  • In this video, we will cover the various options available for managing the chart of accounts in Budgets Pro. First, you can delete any chart of account sections by clicking the pencil icon, selecting the rows you want to delete, and then clicking the trash can icon. If any accounts have been deleted or are missing, you will see a warning icon. You can click this icon to view the missing accounts and add them back if you wish.
    When we move over to the balance sheet, you'll notice that you can only delete accounts with a zero value for actuals. This ensures that the balance sheet remains balanced. If you have made changes to your chart of accounts or if accounts have been recategorized, you can open the budget settings and enable an option that allows you to temporarily delete balance sheet accounts with values. However, this option will be turned off the next time the budget is opened. With this option enabled, you can delete balance sheet accounts and re-add them as needed.
