This is actually a really cool take on the Personalized Finishers that Persona 5 did with their All-Out Attacks. It's pretty much what I'd expect Persona 3 would do with it. The cast here are more depressed (not clinically, at least for most of them) in this game rather than passionate in P5's case. As such, their finishing animations are more subdued while still keeping a bit of the flashiness P5 had with its A.O.A.P.F.s.
It's also cool that their final screens have them doing more casual natural poses as opposed to persona 5 where they are all dramatically posing/ showing off

They ruined the all out attack by having shuffle time interrupt it before the final splash card. LIKE WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA
I like timing it with the drop in "after the battle" 🌚
Then use it to finish off a gatekeeper, when you do that it skips shuffle time.
It’s cool Ken and Shinji kind of have mirroring poses with where the position of their hands are
I don't know if it's just me, but when the characters finally reach the last screen, the lighting reminds me of it switching the art style from P5 and the original P3 and P4 artstyles.
It's just the modern Persona look now, like how Persona 3 and 4 also looks visually quite similar
@@TechBlade9000you're not wrong because if you count the release year of OG Persona 3, Persona 4 only had two years of development after the release of P3 which makes more sense

These are excellent, borrowing what worked from P5 while still being true to the identity of P3. 5's finishers were flashy and oozing with style. The Phantom Thieves were righteous, rebellious, and confident. The backgrounds of their finisher screens are decorated with an overwhelming amount of colors and graphics, all of which reflect their personalities and aesthetics. They're mischievous and spunky. They're arguably having a good time.
The SEES is not like that. They aren't guided by morality, don't have things figured out/try to fix society's problems, no. They're scared. They have to confront death and cope with the world around them that they don't fully understand. The supernatural is invading their lives and they're just trying to navigate it all. They don't have time to be self-celebratory like the Phantom Thieves, they don't really even know what they're doing. They don't have a Teddie or Morgana to ease them into the other world, it's thrust onto them. As such, there's not as much power being reclaimed in these finishers.
We still get the close-ups and one-liners, but what was once an elaborate background with myriad elements is now a single, solid color with a shadow. It's less "in your face!" as much as "we survived."
Astounding observation! I like how you analyzed the difference between P5's AOA finishers and P3's and relating them to their own predicaments.

im so hyped for this game. I've only recently played persona 5 for the first time and only recently beat it. I love persona 5 and its one of my favorite games. This is my buddy's favorite persona so I'm super exited to play this. I also feel very lucky and fortunate that I get to play the reload instead of the portable version which ive heard is bad.

I heard Reload is more based on Portable though, just without feMC.

@@jjdoughboy2103 I mean, it depends in what you think is limited in terms of visual style. There are still many good ways to vision it without having to lump it in with P5/R. P4 visually has its own style that it could definitely find its flare if it ever gets remade like P3.

Happy how they were able to modify the way attacks and everything else shows in combat so that it doesn't look like a down grade compared to 5 royal.
Like how instead of wearing their normal uniforms to customised versions suites for battle.
And how like in 5 they dont rely on their personas 24/7 like they do in the animation.

Because she will most probably not enter in battle like Futaba, I can see her doing a similar role like Rise and giving buffs to AOA
@@joaolima7131 Even Rise participate in the All-out attacks, Fuuka is the only Navigator that doesn't participate in the attack.
@@gerardoantoniozerpachacin6580 that's why I said she may have a similar role to Rise, Rise doesn't exactly have an proper AOA screen in game, she appears right after the main 4 party members and she isn't framed or have an outline like the others, it feels like she is on front and the others even fade a little behind her.

the models will change but the 2d art that comes right after doesn't. same as p5's im assuming
@@bukalayzxWe've already seen the AoA portraits use the first/original outfits if you have them equipped. So it will change depending on whether you have these new uniforms equipped or the old ones. However, we don't know if this'll apply to other costumes (seems unlikely however).
@@ranser3455but it's still makes sense for the plot, that doesn't mean they would do for every outfit, that sounds like too much work, they only gain this outfit after Fuuka joins, it would be weird if they kept the old one, with the new outfits for example, it's probably to keep consistency
