dimash's performances. But as you'll see, this cover blew him away! 👍💞💞💞

Can you believe Lionel forbade Dimash from ever singing it again?! Yes, Dimash sang it better than Lionel, but he revived interest in the song, which could have worked out well for both of them. That made me loose all respect for Lionel Ritchie. Thank you for your reaction -it was great.

Really? Lionel Ritchie too? All this while I thought only Vitas forbade him to sing Opera 2. Wow. Thankfully, Lara Fabian didn't with Adagio. I think if you're as good as Dimash and as many followers as Dimash, some may see it as a threat. That's okay though. Good thing Dimash is not the kind of one-hit-wonder like some people predicted when he first came to fame globally. All those 'forbade' thing is just going to push Dimash to make his own hit songs even more.

Unfortunately richie did here this and threatened to sue Dimash but in the end settled with Dimash never singing his songs again. Richie went right down in my estimation after this
Yeah, Definitely makes me think differently about Lionel now. I'd be near tears if Dimash ever performed one of my songs. LOL
He couldn't sue Dimash for this. This is the responsibility of the show organizers to settle CR. In all contests people perform covers, it's not up to individual singers to settle such legal issues.
You are correct it is the organizer’s, not the singer’s responsibility to obtain permission. So when Lionel and vitas punished the singer in this case dimash instead, it obviously shows jealousy on their part towards the singer.
