I do love British in this game. They may seem a bit vanilla or boring to many people, because let's be honest they don't have the flavour or spice of some of the others, but they're good

@@sergeantmemeswaraj7048 Thanks, I played two games last night (they were like over level 100) I felt pretty confident because I can easily smash hard level in singleplayer aoe 3, and then I got my booty hole wrecked, I had just gotten to age 3, and then they rushed my base with the mother load of a cav spam (they were the French/Indians)
U can get better by training , and find a good friend to play also. Btw the one with lvl 100 home city is using exp mos, u can also get all 100 lvl home city with that mod. Cheers

Maybe get the church card and ship in Roger ranger and highlander with rocket shipments or just revolt

We need better AI for navy maps. i kind of fixed it by downloading the Gandolf Isle TAD which comes with an AiMain file.i did some editing on personalities,navy managing setting ai's to max training for ships(total 13,5 caravel,3galleon,3frigate,2mortar) and then use *Find* to search all [Gandal] and i see him adding his Gandal isle map name so i copy and insert navy custom map names i have and boom it worked. AIs navy fights and transporting units via boat to invade.

Hey, how do you find decent matchups at lower (medium?) skill levels? I've been struggling hard with finding matchups that dont end with either me getting stomped or dominating the match, its not very fun when the is totally onesided
I just look at the players amount of games played, win%, and rank. If those are about equal to yours then it should be a close game!
I used pretty much the same strategy against Russia, where I just tried to survive his push with longbows and outboomed him like crazy, then I just ran over his military base, because I basically had an instant supply of units and most upgrades on them

what is your criterion for choosing for virginia company or 3 villagers when you play team games ?
one important thing: make market first thing after going age 2. you want that wood upgrade... also remember if you wall, you give all the ressources to the enemy. he could have just sent 3 warrior priests (priest boom), 5 villes, 600g, go age 3 and then maybe even age 4 with warchief upgrade, making arrow knights to siege walls out of your longbows range. he could either fertile dance boom or just xp dance and shipping 20 maces over and over and make / send skull knights. you would have no chance with so many villagers but no ressources... and he can outboom with natural ressources while having better military and more mass...

If you were Aztec going up against this, what would you have done? He didn't use arrow knights to take down your walls for some strange reason.
Arrow knights for sure. You can't let brits get to age IV.

You should make a video of the best WOL nation since there are over 30 nations to choose from. I personally think the best is Korea or Malta.
I don't play WoL enough and there are way too many civs!!
Will you bring up stragety school for civs in liberty of wars. I am swedish and love playing with them so I need to learn moore about hos to play with them. I am a casual player and no way near good att aoe3 so your strat guidas are awsome!

Yes, join the discord and ask in the new users channel. It is called the XP mod, you can get all home cities at level 100 :)
How you got 24 cards in your deck? I got only 20 spaces available
you have to level up your home city through playing many games, you get an extra card for every 10 levels up to level 50. if you haven't figured that out already!

Awesome! There are only a few I would recommend :) I don't use too many as it is more enjoyable for me. Spacebar for Idle Villagers, E for Find Town Center, Q for Find Explorer, A for making villagers at the town center and A for making houses with villagers. The other important one is the control groups. CTRL + 1 for your barracks, CTRL +2 for your military and any other buildings/groups you can make in 3 and 4. :) Hope this helps!

Hello! No you can not. You can only upgrade British pikes to veteran (Age 3).
The only civilization you can upgrade pikes to age (IV) and (V) is Spain.

Well, obviously British are great doing turtle. Same goes to Ports on water map, but they do well on land too.

I play for fun! I enjoy doing different strategies and only play a couple times a week. If you have a good enough strategy in the right situation your skill doesent matter as much :)

I am sorry you won bc you are the better player, but not bc your strategy was so great. You gave your opponent 80% of map controll including all ressources there and trading posts. He should have build the faster and better economy to defend you by just affording more troops and going for Age V with upgrade. But he did not so he gave away his very victory.
Why do people say france has good goons. They are the worst goons in the game.
With their cavalry combat cards from their home city they can get upgraded.
@@SamuraiRevolution only one of their cav cards affect dragoons the other all hand cav cards. This one game I had yesterday made me so pissed French player only made cuirassiers I mean 342 of them and they beat 231 halberdiers and 541 Ruyter's. What mystifies me is how people ban Russia because of opricniks but they don't ban France.
